Why should Justin Trudeau be entering his last full year as PM? Because it’s 2022

It’s a mid-life crisis like no other as Justin Trudeau turns 50 with nowhere to go but down.

The three-term prime minister and Christmas Day baby of 1971 faces a bleak Omicron beginning to his seventh year in power while confronting a major personal decision: Stay or go?

But, but, but, you may say, that question was answered with Trudeau emphatically insisting he will absolutely run again. Oh, puh-LEEZE. What leader would surrender power by even hinting at retirement just three months into a new mandate?

Conrad Black: On Justin Trudeau’s 50th birthday, the shadow of his father looms large

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be observing his 50th birthday on Christmas Day and it is normal courtesy to extend good wishes and reflect on the past on such a noteworthy anniversary. While he is unlikely to be as important a figure in Canada’s history as his father was, he achieved the country’s highest office at age 43, five years younger than his father was when he first came to power in 1968. Pierre Trudeau automatically became prime minister on winning the federal Liberal leadership, while Justin is the only prime minister in Canadian history to lead his party from the third party in Parliament to government in one election; and he managed to form what is only the second majority government Canada has had in the seven elections since the Progressive Conservatives and Reform parties were reunited in 2004.

Trudeau belongs on Santa’s naughty list, alongside Chinese and Russian leaders: poll

Forty per cent of Canadians expect Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to land on Santa’s “naughty” list this holiday season — and they think he’s more likely to wake up to a lump of coal than Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to a new Ipsos poll.

Ipsos asked Canadians about whether a list of high-profile individuals — from political leaders, to CEOs, to celebrities — belong on Santa’s “nice” list or his “naughty” list.

Trudeau Creates 3rd World-Dominated Immigration Committee

A recently established standing committee oversees matters relating to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).

The committee is made up of elected Members of Parliament from each recognized political party. In Canada, a party is only recognized if there are 12 or more members in the House of Commons.

The 12-person committee is 25% Anglophone. Statistics Canada’s most recent study(2016) tell us that 68% of our population is comprised of Anglophones.

The irony arrives in no-uncertain terms. In any situation where “racialized” Canadians are under-represented, multicultural advocates scream for equal representation. In all cases of over-representation, “equality advocates” are silent as the lambs.

Trudeau government spending spree comes with huge costs

The Trudeau government’s recent throne speech, which presents the government’s main priorities, didn’t mention the words “deficit” or “debt” once but included more than 30 references to different government programs including national daycare and a mandated energy transition. This government continues to present its historical level of spending, largely financed by borrowing, as costless to Canadians, which is dishonest.

Trudeau tells heritage minister to burn more taxpayer money on failing CBC

In his mandate letter to newly-appointed Minister of Canadian Heritage Pablo Rodriguez, Trudeau tasked the cabinet member with providing “additional funding” to the public broadcaster which is already subsidized by Canadians to the tune of $1.2 billion.

Specifically, Trudeau directed Rodriguez to provide “additional funding to make (CBC) less reliant on private advertising, with a goal of eliminating advertising during news and other public affairs shows.”

New Muslim-Liberal Party Caucus Speaks To The Future Of Canadian Society

According to a 2015 Supreme Court of Canada decision, political institutions from across the country must remain neutral with respect to religion.

“Federal and provincial governments are under an equal duty to maintain neutrality with respect to religion,” said Carissima Mathen, a law professor and constitutional expert at the University of Ottawa.

Fascinating it is to discover how this flies in the face of a recent development endorsed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
