Pakistan: Islamists against Muhammad cartoons stage comeback

Last month, Pakistan lifted a ban on the hardline Islamist party, Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP), which has been the face of anti-France protests over the reprinting of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. The TLP’s jailed leader, as well as hundreds of his supporters, were released and the party will now be allowed to participate in mainstream politics. Many fear that the move has implications not just for Pakistan’s politics but also for the wider region and the rest of the world.

On 31 October, police officer Irfan Ahsan was posted to provide security at Wazirabad town in Pakistan’s Punjab Province, where hundreds of TLP protestors had been camping for more than a week with the aim marching to the capital Islamabad to force the government to expel the French envoy over the reprinting of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in a satirical magazine.

The protesters were also demanding the release of their leader, Saad Rizvi, who had been jailed under anti-terrorism laws.

Who Are the Extremist ‘Grey Wolves’?

Last month, the US Congress passed an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that could affect the status of the far-right, extremist group that operates both inside and outside Turkey: the Grey Wolves.

The amendment, introduced by Congresswoman Dina Titus (D-NV), requires that the State Department send a report to Congress on the activities of the Grey Wolves against the United States and its allies — including an assessment of whether the Grey Wolves meets the criteria to be designated as a foreign terrorist organization.

Salah Abdeslam and the Banality of Terror

The only surviving attacker from the terror commando that descended on Paris on the night of Nov. 13, 2015, is currently on trial. The young man used to like going out, drinking alcohol and smoking joints. What happened?

The witness, François Hollande, walks quickly through the courtroom, past the light-colored, wooden benches where the co-plaintiffs and journalists are sitting. Past the huge glass box from which 11 of the 20 defendants are following the proceedings. The former French president doesn’t even look at them before stopping at a lectern at the front of the courtroom.

“Christians Enjoy No Rights in This Country”: The Persecution of Christians, October 2021

“Christians Enjoy No Rights in This Country”: The Persecution of Christians, October 2021

The Muslim Slaughter of Christians

United Kingdom: On Oct. 15, Ali Harbi Ali, a 25-year-old Muslim man of Somali descent, lunged at and repeatedly stabbed British MP Sir David Amess with a knife. Amess, 69, died soon after. The murder took place inside Belfairs Methodist Church in Essex, where Amess had gone to meet with his constituents. Although initial reports indicated that the motive was unclear, police later declared it a “terrorist incident,” with “a potential link to Islamist extremism.” It is worth noting that, when it comes to severely persecuting and slaughtering Christians, Somalia is the world’s third-worst ranked nation, after Afghanistan (#2) and North Korea (#1).

Look at Buddha holes for $5, Taliban offers

Fresh from their conquest of Afghanistan, the Taliban are welcoming intrepid tourists to the famous Bamiyan Buddha statues, ancient monuments that the militant group blew up two decades ago.

Hewn out of a rocky cliffside in central Afghanistan’s Bamyan Valley around the sixth Century AD, the Bamiyan Buddhas stood more than 150 feet tall for 1,400 years, until the Taliban blew them to pieces with high explosives in 2001, shortly before the US invasion ended their brief reign over Afghanistan.

London or Londonistan?

London, where imams are free to foment holy war against the West and MPs are killed in churches, is being strangled by Islamism.

“Officials of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, got in touch with those who had to host Eric Zemmour to dissuade them.” Thus The Spectator tells how the journalist and probable candidate for the French presidential elections of 2022 (who lives under strict police protection and is threatened with beheading) did not find a room in London for his conference.
When asked directly if Khan was involved, a spokesman for the mayor said: “No one who wants to divide our communities or incite hatred of people because of the color of their skin or the god they worship is welcome in our city”. A spokesperson for Zemmour replied: “Surprising that in a city where calls for jihad are allowed on the streets. Bizarre in the country of free speech.”

Crown seeks terrorism peace bond in Calgary after Canadian mother freed from ISIS detention camp

A Canadian woman who landed in Alberta earlier this week after being held at an ISIS detention camp in Syria for two years appeared in a Calgary courtroom Friday as prosecutors seek a terrorism peace bond.

Defence lawyer Yoav Niv and prosecutor prosecutor Ben Rodgers set a two-day hearing before provincial court Judge Lloyd Robertson in March, when the Crown’s application will be heard.

A publication ban protects the 30-year-old woman’s identity. CBC News will call the 30-year-old “S.A.,” (Ed. short for Shitty Ass?) as she was previously identified in Federal Court.

‘Jihad squad’ joke about Ilhan Omar kicks up a storm

Controversial congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) has been accused of “anti-Muslim bigotry” after a video emerged of her joking about lawmaker Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) being part of a “jihad squad.”

The 75-second clip, posted on Twitter by the PatriotTakes group, shows Boebert addressing what it described as a Thanksgiving gathering and making a quip about having shared an elevator in the US Capitol building with Omar and a staffer. When Omar entered the elevator, the GOP congresswoman joked, she told the staffer they “should be fine” since the Democrat “doesn’t have a backpack.”
