Looking for Mr Far Right: the dating site for French ‘patriots’

In France you can now swipe far right.

A new dating site launched this month is aimed at nationalists, “patriots” and those who yearn for a return to traditional gender roles. It specifically welcomes French people whose views veer to the extreme right, who, polling suggests, may need help finding a mate.

According to a recent survey by the polling organisation Ifop, 58 per cent of French people would refuse to sleep with a far-right sympathiser and 65 per cent would rule out becoming their partner.

Local Wisconsin Supervisor Calls For Police Investigation After Child Participates In Madison’s Adult Naked Bike Ride

After a naked child was apparently allowed to participate alongside nude adults in a so-called “body positivity” bike ride around Madison’s Capitol Square on Saturday, a member of the Dane County Board of Supervisors is calling for a police investigation.

About 150 adult bicyclists, most of whom were reportedly totally naked except for shoes and helmets, paraded around downtown Madison last weekend. Their route included State Street, a popular pedestrian road that connects to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. But it also included a couple of loops around Capitol Square, where every Saturday during the summer, locals, including families and young children, gather for the busy farmer’s market.

US says Wagner coup is ‘real’ and ‘serious’ as White House consults allies

Joe Biden has been briefed on the chaotic situation in Russia with US officials describing it as “serious”.

The president was being kept informed as Wagner mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was accused by Moscow of launching an armed rebellion.

A White House National Security Council spokesman said: “We are monitoring the situation and will be consulting with allies and partners on these developments.”

We’re coming to get you! Wagner forces head to Moscow

Russia’s Wagner militia forces are headed towards Moscow on Saturday after chief Yevgney Prigozhin initiated a military coup against Putin and his regime, which has seen the group take key cities and mock the President, who called them ‘traitors’.

Putin addressed the Russian people on Saturday, warning that the military leader had ‘stabbed him in the back’, as Moscow is on lockdown as troops dig in in preparation to defend the city.

Russia-Ukraine war ‘will be settled at the negotiation table’ eventually, but decades of support ahead: Joly

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly says the war in Ukraine will eventually end through diplomacy, but that Canada’s support of the country will continue in the long term, to help prevent future conflict.

As the war approaches the 18-month mark, Joly told CTV’s Question Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday that the long-term support of Ukraine by Canada and other NATO allies is critical to deterring Russia, which Joly says will remain “a very dangerous neighbour” even after the war.

Decades of support? I can’t take this woman seriously.

Human rights and 2SLGBTQ+ education should not be optional

The Toronto District School Board’s decision to allow parents to opt their children out of drag storytime — a common part of family-friendly programming during Pride Month and beyond — is a dangerous setback for 2SLGBTQ+ human rights education.

We are queer parents with elementary and secondary-aged children in the TDSB. Like many, we were alarmed by a recent report detailing confusion over board policy and disappointed with their position that schools should “accommodate” parents who want to opt-out of drag storytime delivered by board-approved partners in-class and on-site.

Good Lord.
