WashPost Editorial Board SEETHES Over Youngkin Involving Parents in Lives of Children

Because they just can’t get enough of bashing Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) and his administration that’s promoted the novel concept of involving parents in education, The Washington Post returned to the well Thursday with its editorial board pitching a hissy fit in “Youngkin takes vital resources away from LGBTQ+ youth — again.”

Worms resurrected after 46,000 years

When the worm went to sleep in the Siberian soil, the pyramids had not been built, nor the hanging gardens of Babylon sown, and our ancestors shared the planet with Neanderthals.

When the worm awoke, 46,000 years later, it found itself in a world where it would be transported in aircraft and have its genetic code stored on a computer, and where not only had the Neanderthals gone extinct, but so too, it appeared, had the worm’s own species.

Climate cult’s crazed attack on white men

ADDRESSING a rally last weekend to protest against plans for a camp for 1,000-plus male Channel-crossing migrants to be sited in Bexhill-on-Sea,  I noticed a subtle but significant change in the placards of the usual small gathering of counter-protesters. Instead of ‘refugees welcome here’, the new slogan of the self-declared anti-racists was ‘climate refugees welcome’ (my italics). The purported climate crisis and progressive ideology of identity politics have come together in this latest onslaught on traditional society.

Ontario mother, daughter briefly locked in Tesla when battery fails

An Ontario mother said she and her nine-year-old daughter got locked into their Tesla when the battery failed earlier this month.

“My husband wasn’t able to open the door from the outside, the screen completely shut down and I wasn’t able to open the door from the inside, the windows or anything,” Raeshu Singh of Burlington, Ont. said.

… Singh said she eventually remembered the way to manually unlatch the doors if the battery dies, which is by pulling up on a manual emergency latch that is located beneath the window controls.

I bet she’s real proud of saving the planet though.

Birth of a Woke Myth

A new study on mass shootings is a prime example of public health’s growing penchant for policy-based evidence-making.

Is there any limit to the degree to which “researchers” will discredit themselves to prove their woke bona fides? A new study published in JAMA Surgery suggests not.

The study, “Association Between Markers of Structural Racism and Mass Shooting Events in Major US Cities,” purportedly seeks to understand whether evidence exists that “structural racism” plays a role in mass-shooting events.

To test their theory, the researchers quantitatively examine the correlation between mass shootings and “structural racism.” They define mass shootings as any incident in which four or more people are shot, and they define “structural racism” according to various factors, including the percentage of black population in a major metropolitan area, the proportion of children living in a single-parent household, the violent crime rate, and measures of segregation and income inequality.

Duke & Duchess Of Grifter want advertisments to break gender stereotypes

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have backed a report calling for adverts to “break the gender binary” by showing women mowing the lawn and men doing the cooking.

The couple have given their support to the US charity Equimundo, which is working to reduce the care giving equality gap through their biennial State of the World’s Fathers reports.

Boy that’ll sure change minds.
