Biden’s proposed ban on menthol cigarettes would HURT black communities because it would lead to more policing and prison sentences, ACLU and civil rights groups warn

The American Civil Liberties Union and a number of other civil rights group warned that President Joe Biden’s move to ban menthol cigarettes could actually harm communities of color.

‘A menthol cigarette ban would disproportionately impact communities of color, result in criminalization of the market, and exacerbate mass incarceration,’ a letter sent this week to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra warned.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Canada’s 2021 Olympic outfits have one message — we’re a joke

In 2021, does Canada deserve better than uniforms that look like they were vandalized by angry teens with Sharpies? Not really

Gender neutrality? This is woke corporate propaganda. Marketing married to a politically correct agenda. Does HBC support men competing against women now?

Big Corporations Now Deploying Woke Ideology the Way Intelligence Agencies Do: As a Disguise

By draping itself in the finery of political activism, the corporatist class consolidates political power, corrupts democracy and distracts from its real functions.

The British spy agency GCHQ is so aggressive, extreme and unconstrained by law or ethics that the NSA — not exactly world renowned for its restraint — often farms out spying activities too scandalous or illegal for the NSA to their eager British counterparts. There is, as the Snowden reporting demonstrated, virtually nothing too deceitful or invasive for the GCHQ. They spy on entire populations, deliberately disseminate fake newsexploit psychological research to control behavior and manipulate public perception, and destroy the reputations, including through the use of sex traps, of anyone deemed adversarial to the British government.

The Georgia House strikes back at Delta

Just as Georgia was a flashpoint after the election because of the run-off election for the Senate, Georgia is again a flashpoint now that the Democrats, led by Creepy Joe, are demonizing the sensible steps the Georgia Legislature enacted to prevent election fraud. What’s amusing about the Democrats’ histrionics is watching as corporations that have earned brownie points for years by being woke, are getting slapped around by the left for not being woke enough. Even funnier is that, when Delta Airlines responded by “woking up,” the Georgia House stepped in to slap it around some more.

Jonathan Kay: Imported U.S. culture war about as Canadian as the Dallas Cowboys

You’ve probably never heard of The Sketchersons, a Toronto-based comedy sketch troupe that’s been around since 2004. But obscure though the topic may seem, please indulge me as I step you through the group’s recent meltdown, for it offers an unusually fine case study in the social panic afflicting Canada’s creative class.

Famed Getty Museum blasted for ‘virtue-signaling’ diversity effort

That statue looks pretty racist.

A prominent collector and supporter of the Getty Museum in LA is blasting the famed art institute for its new anti-discrimination playbook, which showers itself with blame for being racist and vows its staff will “reflect the diversity of Southern California and the nation” in the future.

But the 13-page “Diversity and Inclusion” plan is nothing more than insincere “white self flagellation” and will ultimately undermine the high standards at Getty and other top museums, said entrepreneur Jay Snider, who volunteers on the Getty’s Research Institute Council.

BC “Am I racist?” ads cost approximately $70K: Office of the Human Rights Commissioner

An ongoing anti-racist campaign launched late last year has cost taxpayers approximately $70,000 so far, according to the office of BC’s Human Rights Commissioner (BCOHRC) Kasari Govender.

“We have a legislative mandate to provide education to the province of B.C. on anti-racism and anti-discrimination. It is one of our core functions,” the Office’s Acting Director of Communications Elaine O’Connor told True North.

Sports Writer Pins Down Media for Virtue Signaling Over Woman Appearing in College Football Game

In a publicity stunt that gave virtue-signaling media a thrill up their legs Saturday, Vanderbilt University soccer star Sarah Fuller appeared for one play in a Southeastern Conference football game. Outkick commentator Jason Whitlock threw a big flag on left-stream media for equating this as a symbolic event on a level with Jackie Robinson breaking the race barrier in Major League Baseball in 1947.
