Will Canada bar anti-India truck rally planned by Khalistani group?

The Justin Trudeau government in Canada is facing an unenviable situation as the Sikhs For Justice, an outfit that is banned in India, have announced to take out a car and truck rally on October 29 to motivate people to participate in the second leg of the so-called Khalistan Referendum 2020, slated for November 6 in Mississauga city. The voting for the so-called referendum’s first leg was held on September 18.

Looks like identity politics is really paying off for Junior.

Justin gets a deserved going over in the India press, pity the majority of our own media still kiss his ass.

Leicester’s communal violence reverberates across continents

It was a night that Leicester will not forget. Although tensions between sections of the Muslim and Hindu communities had been building since May, the scale of disturbances caught local authorities off guard, sending shockwaves all the way to India.

Violence, in which 16 police officers were injured while holding the line between rival groups of young men, has served a warning of how extremist agendas are blowing in from elsewhere, threatening a relatively harmonious tradition of multicultural coexistence.

Canada updates India travel advice with warnings of ‘landmines, terror’ in apparent retaliation

Canada has urged its citizens to “avoid all travel” to Indian regions within 10km of the border with neighbouring Pakistan, citing the “presence of landmines and unexploded ordnance”.

The travel advisory, updated on Wednesday by the Canadian government, urges its citizens to “exercise a high degree of caution” due to the “threat of terrorist attacks throughout the country”.

The travel advisory comes days after the Indian government urged its own nationals and students visiting Canada to “exercise due caution and remain vigilant” amid a “sharp increase” in hate crimes and sectarian violence there.

What is the Khalistan referendum, and why is India is so concerned about what’s happening in Canada?

“Jagmeet Singh wants to become ‘Prime Minister’, but of which country, Canada or #Khalistan?”

The Modi government has issued its sharpest statement yet over what it calls “anti-India activities” originating from Canada, expressing its concern and disappointment over Ottawa’s apparent lack of action on the matter.

It comes after thousands of Canadian Sikhs took part in an unofficial voting exercise earlier this week dubbed the “Khalistan referendum”, expressing their support for a separate Sikh nation-state to split away from New Delhi in northern India.

While the Canadian authorities have defended this as an exercise in freedom of speech, the Indian foreign ministry has accused Canada of allowing extremists to carry out “deeply objectionable” and “politically-motivated exercises” that represent a threat to the integrity of India.

Swaminarayan Temple Attack: Mr Trudeau, Mend Your Ways Or Khalistan Menace Will Haunt Canada Too

The ugly attack on the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Toronto has once again exposed Canada as a hotspot for pro-Khalistani elements sponsored by the Pakistani deep state as opposed to the image of a multicultural Canada that its Prime Minister Justin Trudeau loves to flaunt internationally. The temple was defiled on Tuesday with anti-India slogans scribbled on the walls of the premises.

If We Are So Worried About China, Why Trade With It?

Indeed:

The French foreign minister said Wednesday that the war in Ukraine will not overshadow France’s commitments to the Indo-Pacific region, where India and its allies view China’s rising influence with suspicion.

Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna and her Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed the security situation in the region and the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, including concerns about food security and rising inflation, officials said.

Colonna said the two countries share the same concern about China’s role in the region.

“We spoke a lot about the general situation in the Indo-Pacific and the many challenges that have emerged because of China. We have basically the same analysis, we also share the same concerns, because we know the role the Chinese are playing and we want to make sure that there is no imbalance in the Indo-Pacific,” Colonna said at a news briefing.

Jaishankar said that it was important for like-minded countries to work together in the region to ensure peace, security and prosperity. “We consider France as an Indo-Pacific player that has a long-standing presence in the Indian Ocean,” he added.

Indian and Chinese soldiers last week began pulling back from a key friction point on their disputed border as part of efforts to lower tensions in a more than two-year standoff that has sometimes led to deadly clashes. The two countries have stationed tens of thousands of soldiers backed by artillery, tanks and fighter jets along the de facto border, called the Line of Actual Control.

In June 2020, India said it lost 20 troops and China said it lost four soldier when the two sides fought with clubs, stones and fists.

Jaishankar said Wednesday that the disengagement of troops was completed.

The Chinese ambassador called on Japan for caution in dealings with Taiwan at a symposium in Tokyo on Sept. 12 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of normalization of ties between Japan and China.

“We hope (the Japanese government) is cautious in its words and actions with regard to the Taiwan issue, not sending a wrong signal to people supporting Taiwan’s independence, as well as not participating in any provocative moves that use Taiwan to keep China in check,” said Kong Xuanyou, the Chinese ambassador to Japan.

Trudeau is leading Canada towards a diplomatic breakup with India

First the US and the UK, and now India. Relatively smooth relations between India and Canada are about to rock due to an ongoing controversy.

In the last few decades, Canada has become the destination of choice for Khalistani terrorists and their sympathizers. And see, where it led Canada now.

Why Netherlands’ leading critic of Islam, Geert Wilders, is speaking out for Nupur Sharma

New Delhi: Suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma, at the centre of the ‘blasphemy controversy’ that has caused some unease in India’s diplomatic relationships across West Asia, is being publicly shunned by her party. However, she has found a spokesperson in one of Europe’s most polarising political figures.

Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician who has long advocated a ban on the Quran and action to limit Muslim immigration, has made multiple appearances on Indian media, in Sharma’s support.

“I support Nupur Sharma because I believe that nobody should be punished or apologise for speaking the truth. We might like it, we might dislike it, but she spoke the truth about Muhammad,” said Wilders in an interview to India Today Wednesday.
