Girl charged with murder in Toronto swarming case is rearrested over Wilson Station assault

One of eight girls alleged to have been involved in the swarming and killing of a Toronto homeless man has been rearrested and charged with assaulting a man at Wilson Station during Thursday’s evening commute, the Star has learned.

Police say they were called to the station near Allen Road and Hwy 401 just before 5:30 p.m. after a 52-year-old man, who was not identified, was involved in an alleged altercation with a 14-year-old girl and “her male companion.”

“During the altercation, the victim was physically assaulted and was stabbed,” a police press release sent Friday said. The victim was taken to hospital where police said his injuries were found to be non-life threatening.

London, Ont., police officers participating in a competition in Dubai alongside a Chechen group accused of committing atrocities in the conflict with Ukraine “damages the image of Canada,” says a University of Toronto professor with expertise in international relations and political science.

“When you are doing anything internationally, you have to also be aware of the image of the country, it’s not just a local matter. And so there’s an extra duty,” said Aurel Braun, who’s also an associate with the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University.

Unveiled on X, the recruitment drive specifically targeted those who identify as female – saying ‘We’re looking for high school students in grade 11 who identify as women.’

California woman, 90, FIRED from her volunteer role of 60 years at nonprofit because she ‘did not understand pronouns’

A 90-year-old California woman was fired from her volunteering position at the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society because she ‘did not understand pronouns,’ despite previously winning multiple awards from the nonprofit group.

Fran Itkoff had been volunteering for the MS Society, a nonprofit support group for multiple sclerosis patients, for 60 years before she was removed.

Although her dedication to the MS Society had been recognized over the years, the group recently forced her to step down after she asked what pronouns meant.
