At least 59 people killed in twin attacks on mosques in Pakistan
At least 59 people have died in bomb attacks on two mosques in Pakistan as the country held a public holiday to celebrate the prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
In the most serious incident, a suicide bomber killed at least 54 people who were gathering for a parade near a mosque to mark the prophet’s birthday in restive Balochistan province.
A second attack struck a mosque in a police station compound in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing five people and collapsing the building.

Marseille: a new shooting leaves two dead and one injured
An investigation was opened for assassinations and attempted assassination by an organized gang after a shooting on Thursday evening in Marseille , during which two men were killed and another injured, the prosecutor’s office said on Friday September 29. The shooting took place on a public highway, around 7:40 p.m., in the Chutes-Lavie district, in the 4th arrondissement.
“ The cases found on site corresponded to 7.62 caliber ammunition ”, those of assault rifles such as Kalashnikovs, said the prosecutor. A 41-year-old man was “ found deceased, affected by multiple impacts ”, indicates the magistrate, specifying that this forty-year-old had been “ involved in 2019 in acts of violence with a weapon against a young woman collateral victim, as part of ‘a brawl outside a discotheque ‘. A 24-year-old man, known to the courts for common law offences, died a little later “ as a result of cervical injuries ”.

September has become the worst month for shooting deaths in Sweden since records began in 2016, after two people died in separate shootings on Wednesday night, bringing the monthly total to 11.
Another person died on Thursday morning after a bomb blast.
The country has been rocked by a deadly wave of shootings and explosions in recent weeks – many suspected to be linked to a split within the Foxtrot gang.
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is responsible for a long list of crimes against humanity, including genocide, slavery, child abduction, human trafficking, drug dealing and, of course, terrorism.

New York State taxpayers have handed over $23 million to a number of divisive Islamist groups over the last ten years, including one institution banned in the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist organization, according to state funding reports obtained by Focus on Western Islamism. The funds came from several state agencies, but primarily from New York’s Department of Education.
“This information is shocking. It’s unbelievable that New Yorkers’ tax dollars are going to groups that preach and advocate hatred. Not one penny should go to them,” former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind told FWI. Hikind served in the legislature for 36 years and founded Americans Against Antisemitism in 2019. “I will call on the governor to stop this,” he said.

Quebec mother bringing government to court over decision not to repatriate her from Syria
A Quebec mother of six who is being held in Syria is bringing the government to court over its decision not to repatriate her to Canada.
The woman and her children are among many foreign nationals being held in Kurdish-run camps for suspected ISIS members and their families.
The government agreed previously to repatriate the children but decided earlier this year not to repatriate the mother, citing security concerns.
A pan-Canadian Muslim group is asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and others to retract and apologize for their comments made with respect to the March for Children on Sept. 20, saying they used their influence to “unjustly demonize families” and “alienate countless students.”
The Muslim Association of Canada issued a statement on the platform X on Sept. 25, saying it “strongly condemns remarks on recent protests made by certain politicians, including our Prime Minister, as well as statements from school boards, unions, and reports from some media outlets.”

It deals with the “creeping Islamization of Germany”. Since I won’t talk about Islam anymore, Schreiber says, some might “celebrate and open bottles of sparkling wine.”

A military judge at Guantanamo Bay has ruled one of the five defendants charged over the 9/11 attacks is not fit to stand trial in a death-penalty case.
