Posh Twats for Palestine

How Israelophobia became the favoured hobby of the filthy rich.

I knew it. As soon as I saw that cast member of the Royal Opera House smugly unfurl his Palestine flag, I knew he’d be some privileged they / them with either blue blood or blue hair. And I was right. His name’s Daniel Perry, he’s a they / them, he was educated at a £48,000-a-year high school, and he calls himself a ‘queer dance artist’. Now all we need to discover is that he has ADHD and he really will be a walking checklist of middle-class twattishness.

Why Al-Jazeera Should Be Designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization

On June 18, the Qatari-owned Al-Jazeera TV network (in Arabic) broadcast another “exclusive” video of a speech by Abu Obaida, the masked spokesman of the Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas.

This is the group that started the current war in the Gaza Strip, when thousands of its members invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals and wounding thousands. Another 251 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip, where 50 are still held captive. At least 20 of those hostages are believed to be alive.

Belgium questions 2 Israelis at music festival over Gaza crime allegations

BRUSSELS (AP) — Belgian police questioned two members of the Israeli army who were attending a music festival in Belgium over allegations of serious violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Brussels said in a statement Monday.

In a statement to The Associated Press, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said an Israeli citizen and an Israeli soldier who were on vacation in Belgium “were taken in yesterday for interrogation and were released shortly afterward.” It said Israeli authorities “dealt with this issue and are in touch with the two.”

I bet the LPC is salivating at the prospect of imitating Belgium.

Canada, UK, France and 22 other countries say the war in Gaza ‘must end now’

You’re a nobody in Western literary high society if you don’t wear a keffiyeh

American Katie Kitamura, Swedish Fredrik Backman, British Max Porter, Pulitzer Prize winners Jhumpa Lahiri and Hisham Matar have one thing in common: they are well known Western novelists who don’t want their books translated into Hebrew.

Before the current war, there were one or two cases a year of writers refusing Hebrew translation for political reasons. The first was Alice Walker, the author of “The Color Purple.” Today, there are countless. Like the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature winner, South Korean Han Kang.

Since winning the Nobel, Kang has been contacted by several Israeli publishers. Her agent’s letter in response to the latest request from Yoav Reiss, the Israeli publisher of Persimmon, reads: “Kang does not wish her work to be presented in Israel.” As Chilean Isabel Allende has just decided.

‘Blaming The Jews’ – Again

The ways to avoid arrest in London these days, according to British author Douglas Murray, are: “[W]hen first being questioned by a police officer, he should promptly shout ‘Jihad, jihad, jihad’. Next he should whip out a sign saying ‘Slay the infidel’ before rounding it all off with a few cries of ‘Intifada’… Had [Montgomery Toms] followed my advice, the first officer would doubtless have said: ‘Very well, sir, please carry on and have a nice day.'”

Marchers gathered across the country calling for the ban on Palestine Action to be reversed, amid police warnings that those showing support for the proscribed group faced arrest.

Michael Higgins: Ontario teacher calls 6-year-old Jewish student half human

Antisemitism is iniquitous in all its forms, but it is especially wicked when it is teachers directing the ancient hatred at innocent children.

And yet it appears Ontario schools are a hotbed of antisemitism where teachers are taking a leading role in targeting Jewish students.

Purge the teacher’s colleges and teacher ranks, take over the schoolboards, suspend the unions and remove any vestige of DEI/CRT from the curriculum.

At least 20 killed in crush at US-backed GHF aid site in Gaza

At least 20 people have been killed in a crush at an aid distribution centre in southern Gaza run by the US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the organisation and a local hospital say.

The GHF said 19 were trampled to death and one was stabbed “amid a chaotic and dangerous surge” at its site in the Khan Younis area. It added that it believed people “armed and affiliated with Hamas” fomented unrest.

But Gaza’s Hamas-run Government Media Office denied the claim and accused the GHF of trying to “cover up” a crime.

Behind the Smile: EU Ready To Drop Israel

The European Union insists that it doesn’t want to “punish” Israel over its fight against Hamas terrorists, yet it appears to be on the edge of its seat waiting for an opportune moment to break all ties.

At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon following a meeting between European foreign ministers, the bloc’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas said “we see positive signs” on increased humanitarian aid access to Gaza, as per an EU-Israel deal struck last week. She pointed in particular to there being more trucks and supplies entering Gaza, as well as to the repairing of electricity supply points.

Why Palestinians Terrorists Want a Ceasefire in Gaza

In separate statements over the past week, senior officials of the Iran-backed Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) said that their terror groups “will not surrender.” The statements came as the Trump administration continued its efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip and secure the release of 50 Israeli hostages held by the terror groups. Twenty of the hostages are believed to be alive, while the remaining 30 are presumed dead. The hostages were kidnapped during the October 7, 2023 Hamas-led invasion of Israel. At least 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals were murdered that day, and thousands wounded.

Hamas supporters charged after allegedly breaking into Toronto MP’s office

Toronto police have charged four protesters who allegedly broke into an MP’s constituency office in April.

On April 24, police said, several people were demonstrating outside the office near Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West before they forced their way inside.

The group allegedly occupied the area and caused staff members to fear for their safety, police said.

Ya’ara Saks office I believe. The article doesn’t say. Surprised at the mask charge, is that a first?

Canadian universities too should be in Francesca Albanese’s report … They’re Islamophobic & anti-Semitic simultaneously!

Anti-Genocide Graduation Ceremony U of T

Canadian university administrators should remember that they too can be held accountable for genocide complicity.

“Universities worldwide, under the guise of research neutrality, continue to profit from an [Israeli] economy now operating in genocidal mode. Indeed, they are structurally dependent on settler-colonial collaborations and funding.”

This is what United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese wrote in her latest report “From economy of occupation to economy of genocide”, which documents the financial tentacles of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and beyond. Its release prompted the United States’ governing regime to issue sanctions against Albanese in a move the Italian legal scholar rightly described as “obscene” and “mafia intimidation tactics”.

Federal report warns of rise in antisemitic incidents against children in schools

A six-year-old child’s teacher told her she was “half human” because one of her parents was Jewish – one of nearly 800 antisemitic incidents in the Ontario elementary and high school system since 2023 reported to a federally commissioned survey.

Others included a 13-year-old girl being swarmed several times a day by classmates who raised their hands in a Nazi salute even as she begged them to stop, and Jewish children told by their teachers they were baby-killers for supporting Israel in its war with the militant group Hamas.
