Several television broadcasts in Iran are apparently hacked with pictures and calls on the public to rise up and take to the streets in protest against the government.

It’s very difficult to know the truth of the Iranian people openly rebelling against the Mullah regime.

The Mullahs are well protected by the IRGC but if Syria is any indication their fall may be slow at first then all at once.

Iran threatens US involvement will lead to ‘all-out war’ — as Tehran reportedly prepping to strike American military bases

Iran bluntly threatened the US on Wednesday that any involvement in its conflict with Israel would trigger an “all-out war” — as Tehran reportedly started prepping missiles for retaliatory strikes on American bases.

“Any American intervention would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region,” foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei warned in an interview with Al Jazeera.

The foreign ministry spokesman stopped short of elaborating, but thousands of American troops are based in nearby countries within range of Iran’s weapons

How likely is regime change in Iran now?

The Israeli hope is for ordinary Iranians to rise up against a regime in disarray and free the Iranian people once and for all

The clue is in the name of Israel’s operation. “Operation Rising Lion” is a direct reference to the Pahlavi flag which shows a lion standing proud against the backdrop of a glowing orb, the sun. In Persian this is called the “Shir-e Khorshid.” For many years now, Netanyahu has sought to speak directly to Iranians, attempting to transcend the Islamic Republic, and to present himself as the savior of the Iranian people. These ongoing strikes are simply a continuation of this policy, and Israel’s determination to avoid civilian casualties (something we’ve not seen in Gaza) feeds into its desire for an anti-regime uprising caused by elite splits and popular rage.

Wishful thinking? Iranians are likely gun-shy. Obama turned a blind eye to previous anti-regime efforts.

Vance Warns Trump May ‘Take Further Action To End Iranian Enrichment’

The Trump administration has begun sending warning flares to Iran that might equal some in Tehran’s skyline these days about their future if they do not give up their nuclear ambitions. First, Donald Trump himself took a cease-fire off the table while Iran refuses to concede. Now J.D. Vance has followed that up with a stark warning of American intervention.

Israel Just Ended China’s Great Power Status in the Middle East

Israeli air and drone strikes during the early hours of June 13th crippled Iran — and severely set back Tehran’s regional ambitions. The Israel Defense Forces hit nuclear weapons development facilities and ballistic missile sites, and killed senior military officers, including Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the armed forces chief of staff, and Major General Hossein Salami, the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Iranian media announced the death of Ali Shamkhani, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s top adviser.

Iran was behind two assassination attempts on President Trump, Israeli PM Netanyahu claims in bombshell interview

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran Sunday of orchestrating the two failed assassination attempts on President Trump during his third presidential campaign last year.

Netanyahu characterized Trump as the greatest threat to Iran and its ambitions for acquiring a nuclear weapon — claiming that’s why the rogue regime tried to murder him, in a shocking moment during an interview with Brett Baier of Fox News.

A Battered Iran Signals It Wants to De-Escalate Hostilities With Israel and Negotiate

DUBAI—Iran has been urgently signaling that it seeks an end to hostilities and resumption of talks over its nuclear programs, sending messages to Israel and the U.S. via Arab intermediaries, Middle Eastern and European officials said.

In the midst of a ferocious Israeli air campaign, Tehran has told Arab officials they would be open to return to the negotiating table as long as the U.S. doesn’t join the attack, the officials said. They also passed messages to Israel saying it is in the interest of both sides to keep the violence contained.

But with Israeli warplanes able to fly freely over the capital and Iranian counterattacks inflicting minimal damage, Israeli leaders have little incentive to halt their assault before doing more to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites and further weaken the theocratic government’s hold on power.

What would the point of this be? Regime change seems the best course of action. This is nothing more than a Hail Mary by the Mullahs in my view.

Israeli strikes spark anti-regime sentiment across Iran

As Israel’s devastating attack on Iran’s nuclear sites — and the killing of scientists and top military personnel — began to unfold early this morning, UnHerd was able to speak to our contacts across the Islamic Republic. The dominant reaction was not anger but jubilation, and hope that the regime’s failure to respond in kind would hasten its demise.

Mohammad, 20, told us from Tehran: “This is our chance to rise up against them because they have shown themselves to be so weak. Our liberation is very close, and they do not have big enough security forces to suppress us.” He went on: “The generals and military officers are now so scared of being targeted by Israel that they won’t dare to come after us.”

Trump warns America ‘could get involved’ directly in Israel-Iran conflict

President Trump warned Sunday that the US could get directly involved in the Israel-Iran conflict if things continue to escalate.

While Trump predicted that Iran and Israel will “make a deal” to end the deadly violence that has seen the Jewish state and Islamic republic exchange countless missiles since Friday, the president said the US may find itself involved if a truce doesn’t happen.

Trump vetoed Israeli plan to kill Iran’s supreme leader – report

President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli plan in recent days to kill Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, two US officials told Reuters on Sunday.

“Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do we’re not even talking about going after the political leadership,” said one of the sources, a senior US administration official.

The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said top US officials have been in constant communications with Israeli officials in the days since Israel launched a massive attack on Iran in a bid to halt its nuclear program.

Iranians in Canada reeling as Israel’s fatal attacks reverberate through diaspora

Mona Ghassemi, president of the Iranian Canadian Congress, was at home in Montreal when she first heard about the Israeli strikes in Iran early Friday. She called her mother, learning her aunt and cousin in Iran awakened to the sounds of nearby missile blasts but were unharmed.

“Residential buildings were hit, and there were children among the killed. So this, of course, is very devastating,” Ms. Ghassemi said.

The Israeli military attack is reverberating 10,000 kilometres away as the Iranian diaspora in Canada reels from the sudden escalation of a long-simmering conflict.

Vivian Bercovici: Is this the end of Iran’s vicious regime?

Attack sirens wailed in every corner of Israel at 3 am on Friday morning, including the isolated kibbutz in the south where I live. This was followed immediately by an ear-splitting screech that overrode every Israeli cell phone. It was followed by a message from the Home Front Command. The screech and message were unprecedented. It did the trick and grabbed the attention of this war-weary nation.

Obama Trusted Iran — Israel Didn’t

Where Obama’s rhetoric failed, Israel has taken steps to neutralize Iran’s nuclear program.

Israel’s massive strike on Iran’s nuclear program, codenamed “Operation Rising Lion,” is a stunning rebuke to the Obama (and later Biden) administration’s nuclear deal with the Mullahs. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a Churchillian-like address to his nation and the world, said that Iran was perhaps months away from producing at least nine atomic bombs that threatened Israel’s very survival. “Israel will never allow those who call for our annihilation to develop the means to achieve that goal,” he said. The Jewish state, he continued, “backed those words with action.”

Iran Saw What Looked Like Weakness – Then Time Ran Out

The Islamic Republic of Iran was no longer hiding its ambitions or disguising its defiance. It was openly confronting the United States, discarding every red line and ultimatum Washington drew in the sand.

At the center of the regime’s defiance lay one uncompromising reality: Iran would not stop enriching uranium. U.S. President Donald J. Trump made it clear: if Iran wanted a deal, enrichment had to stop. Period. Iran repeatedly came back with “no.” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his top nuclear negotiators declared again and again that enrichment was off the table. In fact, they escalated it. Iran’s leaders mistook Trump’s preference not to use crushing military force for a lack of resolve to stop them.

But they have friends all over …
