Hate crime hoax

A senior Black Lives Matter leader has strongly defended Jussie Smollett as he awaits the verdict in his trial on allegations of faking a hate crime, insisting that Smollett should be acquitted because ‘we can never believe police’.

Smollett, 39, is currently on trial in Chicago, accused of having orchestrated a fake attack on himself in January 2019, then lied to Chicago police about being the victim of an anti-gay, racist hate crime.

Jurors are expected to resume deliberations on Thursday, having deliberated for about two hours on Wednesday following a roughly one-week trial.

It seems likely that Jussie Smollett will regret his decision to testify in his own defense.

On Tuesday, a writer at The Daily Beast couldn’t deny that Jussie Smollett got “nailed” during his cross-examination, and now legal experts are chiming in and have nothing good to say about Smollett’s performance.

Not since Rumpelstiltskin has a mischievous troll spent so much time and energy spinning as Jussie Smollett did on the stand the last couple of days. But instead of spinning straw into gold, Smollett spent eight hours trying to churn what the New York Times used to call a barnyard epithet into a Frappuccino. We’ll see if the jury is interested in drinking what Smollett is putting out.

After the election of Donald Trump, there was a rise in hate crime hoaxes.  Note: I did not say hate crimes.  The crimes supposedly committed by right-wing Trump-supporting thugs were actually hoaxes.  We are all familiar with the attempted lynching of Brett Kavanaugh.  Many of us were appalled at the attack on Nick Sandmann.  In my opinion, though, the most egregious of the anti-Trump hate crimes was perpetrated by Jussie Smollet back in 2019.

A judge has denied Empire actor Jussie Smollett’s last ditch attempt to dismiss his criminal case for allegedly lying to police when he reported that he was the victim of a racist, anti-gay attack, and a date has been set for trial.

Smollett, 39, had told police that two masked men attacked him in downtown Chicago in January 2019, where he was filming Empire.

He was charged weeks later with filing a false police report, after investigators concluded that he staged the attack and paid two brothers to carry it out because he was unhappy about his salary and wanted to promote his career.

The superintendent said the culprit’s race “does not diminish the hurt it caused.”

Ablack student at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri, admitted to writing racist graffiti in a school bathroom, including a slur against black people, school district officials said Tuesday.

Students at multiple high schools in the St. Louis area walked out of class last week to protest the messages.

Anything to maintain perpetual victimhood.

Last week, racist graffiti was found in multiple bathrooms at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Students took the opportunity to skip class by staging a protest walkout, with some students cursing at school administrators and others crying, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Students took turns claiming they had been the victim of prejudice. Parkway Superintendent Keith Marty sent a letter to parents on the day of the walkout to condemn the racist messages.

Don’t you just hate it when there is so little racism that you have to fake it?

The latest bogus racism looks a lot like all the other fake racism: anti-black graffiti, swastikas, and perhaps a noose, followed by local outrage and lots of virtue signaling. The culprit is arrested and liberals try to hide the vandal’s identity because… awww shucks, you know why.
