Today In “How Corrupt Is The LPC?” – Before joining cabinet, public safety minister wrote immigration support letters for terror group ‘member’

Before joining cabinet, public safety minister wrote immigration support letters for terror group ‘member’

Before he was appointed to the federal cabinet two years ago, Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree wrote letters urging Canadian officials to approve the immigration application of a man they had determined was a member of a terrorist organization.

The letters, dated 2023 and 2016, were written on Anandasangaree’s House of Commons letterhead and sent to the Canada Border Services Agency on behalf of an alleged member of Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tigers who wanted to move to Toronto.

Identity politics attracts the world’s parasites.

Don Cherry ‘Disappointed’ By Ron MacLean’s Remarks on Health, Hockey Night in Canada Departure

Don Cherry says his 2019 exit from Hockey Night in Canada was not a planned “exit strategy” due to ill health, despite recent comments made by former long-time co-anchor Ron MacLean.

The now 91-year-old former co-host of Coach’s Corner said he was caught off guard by MacLean’s recent comments to the Kingston Whig Standard, which suggested that Cherry made a politically incorrect comment because he was battling pneumonia and no longer had the energy to do the show.

UK Islamic summer camp ‘risks radicalising children’

Shia summer camp – the very definition of outdoors fun!

A summer camp sponsored by an Islamic charity accused of backing Iran could expose children to extremist views, it has been claimed.

The camp, run by the Ahlulbayt Islamic Mission (AIM) charity, is aimed at children aged nine to 14, with activities including climbing and abseiling along with “lectures and discussions”.

AIM describes Camp Wilayah, which is set to take place in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, next month, as an “amazing place to enjoy the outdoors, make new friends, learn and build on Islamic values”.

Canadian universities too should be in Francesca Albanese’s report … They’re Islamophobic & anti-Semitic simultaneously!

Anti-Genocide Graduation Ceremony U of T

Canadian university administrators should remember that they too can be held accountable for genocide complicity.

“Universities worldwide, under the guise of research neutrality, continue to profit from an [Israeli] economy now operating in genocidal mode. Indeed, they are structurally dependent on settler-colonial collaborations and funding.”

This is what United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese wrote in her latest report “From economy of occupation to economy of genocide”, which documents the financial tentacles of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and beyond. Its release prompted the United States’ governing regime to issue sanctions against Albanese in a move the Italian legal scholar rightly described as “obscene” and “mafia intimidation tactics”.

MBE for man who led Muslim police boycott after grooming scandal

A man who led a Muslim community boycott of South Yorkshire police after the Rotherham grooming scandal has been awarded an MBE for “services to integration” and “cohesion”.

Muhbeen Hussain called on Muslims to sever ties with the force and “take all the necessary action to protect ourselves” in October 2015, the year after the force’s failure to investigate thousands of allegations of abuse and rape had been exposed.

His campaign group warned: “Any Muslim groups or institutions in Rotherham that do not adhere to this policy of disengagement will also be boycotted by the Muslim community.”

Now that’s suicidal.

Inside the Congolese mine vital to mobile phones

M23 rebels in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo recently allowed the BBC to visit a huge mining site under their control which is vital to the production of the world’s mobile phones – and over its vast expanse not one person was idle.

Thousands of miners dotted the landscape covered with pits and tunnels.

Some were deep underground digging up ore with shovels, others then hoisted sacks of the extracted rock containing coltan, which is used to make many electronic devices, on to their shoulders. They then took it to assembly points where others washed and filtered it with spades and by hand.
