Ontario high school teacher under investigation for opposing critical race theory

Former MonAvenir Catholic School Board (CSC) high school science teacher Chanel Pfahl is being investigated by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) for remarks and postings she made opposing critical race theory in schools.

“This is what teachers in Ontario are being investigated for nowadays,” said Pfahl in a tweet on Tuesday. “It looks like I will be needing a lawyer.”

‘The Future is Not White’: The Normalization of Activist Elementary Education

Two years ago, I discovered the subversive diversity, equity, and inclusion movement secretly deployed to indoctrinate children — my children. Propaganda-based children’s books were read in class to my first grader. The private Montessori school offered no warning to parents; I merely heard my child mentioning rainbows and parades in the car-ride home from school. A trip into the classroom revealed the books This Day in June and Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag, complete with images of gay pride parades and “God Says No” signs. I was dumbfounded and felt betrayed. Why would these books be part of an elementary education, let alone a Montessori curriculum based on innocence of the child?

Bill 67 Would Entrench Critical Race Theory in Ontario Schools, Say Critics

Jordan Peterson says if ‘pernicious and dangerous’ legislation passes in Ontario, the rest of Canada will follow suit

The advancement of Ontario’s Racial Equity in the Education System Act to third reading has alarmed critics, who say the legislation would entrench critical race theory (CRT) in schools and could lead to its adoption across Canada.

Bill 67 defines “anti-racism” as “the policy of opposing racism including anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, anti-Asian racism, antisemitism and Islamophobia,” without naming whites.

It requires every school board to establish a “racial equity plan” for all of its schools, and sets out “anti-racism and racial equity requirements that apply to every college of applied arts and technology and every university that receives ongoing operating funds from the government for the purposes of post-secondary education.”

Rex Murphy: The new dogmas infecting our education system

It might be thought that with the decline in the centrality of religion and the huge embrace of secularism in western society that there would be an equal decline in doctrine. We may see doctrine as being the great catalogue of dogmas: those “truths” you must believe, those you must never challenge and those that are to be passed inflexibly on to young people with all the force and efficiency of indoctrination.

Parents Chant ‘Racist’ While Asian Mother Shares Anti-CRT Book During Fairfax County School Board Meeting

Parent activists in northern Virginia chanted “racist” at a public school board meeting while a mother shared an anti-critical race theory book about the district’s wrongdoings, according to video footage of the encounter.

Asra Nomani, a parent activist in the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), brought copies of the book “Race to the Bottom” to share with the FCPS Board. The book includes an investigation into the board’s role in lowering admissions standards at an elite magnet school to lower the number of Asian students admitted.

America tried exporting woke education — the UK fought back

An American school has been “downgraded” by officials. The cause? The school is accused of “placing more weight on teaching social justice than on subject-specific knowledge.” So apparently, pupils at the school spent more time being taught about “social justice” than tedious old skills like reading, writing and math. Teachers, meanwhile, were accused of clogging up lessons with “stridently expressed views on social justice” and creating a culture “where alternative opinions are not felt welcome.” All the time, educational standards have slipped.

Ousted San Fran School Board Member Says Those Who Opposed Her Are ‘Alinged With’ White Supremacists

Gabriela López – Racist

San Francisco Board of Education President Gabriela López, along with two other school board members, lost a recall election in a landslide with 72 percent of the vote cast against them.

One would think that if 75 percent of the voters were mad enough at you to trek to a polling place in the middle of winter to kick your butt to the curb, that might be a humbling experience for some people.

Why anti-racism should be resisted

Parents are fighting the return of segregation

“Young boys and girls must grow up with world perspectives”. On 22nd April 1965, Martin Luther King Jr, speaking at a meeting of the Massachusetts legislature, lamented the “tragedy” of school segregation. With the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the US had finally dismantled the Jim Crow laws — which King had joked about burying a decade earlier. The nation had come to King’s conclusion: “Segregation debilitates the segregator as well as the segregated”.

What Happens When Our Prisons Go ‘Woke’?

Indoctrinating corrections officers in critical race theory will make a difficult, dangerous job even tougher.

Diversity training is hot right now. And you may have heard that employers are doubling down on the concept, forcing their employees to take additional and more aggressive forms of “equity and inclusion” training.

Increasingly, government HR departments are pushing the same agenda as the private sector. Colorado’s state prison system embraced some of the worst forms of these programs. It began requiring all corrections officers to undergo shockingly racist “DEI” (diversity, equity, and inclusion) training, so they could apply what they had learned in their work with inmates. The lessons even caused some corrections officers, like our client, former sergeant Joshua Young, to leave their jobs.

‘Free Speech Advocates’ Panic Over Parents’ Push For More Curriculum Transparency

Teachers, unions and “free speech advocates” argue that more school curriculum transparency would be equivalent to “educational gag orders,” experts told NBC News.

State lawmakers in at least 12 states across the U.S. have introduced legislation to promote more school transparency by requiring teachers to post educational materials online, NBC News reported. Conservatives see more transparency as a way to prevent controversial curricula such as race-based education, Critical Race Theory (CRT) and sexually graphic books.

Every classroom should have cameras so parents can see and hear exactly what their children are being taught.

North Carolina, which has a Democratic governor, is spending millions on Critical Race Theory, even though that annoys many members of North Carolina’s Republican-controlled legislature.

It’s Good to Be Oppressed: Race Huckster Ibram X. Kendi Gets Paid $207 Per Minute for University Lecture

The leading intellectual light behind the Critical Race Theory that has already severely damaged racial harmony in the United States and is corroding American society itself, Ibram X. Kendi, has discovered the fundamental truth of our absurd age: the quickest path to elite status and highly lucrative remuneration is to be oppressed, victimized, and marginalized. Kendi has mastered the art of parlaying his alleged oppression into big bucks, fawning coverage from the establishment media, and respect and influence in the academic world. Many others have done this, but none with the breathtaking audacity and extraordinary success of Ibram X. Kendi.
