Did Pride protect a predator?

Whistleblowers were ignored for years

Stephen Ireland, the charismatic founder of Pride in Surrey (PiS), used to be regarded as something of a local hero. He was a trusted member of the community with a regular slot on local radio. And he was often seen being driven around by the police in their rainbow-emblazoned police car.

But then, in June, the mask slipped. He was sentenced for six counts of making indecent images of children, three counts of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and the rape of a 12-year-old boy referred to in court as Child A.

Oxford Street shoppers told: ‘Mind the grab’ and guard your phone

Purple lines along pavement remind pedestrians to keep devices hidden on London shopping route

Britain’s biggest electrical retailer has warned people not to use mobile phones near the edge of pavements after a surge of thefts in the capital.

Purple lines have been painted along Oxford Street to remind pedestrians to step back from the kerb and keep their mobiles hidden.

I like the meme response.

Halifax mall murder plotter who ‘carried the swastika with pride’ denied parole

An American serving a life sentence in Canada for plotting a Valentine’s Day massacre at a Halifax mall with the help of two Nova Scotians she met online has been denied full parole.

Lindsay Kanitha Souvannarath, of Geneva, Ill., was arrested at Halifax Stanfield International Airport on Feb. 13, 2015, before they could carry out their plan the next day, which “included wearing ‘death outfits’” to Halifax Shopping Centre, “throwing Molotov cocktails, and then opening fire in the food court,” said her recent parole decision, released Tuesday.

Report on “religious extremism” focuses on Catholicism, ignores Islam

Mass Murderers Publish “Catholic Extremism” Report

A recent document by a European think tank decries the “accelerating financial expansion of movements working to dismantle decades of hard-won sexual and reproductive rights across Europe.” The report, published by the Brussels-based European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual & Reproductive Rights (EPF), highlights the “anti-rights and religious extremist actors in Europe,” but focuses mostly on just one religion: Christianity. Through this inherent bias, the organization admits the one institution that its members and their allies fear—the Catholic Church—as the organizing force behind the “religious ideologues [who] are executing meticulous, long-term strategies for power.”

EPF’s executive committee consists of one member of the European Parliament, along with members of parliament from several constituent states of the EU, with two additional politicians from outside the Union. All of the committee members come from socially left-wing political parties—from a party of the French “center,” Renaissance (founded by French President Emmanuel Macron) to the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party.

Of course young white men hate the Left—It hates them

Andrea Dworkin – founder, League of Batshit Crazy Feminists

The Toronto Star has once again graced us with its wisdom. In a piece penned by one Craig A. Johnson—presumably not the sort of chap who’d last five minutes in an Alberta oil patch—the Star wrings its hands over the left’s tragic loss of young men to the dastardly right. “The left needs to learn how to talk to young men—or it will keep losing them,” wails the headline, as if these wayward lads are lost puppies rather than thinking adults who’ve had quite enough of being lectured on their “privileges” while scraping by in Trudeau’s inflation-ravaged economy.

Britain’s intelligence services have re-opened a summer internship scheme to which white participants cannot apply.

Started in 2023, the MI5, MI6 and GCHQ Summer Intelligence Internship attracted criticism last year, when it was labelled “racist”.

It was offered only to young people from a “Black, Asian, mixed heritage or ethnic minority background and from a socially or economically disadvantaged background”.
