Why are climate activists so angry?

Frustrations about the environment are a cloak for separate resentments

“Not being able to govern affairs, I govern myself.” That was the view taken by the 16th-century French essayist Michel de Montaigne, who lived at a time when France was wracked by civil war. He was unable to influence what was going on in politics, he reasoned, but he could cultivate his own character and intellect.

Germany: Fake Fräulein Eco-Nuisance Hopes To Avoid Sentence In Men’s Prison

Penelope Frank is a climate activist with the Last Generation group who glued herself to the tarmac of the Berlin airport in late 2022. Frank is standing trial for disrupting air traffic, and if convicted could be sentenced to a prison term.

She identifies as a woman, but on paper, her sex is classified as male — and therefore she would be sent to a men’s prison if she were to be convicted.

Environmentalists Blocked Release of Water to Fight Maui Fires

Global warming doesn’t cause natural disasters. Environmentalists cause natural disasters.

Environmentalists claim that global warming caused by people driving to work and cooling their homes causes natural disasters. In reality, environmentalists cause natural disasters by blocking sensible policies like forestry management and dams, and then once a disaster, like fire or flooding is underway, they contrive to do what they can to block any kind of relief because they believe in worsening natural disasters to convince people of their cause and give them unlimited power to destroy our lives.

Hating fossil fuels is such a luxury belief

The eco-aristocracy has no idea of the horrors that would be unleashed by phasing out oil and coal.

I hope you little people, even in the midst of the cost-of-living crisis, will spare a thought for the literary elite. They’re suffering right now. These poor scribes face a moral conundrum of epic proportions. Should they attend the Edinburgh Literary Festival even though its lead sponsor is a firm that dabbles in fossil fuels? How stressed they must feel by this ethical stickler. Please keep them in your prayers.

Scottish Government Felling Almost 2,000 Trees per Day To Make The Environment Safe For Wind Turbines

Just under 16 million trees have been cut down on publicly owned Scottish land to make way for wind farms. Conservation campaigners warn that planning regulations for new turbines on wild land are so relaxed they are difficult not to meet.

Mairi Gougeon, the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) Rural Affairs Secretary, last month estimated that 15.7 million trees had been felled since 2000 on land managed by the Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) agency. That equates to more than 1,700 a day.

No, racism isn’t to blame for the heatwave response

Jeff Goodell, climate correspondent of Rolling Stone, alarmingly told the Guardian in an interview on Sunday that racism is “at the heart of the failure to tackle heatwaves”. What’s more, “the people most impacted by heat are not the kind of voting demographic that gets any politician nervous,” according to the writer, who can’t have been paying attention to American politics for the last 70 years, let alone the steeply declining death rate from weather events.

A climate protest group has claimed its activists were left “bloodied and bruised up” after briefly interrupting Andy Murray’s last-16 clash with top seed Taylor Fritz at the Citi Open in Washington DC on Friday night.

Action was delayed in the first set when three jumbo tennis balls were tossed onto the court in the event’s main stadium, and Fritz later said he found the whole thing “annoying”.

America Is Awash in Critical Minerals, but Regulations and Environmentalists Are Blocking New Mines

As environmentalists and the Biden administration make an all-out push for the adoption of electric vehicles and renewable energy sources, they are facing a quandary: The Green Revolution requires more mineral mining, a practice they have long opposed due to its effects on the environment and Native American lands.

One crucial mineral is lithium. Electric vehicles, solar panels, wind farms, laptop computers, and cellphones are all powered by lithium-ion batteries. Without lithium, you can kiss goodbye California’s plan to transition to all-electric vehicle sales by 2035.

They “took part in a demonstration that disrupted traffic” and “refused to obey police orders to leave the site,” according to the charge sheet seen by AFP.

Bizarre scenes as eco-zealots are ‘kettled’ by ‘YouTube pranksters’ wearing ‘Just Stop P***ing Everyone Off’ t-shirts which bear a striking resemblance to Just Stop Oil

Eco-zealots were seemingly rounded on and ‘kettled’ by a group of ‘counter-protesters’ today who call themselves ‘Just Stop P***ing Everyone Off’.

The group – pranksters wearing bright orange t-shirts which bear a striking resemblance to those worn by Just Stop Oil – then formed a human chain around them in a bid to foil one of their demonstrations.

However, the counter-protesters then ‘dispersed’ after climate activists ‘explained their reasoning for demanding an end to new oil and gas’, JSO explained on their social media.
