Ottawa police, who have been described as the equivalent of the Keystone Cops, have reportedly banned signs that criticize far-left, vindictive Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who previously had authorizedthe crackdown on the peaceful protesters with the temporary invocation of the Emergencies Act.

It’s one thing to strongly disagree with a person for donating to a protest movement. It’s another thing to try to destroy their life.
The past couple of weeks we have seen a disturbing and frenzied response to the release of names of people who donated to the trucker convoy that recently entrenched itself in Ottawa.
Both during the time the Freedom Convoy was parked around downtown Ottawa and after police raided the protest zone, polling companies have been pushing out hastily made polls about the event. The polls the companies put out are supposedly gauging what Canadians thought about the Freedom Convoy, but these polls seem oddly disconnected from reality.
A major part of Justin Trudeau’s appeal to progressive voters in Canada is his international reputation as a liberal golden boy.
But Trudeau’s use of war-time measures to crack down a peaceful working class protest has shattered that image. It made him look weak, hypocritical, petty and mean.
“When it comes to Black Lives Matter protests, if you’re not Black, remember that you’re there to show your support and amplify Black voices,” the article read.
“ESPECIALLY if you’re White, if they’re offering the megaphone for anyone to speak, it’s not for you,” the middle school publication continued. “You are here to listen and to show support.”
The list of tips went on to tell students how to dress, what not to record, and how to talk to police if they were taken into custody.
The bank accounts of some Freedom Convoy supporters are still frozen. The freezing of these accounts was announced the same day Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act and, even though the Emergencies Act is now lifted, some accounts remain frozen.
Canada’s Trudeau administration said it will punish the truckers who participated in the anti-vaccine mandate Freedom Convoy by freezing their bank accounts. Although the United States government isn’t yet sanctioning this practice here, bank deplatforming against those who oppose leftists is becoming more and more frequent, nonetheless.
The bitter and unbalanced assaults on the truckers by the Canadian government and its “intelligentsia” are slammed by writer Elizabeth Nickson in her Substack article, “The Reason for the Police Violence is not What You Think.” She describes the contempt these elites have toward those they regard as their underlings. She looks at the self-serving machinations of the ruling class and to what ends they will go in order to protect their gravy train: “The brutality in Ottawa is not a warning. It is a promise, a statement of the future. The working class will end their lives in moldering houses they can’t afford to fix, with minimal health care.”
A trucker convoy is slated to arrive in D.C. ahead of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address on March 1st.
The New York Times reported last weekend that police in Ottawa had arrested protesters at gunpoint, a claim that was quickly challenged and denounced by prominent Canadian journalists.
“This is wrong,” tweeted freelance reporter Justin Ling, who had been covering the police action from Ottawa. CBC News TV host Ginella Massa called the Times headline “false and incredibly dangerous rhetoric” and CBC radio host Piya Chattopadhyay asked “where are you getting this bs from?”.
The New York Times Editorial Board has taken a stance in support of Canadian truckers’ right to protest, saying that peaceful demonstrations are a vital part of democracy.
The police tried to get into the Iconic Cafe, a small business that commited the crime of serving coffee to the truckers, to arrest the owners. They were scared off by a citizen live streamer, for now

This is a clear example of the federal and Ottawa municipal governments being vindictive of anyone even supportive of the truckers.
Businesses that remained open like the Iconic Cafe made the government and legacy media look unhinged by proving the truckers and convoy supporters were peaceful and good for small businesses in Ottawa.
The truckers were not only not a nuisance to the Iconic Cafe, but according to the owners, the wives of truckers were even helping clean their bathrooms and mopping floors to provide services to them for remaining open for the convoy.
