The Atlantic has a well-documented history of publishing fake hit pieces about President Donald Trump and his administration, and one wonders how many more hoaxes they can run before they get in real trouble.
Its latest effort targeting FBI Director Kash Patel may be its most reckless yet — and this time, the bureau is fighting back with lawyers.
After seven long years, key documents surrounding the Ukraine impeachment saga have finally been released by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, following Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s declassification. They include previously unreleased interview transcripts with the Inspector General as well as related materials. They tell a story many of us suspected at the time, but which now appears even more disturbing and more elaborate than originally understood.
The newly released documents show a coordinated effort to frame President Trump over a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. A manufactured narrative was elevated and then used by Congress in an attempt to overturn the outcome of an election and, effectively, shape the next one by pursuing impeachment over a routine diplomatic exchange.

In a dim corner of the University of Toronto’s Newman Chapel, there is a stained-glass image of Archbishop Óscar Romero of El Salvador. Proclaimed a saint in 2015, Romero is depicted holding a child while a military helicopter rains fire in the background.
After speaking out against the political murders, torture and massacres perpetrated by the Salvadorean military, Romero addressed members of the armed forces on March 23, 1980.
The author is a “professor of religion and environment at the University of Toronto Mississauga.”

In hindsight, it was inevitable: To maintain shock-value, these accusations always escalate. So, after a full decade of being “literally Hitler,” there was nowhere to go but… down.

Allen’s book removes those constraints and delivers the complete, unvarnished picture.
Fresh off of cheering on Iran for how they “humiliated” President Trump by trying to kill American airmen, MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell kicked off Tuesday night’s show by suggesting Adolf Hitler wasn’t as bad a leader as Trump. He went even further and suggested that America committed suicide as a civilization when voters elected Trump a second time.
A 31-year-old black woman is being charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly shooting her former co-worker in the back, killing her 61-year-old victim. The criminal complaint by the Madison, WI police notes that the two women had frequently clashed at work over the victim’s support for President Trump, and that the perp had routinely labelled her a racist because of it.
For the most part, I avoid conversations about Donald Trump…because none of them are worth having. In all honesty and I’ve said this time and time again, I can’t stand to listen to the man speak.
While there is some amusement in watching liberal heads exploding when he talks…I don’t need to actually listen to him to get the full effect…and this isn’t solving any of our problems.

The cultural elite’s dream of an American defeat in Iran scares me far more than Trump’s premature claims of victory.
Snark really is all that President Trump’s critics have left. They greet his every utterance, whether made in the flesh or on Truth Social, with instant sarcastic derision. Their cliquish cynicism was on full display during Trump’s address to the nation on the Iran War last night. No sooner had Trump said the US was nearing victory than his opposing army of nay-sayers was gleefully crowing: ‘Nah, it’s a disaster, we’re screwed.’
There was a time not so long ago when the Democrats were formidable and — I’m not kidding here — occasionally enjoyable political foes. During the Tea Party years, we would often encounter Dem activists and hang out with them for a while. Sometimes we would even socialize. The Democrats of recent yesteryear bore no resemblance to the feral, frothing rage mob that the No Kings/Resist Dems are today.
The American political left as a cultural formation, and the Democratic Party as an institution, have sunk into a style of oppositionalism that contains no opposition. They speak in a vernacular of protest because they speak in a vernacular of protest, out of habit and as a cultural identity, but they have no idea what they’re protesting. They’re very angry about the, you know, stuff. Something something Trump something something.

A Department of Justice spokesperson said on Wednesday that the settlement had redressed a “historic injustice”.
“Those who instigated the Russia Collusion Hoax and Crossfire Hurricane abused their power to mislead the American people and tarnish the reputations of President Trump and his supporters,” the DOJ spokesperson said, referring to the FBI’s investigation inquiry into Russia’s attempts to meddle in the 2016 election.
