‘Callous disregard’: Unvaccinated Metrolinx employees file $2.09 million in claims over workplace vaccine policy

At least a dozen former Metrolinx employees, including long-time staff and senior managers, are suing their ex-employer for a combined $2.09 million after being suspended without pay for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

In separate lawsuits filed last December, the former employees say they were treated with “callous disregard” when Metrolinx placed them on indefinite leaves of absence last November because they chose not to get two doses of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine by the Nov. 1 deadline Metrolinx prescribed.

Would a single win open the floodgates?

WHO chief ‘believes Covid DID leak from Wuhan lab’ after a ‘catastrophic accident’ in 2019 despite publicly maintaining ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’

Research into gain-of function at Wuhan Institute of Virology most likely cause of pandemic.

The head of the World Health Organisation privately believes the Covid pandemic started following a leak from a Chinese laboratory, a senior Government source claims.

While publicly the group maintains that ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’ about the origins of Covid, the source said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), had recently confided to a senior European politician that the most likely explanation was a catastrophic accident at a laboratory in Wuhan, where infections first spread during late 2019.

Pfizer Stops Covid Pill Trial After Latest Results Showed It DID NOT Reduce Symptoms, Hospitalizations, or Deaths

According to a statement by the company, Pfizer has stopped COVID pill trial after the latest results showed that it did not reduce symptoms, hospitalizations and deaths.

Pfizer has stated it will halt participation in a clinical trial for Paxlovid, its COVID-19 antiviral medication, for standard-risk COVID-19 patients after the most recent findings revealed the medication did not numerically greatly lower symptoms, hospitalizations, or fatalities.

In more than 65 nations, including the United States, Paxlovid, a combination of the antivirals nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, is presently approved or authorized for conditional or emergency use in the treatment of COVID-19 patients at high risk of developing severe illness, including hospitalization or death.

At least they’re consistent. I wonder what the side effects are?

Ooog…

My brother is currently in the Hospice at Sunnybrook.

While his spirit remains admirably strong he is now bed ridden as he can no longer stand on his own.

Just last week they loosened up the visitor restrictions allowing all vaxxed friends and relatives to stop by. Prior to that only his wife, myself and his children were allowed to see him.

Well now he is in isolation as there has been a covid outbreak on the wing. He’s been tested but we won’t know the results until tomorrow.

This will restrict his visitors again, likely to his immediate care-giver, his wife. I am her wheels so am there throughout the week.

It never rains but it pours.
