Why isn’t Hollywood’s Free Palestine crowd celebrating the ceasefire?

What happens in Hollywood when, after years of protests against a perceived injustice, the unbelievable happens? The cri de coeur is answered.

If the injustice has anything to do with Israel, the massacre of 1,200 civilians by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and the ensuing war in Gaza, which just ended thanks to a ceasefire brokered by President Trump, the answer is: silence.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s woke ‘pro-Antifa’ blockbuster is flopping at the box office amid conservative backlash

Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another has sparked backlash from conservative audiences despite being the most critically-acclaimed film of the year.

The sprawling 162-minute thriller, directed by 11-time Oscar nominee Paul Thomas Anderson, has wowed mainstream critics and won praise from the likes of Steven Spielberg and Taylor Swift.

But despite the film’s many accolades, One Battle After Another has struggled to recoup its rumored $175 million budget at the box office so far.

L.A.’s Entertainment Economy Is Looking Like a Disaster Movie

LOS ANGELES—Brian Mainolfi has been drawing since he came to this city in 1994. The Baltimore native started as an assistant to legendary Looney Tunes animator Chuck Jones, worked on Disney’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and “Mulan,” and spent a decade on the animated sitcom “American Dad.”

The appeal of the work was simple. “People love cartoons,” he said. “And I love making cartoons.”

Since his last show was canceled in 2024, Mainolfi’s artistic output has been limited to dinosaurs and monsters in his sketchbook. Like thousands of people who work in the entertainment industry, he has become collateral damage of a precipitous slowdown in production. The only work he’s found is teaching an animation class at a Cal State campus three hours away, for $350 a week.

AI Actress Tilly Norwood Debuts at Zurich Summit as Industry Grapples With Emerging Tech: We Want Her ‘to Be the Next Scarlett Johansson’

AI actress Tilly Norwood has attracted the attention of multiple talent agents, actor, comedian and producer Eline Van der Velden told a panel at the Zurich Summit, the industry strand of the Zurich Film Festival.

Tilly Norwood is the first creation to emerge from recently launched AI talent studio Xicoia, a spin-off from Van der Velden’s AI production studio Particle6.

My theory: Trump declared tariffs on “foreign made” films to protect the old school industry until AI Film is able to stand on its own against all comers and Hollywood has reinvented itself into the King of AI.

Trump says U.S. to impose 100% tariff on all foreign-made movies

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he would impose a 100 per cent tariff on all foreign-made movies, an unprecedented move that threatens to upend Hollywood’s global business model.

The step signals Trump’s willingness to extend protectionist trade policies into cultural industries, raising uncertainty for studios that depend heavily on international box-office revenue and cross-border co-productions.

Big problem for California, many US districts offer film industry incentives and tax far less than Newsom’s corrupt little kingdom.

Apple Pauses Its New Show About Domestic Terrorism

So it appears Apple TV+ was going to release a new show this Friday called The Savant. The show stars actress Jessica Chastain as an investigator who profiles and identifies would-be domestic terrorists in an attempt to stop them before they commit violent crimes. But today Apple announced it would be postponing the release of the show, apparently out of concern the the subject matter is too raw after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Hollywood remains detached from reality and see’s only one type of terrorism of course.

Nolte: Unrepentant Jimmy Kimmel Reportedly ‘F**king Livid,’ Eager to Break ABC Contract

Reports are surfacing that former comedian Jimmy Kimmel is “fucking livid” over the suspension of his basement-rated late-night show, a suspension that will likely turn into cancellation.

Kimmel is also talking about — tee hee — breaking his contract with ABC.

… ABC/Disney cancelled Roseanne Barr, Tim Allen, and Gina Carano over much less.

As has been speculated Kimmel’s employers were happy to have been provided an excuse to wash their hands of a ratings disaster.
