$160K apocalypse Super Trucks, $2M doomsday bunkers and a $3B emergency food industry … Prepping the Preppers

When venture capitalist John Ramey popped open his trunk in front of a fellow Silicon Valley executive, he revealed an embarrassing secret: he was a bonafide ‘prepper’.

It was 2010 and nearly a decade before Collins dictionary would declare ‘permacrisis,’ defined as ‘an extended period of instability and insecurity, especially one resulting from a series of catastrophic events,’ as the ‘word of the year.’

Inside Ramey’s car was his ‘Get Home Bag,’ packed with a first aid kit, radio, map, compass, and calorie-dense food rations.

It’s like porn;)

J6 Pipe Bomber Story Goes Boom

The FBI conducted a halfhearted inquiry, at best. Now we know why.

It remains the greatest unsolved mystery related to the events of January 6: Who placed pipe bombs near the headquarters of both the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee the night before?

Shortly before the joint session of Congress convened at 1 p.m. to debate the results of the 2020 Electoral College vote, a woman on her way to do some laundry looked down and spotted a device in an alley adjacent to the RNC building. Karlin Younger ran to notify security guards, who then called police. Law enforcement conducted a search of the area and located another device outside the DNC building.

A sense of betrayal’: liberal dismay as Muslim-led US city bans Pride flags

Many liberals celebrated when Hamtramck, Michigan, elected a Muslim-majority council in 2015 but a vote to exclude LGBTQ+ flags from city property has soured relations

In 2015, many liberal residents in Hamtramck, Michigan, celebrated as their city attracted international attention for becoming the first in the United States to elect a Muslim-majority city council.

They viewed the power shift and diversity as a symbolic-but-meaningful rebuke of the Islamophobic rhetoric that was a central theme of then Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.

I’m enjoying this way too much.

A little good news.

Michigan city with all-Muslim council bans Pride flags on public property

A Michigan city with an all-Muslim government has banned LGBTQ+ flags from public areas after a bizarre hours-long meeting that saw displays of passion from both sides.

The Hamtramck City Council meeting took a turn when a woman wearing a clown nose made a speech mocking the council and its majority-Muslim population before kissing a woman standing next to her Tuesday night.

‘Sure, many Hamtramck residents have fled countries where being gay is a death sentence, but nothing says we have to make it ‘comforting’ and ‘welcoming’ here,’ the woman said on Tuesday night.

Wanna bet they all voted for open borders and diversity.

Chinese spies breached hundreds of public, private networks, security firm says

Suspected state-backed Chinese hackers used a security hole in a popular email security appliance to break into the networks of hundreds of public and private sector organizations globally, nearly a third of them government agencies including foreign ministries, the cybersecurity firm Mandiant said Thursday.

“This is the broadest cyber espionage campaign known to be conducted by a China-nexus threat actor since the mass exploitation of Microsoft Exchange in early 2021,” Charles Carmakal, Mandiant’s chief technical officer, said in a emailed statement. That hack compromised tens of thousands of computers globally.

After the surge, ready for the shantytowns?

Making a comeback – Depression Era Shantytown NYC

… And now suddenly, we’re seeing where — in the emergence of shantytowns now beginning to ring America’s major cities such as Houston, making them resemble Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Mexico City, Caracas, Medellín, Lima, Quito, San Pedro Sula, and other places — all of which have nice ritzy centers, housing for the rich and upper-middle classes, and endless rings of shantytowns in the hillsides and valleys outside these big cities, where the desperately poor live in tin-roof hovels, some precariously positioned on cliffs, with no flush toilets, no running water, no paved roads, no electricity, or only pilfered electricity from power lines to power the television sets and sometimes refrigerators inside. When I first saw the shack cities (known as ranchos rather than colonias in Venezuela), I needed to lie down, almost feeling as if I would faint. They were so huge and overwhelming…and awful. I felt the same way when I saw the shack cities ringing Tijuana, utterly horrified that such human misery could be so close to the prosperity of the United States. And Manila, Jakarta, Shenzhen — the same sensation.

Losing the Pax Americana

The U.S. engagement of the PRC was America’s greatest strategic failure.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) has risen and now stands as a serious enemy to the United States. Beijing undermines U.S. interests at home—including the health, wellbeing, and prosperity of the American people—and abroad, as its alliances and the world it created are under the greatest strain due to the PRC’s competing interests and ever-expanding ability to advance them.

The U.S. Is Paying Billions to Russia’s Nuclear Agency. Here’s Why.

In a cavernous, Pentagon-sized facility nestled in an Appalachian valley, thousands upon thousands of empty holes line the bare concrete floor.

A mere 16 of them house the spindly, 30-foot-tall centrifuges that enrich uranium, converting it into the key ingredient that fuels nuclear power plants. And for now, they are dormant.

A 3rd World level of brazen corruption…

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal

… The New York Times’s examination of the Uranium One deal is based on dozens of interviews, as well as a review of public records and securities filings in Canada, Russia and the United States. Some of the connections between Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation were unearthed by Peter Schweizer, a former fellow at the right-leaning Hoover Institution and author of the forthcoming book “Clinton Cash.” Mr. Schweizer provided a preview of material in the book to The Times, which scrutinized his information and built upon it with its own reporting.
