Vaccinated snowbirds say they’re being ‘punished’ with Canada’s COVID-19 hotel quarantine

Some among the thousands of snowbirds flocking back to Canada for the spring are expressing frustration over having to undergo the federally mandated hotel quarantine — even after getting shots of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The new quarantine measures, which went into effect in late February, include additional PCR tests for those flying back once they arrive as well as up to three days of quarantine at a hotel — which could cost an ample $2,000 that travelers have to pay on their own dime.

FUREY: Public officials have failed to prepare Canadians for COVID-19

Many healthcare professionals agree that having an active and physical lifestyle, taking Vitamin D and other lifestyle choices can lessen the chance of a serious outcome if infected with COVID-19. In fact, the UK government sent its citizens free vitamin D supplements.

Meanwhile, public officials in Canada have never discussed these lifestyle choices. As a result, many Canadians are unaware and unprepared for COVID-19.

Why the Push Is on to Make Pandemic Life “Permanent”

One year after Americans were ordered to close down society for “two weeks to flatten the curve,” Bloomberg columnist Andreas Kluth warned, “We Must Start Planning for a Permanent Pandemic.”

Because new variants of SARS-COV-2 are impervious to existing vaccines, says Kluth, and pharmaceutical companies will never be able to develop new vaccines fast enough to keep up, we will never be able to get “back to normal.”

“Get back to normal” means recovering the relative liberty we had in our already overregulated, pre-Covid lives. This is just the latest in a long series of crises that always seem to lead our wise rulers to the same conclusion: we just cannot afford freedom anymore.

An Avalanche of Misdirection

An Avalanche of Misdirection

The World Health Organization’s report on Covid-19’s origins dances around the likely timing of the first outbreak.

The World Health Organization released its joint report on the origins of Covid-19 on Tuesday, but historians of science will study it for decades—if for no other reason than the obvious discomfort of its 34-author team. Even before the report’s publication, the origins of the virus were a matter of dispute among current and former political and public health figures. In time, these controversies will be lost to history. What will remain is the truth: the original Covid-19 outbreak in Wuhan occurred well before the disease rose to international awareness and lockdowns began—most likely in October 2019.

The Strange Sinovac Vaccine Phenomenon, Countries Report Increased Cases After Using Vaccine

The Hong Kong government recently rolled out a large-scale vaccination plan against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as COVID-19, but it’s been mired by frequent reports of serious adverse reactions. In just one month, 13 people died in Hong Kong after being inoculated, 11 of whom had been injected with the Sinovac vaccine, a Chinese domestically made vaccine.

The CCP has not reported a single case of serious side effects or death after it announced the administering of 100 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine in China on March 28.

Faster COVID-19 vaccination rollout in U.S. is prompting jab jealousy in Canada

… As of Friday, 101.8 million people in the U.S. have received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, 31 per cent of the adult population. In Canada, the number is five million first doses, or just shy of 14 per cent of the adult population.

States like Mississippi, Alaska, Arizona and Georgia have opened up vaccine eligibility to everyone 16 years old and up. Dozens more expect to do so soon.

The good news for Americans has prompted a slew of jealousy, and criticism from Canadians asking why our provinces are so far behind delivering vaccines compared to the U.S.
