Ottawa evacuates embassy staff from Sudan, but thousands of Canadians remain stranded

A small handful of Canadian embassy staff have been evacuated from war-ravaged Khartoum as part of a dramatic airlift of international diplomats by helicopter, airplane and ship, but more than 1,590 Canadians remain trapped in the country as the heavy fighting persists.

“Our diplomats are safe – they have been extracted and are working from outside the country – and we are looking at every possible option to support our locally engaged staff,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a tweet on Sunday.

We’ve seen this before.

Canadians of convenience who acquired passports the last time their beloved “homeland” imploded go right back when things have settled down and now demand rescue from their once again incendiary 3rd world shithole. They took on the risk of their own volition, we should not be held responsible for their decisions.

Chinese scientists publish error-strewn Covid paper in top scientific journal

Ever since the world was forced into lockdown in March 2020, the question of where and how Covid-19 appeared has captivated scientists and the wider public.

Tracing the source of the virus could be invaluable in preventing future pandemics, yet the quest to find Covid’s origins has been deeply politicized, which in turn has altered the course of research, collaboration and dialogue. Sadly, as a recent publication by Chinese scientists in Nature shows, we are still a long way from getting to the bottom of what happened in Wuhan in 2020.

Pennsylvania Teachers, Activists Concocted Bogus LGBTQ Bullying Epidemic for Political Gain, Investigation Finds

The protests outside Lenape Middle School carried on for four straight days last May.

Young students, some drawn by the lure of free pizza, walked out of their Pennsylvania school to wave rainbow flags and chant, “Hey hey, ho ho, transphobia has got to go” into a bullhorn.

The protesters — not just middle schoolers, but also local adult activists and high-school students — held signs that read “Protect Trans Kids.” They called for “justice” for a Lenape teacher who had been suspended, seemingly for filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights on behalf of a bullied transgender student.

Brandon Johnson – Looting Enthusiast

Chicago’s interim police chief is to retire after only month in the job – stepping down after a series of headline-grabbing crimes, on the same day as the ultra-progressive new mayor takes office but insisting that his decision was made months ago.

Eric Carter, the interim superintendent, will retire on May 15 after 30 years on the force.

He took over when David Brown resigned after the February 28 mayoral election. Brown turns 63 in September, which is the mandatory CPD retirement age.

Traumatised British spy sent to jihadist camp killed his own child

A British spy sent by MI6 to a jihadist camp despite warnings about his extreme vulnerability went on to kill his own child.

The man, then in his twenties, was vetted for his suitability for overseas work by the Secret Intelligence Service. It produced a report that said his emotional instability was the “highest it is possible to score”.

The leaked document said he had more in common with a psychotic person than an average member of the population on some traits and was at risk of severe shock and trauma.
