Islamism — the threat to Canada you won’t hear uttered by the Liberals

Since the October 7 pogrom by Hamas in southern Israel, Canada has seen a staggering surge in antisemitism, up 670 per cent in 2024, and in terrorism charges, up 488 per cent from April 2023 to March 2024. In both cases, the salient factor is Islamism.

Islamists, a small but influential fraction of Muslim communities, harbour the profound conviction that they “should deploy the necessary efforts not only to rule according to Sharia law but also to Islamize society, laws, governance, and all aspects of life…. across the Muslim world and beyond.”

Greg Abbott Takes Strong Action Against Terrorism-Tied Organizations CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that he had designated the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist groups.

Both of these organizations have had longstanding ties to radical Islamic terrorism.

In a post on X, the governor noted that his proclamation “bans them from buying or acquiring land in Texas and authorizes the Attorney General to sue to shut them down.”

Joe Adam George: Canada must be more vigilant, not less, about would-be immigrants with terror links

In a development that went largely unnoticed, Liberal MP Salma Zahid recently tabled a petition in the House of Commons urging the federal government to admit members of Jamaat-e-Islami — Bangladesh’s largest Islamist party. The petition noted that in the past, some members of Jamaat-e-Islami had been deemed inadmissible to Canada on security grounds. However, it argued that the group “has engaged in democratic processes and governance in Bangladesh” and that members seeking asylum in Canada are “law-abiding citizens who uphold democratic values.” It urged the government to ensure they receive “fair and just treatment.”

Better yet ban Muslims.

In his new book, The Big Payback, the British comedian Sir Lenny Henry has called on the UK Government to pay £18tn in reparations for slavery to black British people.

Having spent the past five years researching a history of slavery and the slave trade in the Islamic world, what struck me especially about Sir Lenny’s intervention (apart from the figure of £18tn, which is equivalent to between six and seven times the size of the UK’s economy), was the continued dominance of the transatlantic trade in public discourse about slavery.

While the West has engaged in critical discussions over this egregious phenomenon for many years, the same cannot be said for swathes of the Middle East: a region in which slavery and the accompanying trade endured without pause from the seventh to the 20th centuries.

Alleged terrorist released from Canadian Army reserves just days before flying to Israel

Netiv HaAsara – Dead Canadian Terrorist

Zachareah Quraishi of Airdrie, Alta., was released from the Canadian Armed Forces reserves on July 10, last summer. Within 12 days, he’d bought a plane ticket to Israel, rented a car, and obtained a large kitchen knife.

Israeli authorities say that within hours, the 21-year-old attempted a terror attack on Netiv Ha’asara, a gated village of 900 close to the northern border of the Gaza Strip, on July 22.

It’s nice that our outreach extends to training their terrorists.

Europe stopped a Hamas-linked terror plot — and Canada should heed the warning

In recent weeks, German authorities — working with partners across Europe and with crucial intelligence support from Israel — disrupted a sophisticated Hamas-linked plot to carry out targeted assassinations against Jewish and Israeli civilians in Berlin and other cities. Five suspects were arrested in Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and at the Czech border. Weapons included an AK-47, eight Glock pistols, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

This is misinformation. In Canada only Christians and Nazi Fight Clubbers can be terrorists and all Muslims are saints even the Uber driver sex fiends.

Nigeria’s Christians are being pushed to the brink of extinction – and could be wiped off the map within two generations without urgent international intervention.

That’s the chilling warning from Emeka Umeagbalasi, the outspoken founder of Nigeria’s International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety). And he’s not mincing his words.

The veteran activist says a silent, systematic genocide has swept Africa’s most populous nation for nearly two decades – a ‘long-running, coordinated campaign’ of killings, kidnappings and church burnings carried out mostly by Islamist militants and enabled by the Nigerian state itself.

Migrant accused of sex assault claims he would be attacked if deported

A Pakistani migrant accused of sex assault in Britain claims that he would be attacked if deported to his home country.

The unnamed asylum seeker argued that people in Pakistan could target him because of sex offence allegations levelled against him in the UK.

Though his claim for international protection in Britain was initially dismissed, he has now won an appeal as an upper immigration tribunal ruled there had been mistakes in the original decision. He will have his case reheard.

Nigeria Is the “Global Epicenter of Violent Christian Persecution”

Jihadist violence continues to escalate in Nigeria. Christians in the country face systematic, targeted violence, primarily from Islamic terror groups such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), alongside radical Muslim Fulani factions. These groups explicitly target Christians through killings, kidnappings, sexual violence, and destruction of villages. The Nigerian government’s failure to protect Christians and punish perpetrators has only strengthened the Islamic militants’ influence.

The violence against Christians in Nigeria has escalated sharply since at least 2011, with documented killings and attacks increasing steadily. Data from Open Doors show over 41,000 Christian deaths between October 2011 and September 2024, highlighting a prolonged and intensifying crisis.

Birmingham is a failing city – and a worrying harbinger of Britain’s future

The nation must start paying proper attention to the tragic disintegration of Birmingham. There was a time when the city’s canals promised to make it a Venice of the North. It was the engine room of the UK, a town of a thousand trades producing everything from guns to buttons.

Even as industry began to crumble, it showed promise to pivot into a cradle of innovation. Not only was it the birthplace of heavy metal and the Odeon cinema chain, it was also once the crucible for creative giants, from J R R Tolkien to Robert Plant.

Today it is the poster child for national decline. The mention of the city evokes images of striking binmen, rats as big as cats, “no-go” Islamic enclaves, “slum” neighbourhoods and a stillborn city centre strangled by a ring road. The city is a cautionary tale in the perils of Left-wing complacency and the follies of progressive utopianism – one the nation must heed to move forward.

The Slow Death of the German Christmas Market

Is the Weihnachtsmarkt dying out? Magdeburg, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt, is the latest German city to cancel its Christmas market over security concerns. Last December, a Saudi psychiatrist and refugee named Taleb al-Abdulmohsen drove his car into crowds during the city’s festivities, killing six people. This year, there are fears that such an attack could be repeated and that the proper protections would not be in place.

Another reason to thank Muslims.
