Farewell to the ‘non-hate crime incident’

In August 2020, the barrister Sarah Phillimore mused on Twitter: “my cat really loves Dreamies perhaps he’s a Methodist.” Me neither, but the point is what happened next. As an experiment, a fellow-Tweeter reported the gag to South Yorkshire Police, saying that it displayed anti-Methodist hatred: clearly Phillimore was stigmatising Methodists as “wandering pests that defecate in other people’s gardens”. The police knew just what to do. They decided that Phillimore had committed an NCHI: a “non-crime hate incident”.

The office of Special Prosecutor Dan Webb released its full 60-page “summary report” Monday afternoon of its investigation into the office of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx over her improper handling of the Jussie Smollett case in 2019.

Smollett was convicted earlier this month on five of six felony counts of disorderly conduct, relating to faking a hate racist and homophobic crime in 2019, blaming it on Trump supporters, and falsely reporting it to the Chicago Police Department.

‘Islamophobic Hate Crime’ in Virginia Turns Out to Be Fake

Want power and influence? The quickest path to both in today’s absurd society is to be a victim, and hate crimes are the currency of victimhood. In such an environment, it is not surprising that many hate crimes would be faked. Despite the fact that this is a recurring phenomenon, however, every hate crime claim is taken at face value in the establishment media and blasted far and wide; when many are found to be fake, the lie has once again gone twice around the world before the truth has finished putting on its shoes. All this played out yet again over the last few days in a Virginia high school, with, of course, no lessons learned.

What the hate crime hoax expert thinks about Jussie Smollett

In 1987, Tawana Brawley was found unresponsive in a plastic bag, covered in feces, and with racial slurs written on her body. She later said she had been held in a cabin and raped by white men for days. In 2012, a gay club in Chicago was defaced with slurs and burned to the ground. In 2015, black students at Kean University received death threats on Twitter.

These high-profile incidents were all investigated as hate crimes and garnered sympathy around the country. They were also all found to have been faked.

There goes the narrative… ‘Each of the six suspects received hate crime enhancements with their charges, according to police.’

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — Six people believed to have targeted Asian women around the Bay Area in multiple robberies have been arrested, the San Jose Police Department said.

Their investigation focused on over 70 reported incidents of robbery, burglary and theft that happened between Oct. 2020 and Sept. 2021, police said.

Each of the six suspects received hate crime enhancements with their charges, according to police.

But the real threat is from the far right…

NASCAR’s Bubba Wallace Stands by Discredited ‘Noose’ Incident in New ESPN Documentary

Last year, a member of African-American NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s team reported that he had happened upon a noose in Wallace’s garage ahead of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

In the immediate aftermath, Wallace received an outpouring of support for the purportedly racially motivated incident. In the intermediate aftermath, an FBI investigation determined that the “noose” was a pulldown rope that had been in the garage since 2019. NASCAR released a statement professing to be “thankful to learn that this was not an intentional, racist act against Bubba.”

City of Chicago, Nigerian bros. will sue Jussie Smollett

City of Chicago confirms it WILL sue Jussie Smollett for wasted $130k police investigation into fake hate attack: Nigerian brothers he accused also plan lawsuit

Embattled actor Jussie Smollett still faces a $130,000 lawsuit from the City of Chicago – and more legal trouble from the brothers he hired to attack him – after he was convicted of staging his own assault in a botched career move.

The former Empire star dominated headlines in January 2019 after he claimed he was victimized in a racist, homophobic attack, but investigators soon determined his story was a hoax.

The Chicago Police Department came to the conclusion after more than two dozen cops spent weeks investigating the bogus story, logging 1,836 overtime hours in the process, a July 2019 legal filing said.

A longtime Chicago resident’s take on the Smollett fiasco

I offer my perspective on the Smollett hoax and verdict as a longtime Chicago resident.

It is simply incredible that anyone would believe that the “attack” would happen on a night when Chicago was having a polar vortex, and that there would be attackers yelling “MAGA country” out that night (or any night) in one of the most Democratic cities in America. (And who is carrying bleach and a rope at 2 A.M.? And what “celebrity” is going to a Subway at 2 A.M.?) My initial view three years ago when he reported the alleged incident was that Smollett must really be dumb to think that story would be remotely believable. Yet the media largely bought it, as did many progressives and professional race-baiters.

Calls Grow For Chicago State’s Attorney Kim Foxx to Resign After Smollett Verdict

The guilty verdicts in the Jussie Smollett fake hate crime trial underscore just how radical Chicago State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has proven to be.

She campaigned for office in 2015 advocating a radical brand of “criminal justice reform,” including no bail policies for almost every defendant and reduced sentencing, and during the riots last summer, her office adopted a “presumption of dismissal” for certain low-level charges.

Experts say Jussie Smollett exists in a delusional ‘matrix of arrogance’ as he awaits sentencing

When Smollett is sentenced next month, prosecutors said they plan to emphasize his bizarre turn on the witness stand, in which he lied for “hours and hours and hours” about how two Trump-loving bigots beat him up, tied a noose around his neck and doused him in bleach.

But far from showing remorse that might sway the judge in his favor, Smollett, 39, has continued to dig in his heels and told his attorneys to appeal the verdict.

Experts say that stubbornness is among the textbook signs of narcissistic personality disorder that Smollett seems to exhibit — and which may have been exacerbated by growing up in an unusual family bubble.

He’s also a racist crank.

Jussie Smollett will likely get less than a year of jail time, legal experts say

Jussie Smollett will probably be sentenced to less than a year behind bars for staging a race-baiting attack in Chicago — if he gets any time at all, legal experts predicted Friday.

Cook County Judge James Linn Winn will likely consider that Smollett lied on the stand and was motivated by self-promotion when delivering a punishment, according to lawyers and a former Illinois judge.

“If it was me, I would give him a taste of jail time, and sentence him to 1,000 hours of community service in a year,” former Illinois Judge David Erickson told The Post.

Jussie Smollett ‘100% Confident’ Court Will Overturn 5 Felony Convictions For Staging Hate Crime Hoax

Actor Jussie Smollett, now a convicted felon, is reportedly completely confident that an appeals court will overturn five felony convictions stemming from a hate crime hoax that he staged on himself back in 2019.

Smollett was found guilty on Thursday of five Class 4 felonies for telling police officers and detectives a myriad of lies from the staged hoax that he tried to blame on purported Trump supporters.

Jussie Smollett and the coveting of victimhood

Everyone wants to be oppressed these days.

At first glance, the Jussie Smollett trial looks like one of the maddest things taking place in the Western world right now. Here we have an actor accused of giving wads of money to two Nigerian brothers in 2019 in return for them beating him up and racially insulting him. Apparently it was all part of a dastardly plot by Smollett to secure the sympathies of the celebrity set and possibly become more famous to boot. He allegedly encouraged the burly bros to shout ‘MAGA’ slogans at him and to hang a noose around his neck. Make it look as racist as possible, this black actor allegedly advised the black brothers. Oh, and he had previously masturbated with one of the brothers, in a bathhouse, and on another occasion they also did some drugs. Allegedly.

Jussie Smollett guilty of staging race-baiting hate attack to boost career

CHICAGO — Jussie Smollett was convicted Thursday of staging a hate crime nearly three years after he claimed two Trump-loving bigots beat him up, tied a noose around his neck and doused him in bleach in a misbegotten bid to raise his public profile.

Twelve jurors in Chicago criminal court found the disgraced actor guilty of five of six counts of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report following testimony from 13 witnesses and more than nine hours of deliberation.

Turley: Jussie Smollett Could Walk; Testimony Aimed at ‘Jury Nullification‘

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley wrote Wednesday that disgraced former Empire actor Jussie Smollett could walk out of court a free man, thanks to testimony aimed at persuading the jury to sympathize with him.

I can’t see a jury deliberately ignoring evidence and letting Jussie off. He isn’t “likeable” for any reason.

Pity that at most he faces 3 years in jail. I doubt he’ll do a third of that.
