Toronto police headquarters. The police hate-crime unit will be on the ground “gathering evidence,” she said.

Baker ordered to pay £20,000 to worker who urinated in mixing bowls

A Barcelona bakery was ordered to pay more than £20,000 to a worker who was fired after being caught urinating in mixing bowls.

Catalonia’s High Court ruled that Neucroissant had acted unlawfully when it dismissed the woman after citing evidence gathered by a surveillance camera in a changing area used by staff.

Footage captured by the CCTV had shown the woman, who has not been named, crouching down and urinating on several occasions into various containers used to produce the bakery’s goods.

Ottawa exempting rural home heating oil from carbon tax for 3 years, Trudeau says

The government is creating a rural carve-out for the carbon tax on home heating, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday.

The government will exempt home heating oil from the tax for three years, double the rural supplement in the rebate program and offer new programs Trudeau said will help rural Canadians switch to electric heat pumps.

“We have to fight climate change in a way that supports all Canadians,” Trudeau told a press conference.

We are lead by a high school student and not a very bright one at that.

‘Sponge bombs’ are Israel’s new secret weapon to block Hamas tunnels

Israel will use novel “sponge bombs” as it fights through the network of Hamas tunnels under Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has been testing the chemical bombs, which contain no explosives but are used to seal off gaps or tunnel entrances from which fighters may emerge.

The IDF has not commented on the use of the so-called “sponge bombs”, which create a sudden explosion of foam that rapidly expands and then hardens.
