The wife of an impeachment witness against former president Trump has been slammed for mocking the latest assassination attempt on the Republican nominee.
Rachel Vindman, wife of retired Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, posted on X saying: ‘No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.’
Vindman had took aim at the president who was struck in the ear following an assassination attempt in July, two months before the events of Sunday.
Donald Trump was yesterday the target of an assassination attempt while playing golf at his West Palm Beach club in Florida. The attempt comes eight weeks after the former president was shot in the ear in Butler, Pennsylvania.

During this latest attempt, a Secret Service agent who advanced ahead of Trump on the course spotted a rifle barrel sticking out from foliage against a chain-link fence. Agents “immediately engaged” — though it’s unclear what that means — and the suspect, thought to be 58-year-old Ryan Routh, fled before eventually being caught by police on a Florida highway. The distance between the would-be assassin and Trump is estimated at around 300 metres.

The son of Ryan Wesley Routh, the man named as the suspect in a possible assassination attempt near Donald Trump’s Florida golf club on Sunday, has said his father is not a violent person and did not even believe him to own a gun.
Routh’s son, Oran Routh, reached by DailyMail.com shortly after Sunday’s shooting, said this was the first he’d heard of the alleged assassination attempt.
‘This was the first I heard about it,’ the 35-year-old exclusively told DailyMail.com. ‘Was my father shot or injured?’
He said his father hates Trump as ‘every reasonable person does.

There are fears would-be Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh had help from the inside to target the former president at his Florida golf club Sunday.
The alleged gunman has been identified as registered Democrat Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, who was found unarmed after fleeing the scene, leaving behind a backpack, GoPro camera and AK-47 style rifle. He is now in custody.
Trump’s game was not publicly known about as it was a last-minute decision and his schedule is not provided to the press, sparking curiosity as to how Routh knew Trump would be on the greens.

The suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.
Routh was allegedly armed with an assault rifle outside Trump International Golf Club while Trump was playing the fifth hole on Sunday afternoon.
He was able to push the muzzle of his gun through the chainlink fence outside the golf club, authorities said.
