Dundas, Ryerson and Macdonald schools to be renamed in Toronto: TDSB

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) will change the names of three public schools commemorating Henry Dundas, Egerton Ryerson and Sir John A Macdonald.

In October 2024, the TDSB — the largest public school board in Canada — embarked upon a proactive review of the names of all schools under its purview.

Ford could put a stop to this nonsense but with an election scheduled he won’t make a move that might offend the teacher’s unions.

And he won’t make a move after the election either.

Anthony Furey: TDSB fails to read the room by doubling down on DEI

TDSB Scholars

As public opinion throughout North America turns against controversial diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, the largest school board in Canada is poised to double down on this divisive agenda.

Last week, a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) committee voted in support of sending a request to the provincial government to make DEI certification mandatory for teachers.

Personal information of TDSB students going back 4 decades may have been breached in cybersecurity incident

Toronto’s public school board says personal information of its students dating back to 1985 may have been breached during a recent cybersecurity incident that affected many districts across North America.

On Monday, the Toronto District School Board provided an update into last month’s data breach involving PowerSchool, an application used by many boards to store a range of student information.

That can’t be good.

TDSB Trustee Committee Wants Mandatory Certification Of Racist DEI Program for Ontario Educators

A Toronto District School Board (TDSB) committee has voted in favour of asking the province to put in place diversity, equity, and anti-racism certification for all Ontario teachers. The motion will now be referred to trustees at the regular board meeting on Jan. 22 for approval.

The motion was brought forward at a Jan. 16 meeting of the Program and School Services Committee by trustees Deborah Williams and Debbie King on behalf of student trustee Angelika Bell.

Ford should be all over this but he is a coward.

The TDSB has spent tens of millions placing school staff on paid leave. It’s working to change its practices

The Toronto District School Board spent about $35 million in just over three years to place staff on paid leave while they were being investigated for alleged misconduct.

According to a staff report that will be presented at a committee meeting on Thursday, between January 2021 and March 2024 there were 621 staff, including 518 teachers and 44 administrators, put on home assignment for allegations that included code-of-conduct violations, harassment, and child abuse and neglect.

What can you expect from a school board run by perverts?

How TDSB embraced ‘anti-Palestinian racism’ policies — and sparked debate about antisemitism

TDSB – Rotten to the core

The Toronto District School Board controversially embraced “anti-Palestinian racism” policies in 2024, a move that Jewish activists say puts the country’s largest school board on a collision course with its own antisemitism policy — and offers a case study of a broader, divisive discussion unfolding across Canada.

The TDSB has long been a shithole.

LILLEY: Ford government hires babysitter for TDSB

It’s not the full takeover that the Toronto District School Board needs, but the Ford government is hiring a babysitter.

Education Minister Jill Dunlop has appointed Patrick Case, a former bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, to review field trip policies at the TDSB.

A pointless endeavor, the rot is so deep only mass firings will help.

Anti-Israel protesters hijacked Indigenous suffering to promote hate

Hundreds of students from 15 schools within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) attended a field trip on Sept. 18. The goal of the trip was to raise students’ awareness about the Indigenous community’s “efforts to address mercury contamination and advocate for their rights regarding mining and logging activities within their territory.” Parents were assured that their children would not participate in the “rally” but would “observe and learn from the presentations and discussions.”

Nothing new here. The Unholy alliance between the Liberal/Left and the Islamists is well established and so called allyship is really about infiltration and running cover for sinister agendas.

The TDSB and OISE have long been co-opted by perverse ideology.

SNOBELEN: Scrapping sanctimonious Toronto school board long overdue

Those brave souls who follow the entangled mess that is the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) have had yet another interesting week.

It’s Groundhog Day as a new minister of education (Jill Dunlop) meets the bizarre, bureaucratic fortress that runs the largest school district in Canada. As Yogi Berra said, “It’s déjà vu all over again.”

The TDSB field trip fight shows how far we’ve come from putting children first

It’ll take a lot more than altering the 11 — or 15 or 150 — policy elements that Toronto District School Board staff have red-circled to divert teachers from manipulating their impressionable young students as political and ideological pawns.

No, that would require digging deep into a belief system that has absorbed every cockamamie strategy and intent spawned by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, evangelized too many conscience-elevated educator-cum-social-warriors and compelling the largest school board in Canada to hold its employees accountable, with disciplinary consequences, for deplorable misjudgment and freewheeling social engineering.

The TDSB called the cops on me for exposing the deep rot at its core. It’s good to be a blogger.

Ontario Education Minister Orders Investigation Into Schools’ Field Trip to Anti-Israel Protest Rally

Ontario’s Ministry of Education has launched an investigation into a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) field trip that saw children participate in a march and chant pro-Palestinian slogans.

The school board said the Sept. 18 field trip, which involved a number of TDSB schools, was meant to be an “educational experience,” during which students would hear from the indigenous people of Grassy Narrows about how their community was impacted by mercury poisoning.

I doubt anything substantive will come of this. Ford is cozy with the teacher’s unions and likely craving labour peace before an Ontario election.

‘It’s disgusting’: Ford calls for investigation into Toronto school field trip that ended at ‘Palestinian rally’

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) should investigate how some students on a recent school field trip ended up at a rally(opens in a new tab) where pro-Palestinian slogans were shouted.

“It’s disgraceful… [The students] should be in the classroom learning about reading, writing, spelling, arithmetic, the whole shebang, but instead, the TDSB and these teachers want to bring them down to a rally, a Palestinian rally, and it’s ridiculous,” Ford said at an unrelated news conference on Monday.

Time for Doug Ford to install adult supervision at TDSB

The largest school board in the country shouldn’t be a training ground for radical political causes, but that’s what the Toronto District School Board has become. That’s why the Ford Government needs to place the school board under supervision.

This is long past due. The TDSB is racist, antisemitic and promotes perversion 24/7.

But it can’t stop there the teacher’s colleges are the breeding ground for the lunatics who run the asylum.

Terry Newman: The TDSB should know that field trips are not for indoctrination

On Wednesday, secondary students from the Toronto District School Board were taken on a field trip to the Grassy Narrows River Run, near Kenora, Ont. The event was communicated to parents as an educational opportunity for the students to learn about the issue of mercury contamination affecting the First Nation. The permission slip sent home stated that, “while at the event, students will not be participating in the rally itself; instead, they will observe and learn from the presentations and discussions.”

Parents demand answers for TDSB field trip to protest that turned into anti-Israel rally

The Toronto District School Board is reviewing their field trip policy after parents were outraged over middle school students participating in a “field trip” at a downtown Toronto political protest that turned into an anti-Israel demonstration.

The TDSB is an extreme left indoctrination centre, any government in their right mind would put it under administration and purge the toxic staff.
