Critical Race Theory is How Democrats Plan to Win Elections … And that’s where a new Republican civil rights movement must rise.

Critical Race Theory is How Democrats Plan to Win Elections … And that’s where a new Republican civil rights movement must rise.

Liberal critics of critical race theory often act as if it’s a mysterious cult that emerged out of nowhere, while its conservative critics tie it to a history of academic Marxism. That’s true, but doesn’t explain why it has suddenly become so pervasively established in our culture.

Politics can be downstream of culture, but political culture is downstream of politics.

Secretary of Ethnic Studies?

President Biden’s choice to lead the Education Department has a thin record—except in one trailblazing area.

President Biden’s nomination of Miguel Cardona to be Secretary of Education was greeted with a sigh of relief from some education reformers—more for who he isn’t than for who he is. He isn’t a teachers’ union leader. He’s not a tenured radical. He isn’t a vocal charter school opponent.

Cardona doesn’t, in fact, have much of a paper trail.

Cornell Professor Invents Critical Race Theory Watchdog Site

Cornell law professor William Jacobson unveiled a website to track the rise of critical race theory — the ideology that claims America is irredeemably rooted in racism — on college campuses.

CriticalRace.org is a resource for parents and students to examine the impact and scope of critical race theory on higher education institutions. The website claims to be “the most comprehensive database” of its kind. It currently tracks 200 schools, though Jacobson told The Daily Wire it will likely expand to monitoring 500 schools in the coming months.

Coca Cola Abandons American Ideas

Now that we have entered the new world of diversity, inclusion and equity, the acronym DIE aptly applies.  While schools have long been involved in these activities, businesses have now voluntarily adopted or been forced to accept this left-wing ideology as well.

Consequently, Coca-Cola has sent out notices to law firms demanding that the company will “require diversity among law firms who bill it for work in the United States and reduce payments if they do not comply.”

Acronyms are ‘symptoms of white supremacy’, says San Francisco public schools’ art dept, after dropping its abbreviation

The San Francisco Unified School District Arts Department has decided to abandon its acronym, apparently in a bid to end racism – but many Twitter users have failed to appreciate this historic step forward for equality.

Formerly known as ‘VAPA’, short for ‘Visual and Performing Arts’, the department announced that going forward it would be referred to as the SFUSD Arts Department because “acronyms are a symptom of white supremacy culture,” a local ABC affiliate reported.

The name change is a “simple step” that can be taken to ensure families from all backgrounds “better understand who we are,” explained the department’s director, Sam Bass.

Campus Racial Thought-Crimes

The consequences of perpetuating minority student victimhood.

As the Maoist-like purges on university campuses continue, yet another faculty member has suffered the consequences of speaking words that may not be spoken and having views that are forbidden at universities where woke students, pretending to be supremely tolerant, indict others with their actual intolerance and join with faculty and administrators in suppressing views that they will not and cannot abide.

Netflix-Sponsored ‘Antiracist’ Grifter Ibram Kendi Supports Totalitarian Government

You’ve probably heard that Ibram X. Kendi, author of “How To Be An Antiracist,” just teamed up with Netflix to create films and animated shorts about racism for adults through preschoolers.

You may not have heard some of Kendi’s other ideas, such as his proposal to create a federal Department of Antiracism to go after speech and policies that don’t fit Kendi’s definition of “antiracist.”

Damn White Privilege!

Poor white teenagers in Britain’s ‘left behind’ ex-industrial and coastal towns are least likely group to go to university, watchdog warns

Poor white teenagers in Britain’s post-industrial and coastal towns are the least likely group to go to university, a watchdog has warned.

The Office for Students, an independent regulator for higher education said such youngsters – and their home communities – have been ‘left behind’.

Chris Millward, its director of fair access, suggested that there is more belief in equality of opportunity in big cities, which tend to attract a higher proportion of ethnic minority populations.

States Can Reject Critical Race Theory

States Can Reject Critical Race Theory

President Biden has reinstituted the pernicious philosophy at the federal level, but governors and local legislators can still fight it off.

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden rescinded the Trump administration’s executive order prohibiting critical race theory (CRT) training for federal agencies and federal contractors. This is a sad reversal for Americans committed to colorblindness in public life. But while the president’s order is binding at the federal level, state legislators still have a say in the matter. They should not shrink from resisting this pernicious philosophy.

How Not to Celebrate the New Year

England’s celebrated black poet turns down a knighthood to protest evil, racist England.

There lives in London a certain George Mpanga, age 29, who is the son of Ugandan immigrants and who calls himself George the Poet. Unlike most poets, he has been widely celebrated for his work. He was nominated for a BRIT Award (the UK equivalent of the Grammys), elected to Arts Council England (rather like the NEA), and chosen to read a poem at the beginning of the BBC coverage of Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle. In 2019, his podcast was nominated for the British Podcast Awards (yes, that’s a thing) in six categories.
