The head of the Ontario Hospital Association says hospitals in the province are moving to urgently reactivate mass vaccination programs as the Omicron variant – the most contagious COVID-19 variant discovered so far – quickly moves to become the dominant variant in the province.
Preliminary data indicate that the new omicron COVID-19 variant is apparently highly contagious, doubling infections every two days or so. In addition, early U.S. data find that the virus variant can cause breakthrough infections in people who have received two and even a third booster dose of current COVID-19 vaccines. The good news from a new South African study is that while two shots of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine provide 33 percent protection against infection from the omicron variant, the inoculation offers 70 percent protection against being hospitalized from it.
After all, what’s the worst that could happen?
“This is historical. This is unprecedented. This week Omicron will become the dominant variant in the province… People cannot imagine the sheer scale of what we are talking about here. It is really challenging,” Dr. Peter Jüni, the head of the province’s Science Advisory Table.
Even if children and adolescents and people in their 20s are infected, it is naturally mild or asymptomatic,’ Japanese drug bulletin Med Check said. ‘It is ridiculous to consider vaccination for school children.’
“Overall, I’d say that we’ve had a pandemic of fear. And fear has affected almost everybody, whereas the infection has affected relatively few …. The fear was manufactured for everybody. And that’s what’s characterized the whole pandemic is that degree of fear and people’s response to the fear,” said Dr. Harvey Risch, a Yale epidemiologist.
The Omicron variant has thrown Britain into disarray. Travel bans have returned, with much of southern Africa now on the UK ‘red list’. In England, the government has activated its ‘Plan B’ for winter, imposing new restrictions from mask mandates and vaccine passports to working from home. Yet we still don’t know much about the Omicron variant and the threat it might pose.
Time and time again, we’ve watched as a ‘return to normal’ is dangled in front of the populace, then pulled away the moment it’s about to take place.
I’ve written repeatedly about how those in power continuously move the goalposts, and clearly don’t actually want to give up their heightened level of control.
Whenever a new opportunity to spread fear comes up, politicians seize it immediately, ramp up the fear as much as they can, and then attempt to keep their expanded power in place regardless of the underlying reality.
The key offender here is something called “relative risk.” If there’s a one in a million chance of something happening, that’s a minuscule absolute risk. If it goes up to two in a million, it’s still a minuscule absolute risk that you really won’t get bothered about. But that same difference can be presented as a 100% increase in risk or a doubling, which sounds really awful.
When it comes to COVID, the overall rate of death is in the tenths of a percent in the most vulnerable population. Headlines about Republicans killing off their voter base are simply scaremongering in the decimal points using relative instead of absolute risk. The real rate of death under age 50 for COVID is “indistinguishable from zero” according to the weekly British monitoring service.
Dr. Anthony Fauci advised that people require their own family members to show evidence of vaccination before gathering for the holidays.
Fauci explained the benefits of being vaccinated , despite many restrictions still applying to the vaccinated demographic.
Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise across Canada’s most populous province of Ontario, thanks to the Delta variant, while Omicron “will hit us hard and fast” next year, an expert panel said on Tuesday.
When questioned on an ability to distinguish Covid from the common cold, Dr. Rakel Kling, Northern Health medical health officer in Canada, stated the following:
“There is no easy way to discern between the common cold, influenza and COVID-19.”
The “highly transmissible” Omicron variant of coronavirus ripping through South Africa is putting disproportionately large numbers of children under 5 years old in hospitals, a top South African government medical adviser said Friday.
The alarming development raises the prospect of a new global battle cycle against the virus, given that the new variant has already spread to dozens of countries. The South African scientists also said the new variant was spreading much quicker than any previous wave of the coronavirus.

Environment Canada says the virus was detected late last month in three wild white-tailed deer in Quebec.
The department says the deer all appeared healthy and showed no clinical signs of COVID-19.
The wind is in from Africa. Last night I couldn’t sleep. Because a new coronavirus has arrived. It has been named Omicron. The arrival of a new mutation of the novel coronavirus should not come as a surprise to anyone who has at least a sixth grade understanding of viruses. The virus is mutating, as viruses have done since the beginning of time.
So what to do? First, expect dire predictions. Airports will be closed to traffic from some parts of the world. There will be calls for schools to close, businesses to shut down, government restrictions of every kind to be imposed. The most frightened among us will get the most attention from our political leaders. The sensible doctors will stay silent, while their more vocal colleagues will predict that the hospital system will collapse, and demand more government restrictions on our freedom. Meanwhile, public health officials will exhort every segment of the population to get vaccinations, “boosters”, and more “boosters”. Not only should children get vaccinations – in spite of the fact that this is scientifically questionable – but babies should be vaccinated. Maybe even in utero. Meanwhile, everyone should mask, double mask, and do this indefinitely.
Robert Kennedy Jr. has written what may be the most important book to be published on the COVID-19 pandemic since it started. It’s titled ‘The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health’.
I cannot emphasize too strongly how important this book is. It completely uncovers and exposes every scrap of evidence out there, showing that Dr. Fauci and the medical-pharmaceutical industry have coordinated their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and have systematically tried to destroy the reputation of medications that are effective against it, instead reaping a harvest of billions of dollars for their vaccines that are considerably less effective and much more dangerous to the health of recipients.
