
A joint statement issued by the White House Monday evening condemning the Hamas attacks on Israel over the weekend includes signatures from five of the leaders of the G7 nations.
Absent from the list: Canada and Japan.
The statement, signed by Emmanuel Macron of France, Olaf Scholz of Germany, Joe Biden of the United States, Giorgia Meloni of Italy and Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom, said “the terrorist actions of Hamas have no justification, no legitimacy and must be universally condemned.”
