Polls polls everywhere, and not a drop to think …

After a week off in sunny SoCal, it seemed like a good time to take a look at polling in the presidential contest. As it turns out, not much has changed, especially at the national level, although the small changes that have emerged favor Donald Trump. A new NBC News national poll shows Trump in a dead heat with Kamala Harris, a five-point shift in the month since their previous survey. ABC/Ipsos went from Harris +4 in September to +2 last week; CBS went from +4 to +3 Harris. 

Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance calmly fended off questions from a reporter who suggested a crackdown on illegal immigration could exacerbate the housing crisis.

Vance, 40, who has long contended that illegal immigration reduces the housing supply and therefore sends prices soaring, brushed aside any notion that illegal immigrants are paramount toward building more houses.

“About a third of the construction workforce in this country is Hispanic. Of those, a large proportion are undocumented. So how do you propose to build all the housing necessary that we need in this country by removing all the people who are working in construction?” New York Times reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro pressed him.

With just a month remaining until the election, polls in all seven battleground states show the race within the margin of error, leaving the door open for either candidate to potentially sweep all key swing states.

While Harris maintains a slim national lead of 2 to 3 points and holds an edge in four swing states, recent polling has shifted more favorably for Trump.

The former president asserts that those he labels the “enemy from within” are more dangerous than threats from rival nations such as Russia and China.

Former president Donald Trump said in an interview that aired Sunday that he is worried about the prospect of unspecified actions by what he dubbed “radical left lunatics” on Election Day, urging that the National Guard or U.S. military be deployed on American soil against those he labeled “the enemy from within.”

Trump is right. Bear in mind this is from WAPO a paper that characterized Jan 6th as an “insurrection.” They don’t hear themselves.

Kamala Devi Harris often points to her time as a prosecutor to prove she is a tough-on-crime champion of public safety. And since she is so proud of her record, if elected president, she will try to implement the same policies she tried before. But the truth is that her disastrous policies as the San Francisco district attorney (DA) increased crime, freed murderers, and cost lives.

Tensions are rising between President Joe Biden’s administration and Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign, with Biden’s senior staffers being labeled as too “in their feelings” to fully support Harris after he was pushed out of the race, inside sources revealed to Axios.

Biden and Harris have struggled to remain on the same page since she announced that she would be taking his place at the top of the Democrat ticket in July, with Biden holding an impromptu press conference just as Harris was about to hold an event in Michigan on Friday, “ensuring” that she would get less live coverage. 

I’ve long found it peculiar that, way back in the 1990s, Tim Walz was taking the lead in promoting the new “Gay-Straight Alliance” club at the school where he worked. Usually, that’s something an openly gay teacher would do. However, when it’s an ostensibly straight teacher, my radar pings.
