Almost immediately after doing so, he suspended most if not all rights the citizens of Canada enjoy by invoking “Martial Law.”

Multiple USA governors demand Trudeau drop mandates for cross-border truckers

A group of Canadian premiers and U.S. governors has urged U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to abandon a vaccine mandate for truckers traveling across borders. On Wednesday, a coalition of 16 governors and two premiers sent a letter to Canadian and U.S. governments requesting that truckers crossing between the two countries be granted vaccine and quarantine exemptions. The mandate, according to the letter, is putting additional strain on already stressed supply chains.

Justice Minister David Lametti made the remark in an interview with CTV News Channel on Wednesday night, where host Evan Solomon pressed him on whether average citizens who donated to the protests should be worried about account seizures.

‘If you are a member of a pro-Trump movement who is donating hundreds of thousands of dollars, and millions of dollars to this kind of thing, then you ought to be worried,’ said Lametti.

Chris Barber is being held in custody and is expected to face criminal charges, CBC reported.

Barber, a truck driver who led the Saskatchewan portion of the protest convoy that has been in Ottawa for the last three weeks, was walking down the street with several friends when police detained him.
