Is identifying as a dragon ANY different to biological men claiming to be women? Contentious journal article warns of ‘absurd consequences’ of pro-trans argument

If men can identify as women and be taken seriously we must also accept people identifying as dragons or trans-abled, according to a controversial journal article.

So-called trans-abled are people who identify as disabled but are not.

A recent example is 53-year-old Norwegian Jørund Viktoria Alme who was born an able bodied man but now identifies as a women paralysed from the waist down and uses a wheelchair as a result.

Was Alex Jones right about hormone disruptors?

He had a unique explanation for physiological changes in men and women

The age at which a girl first starts her period can reveal a great deal about both her physical health and her social context.

In Western countries, the average age at menarche fell from 16.5 years in 1840 to 13 in the 1990s. Most medical historians believe this to have been the result of improved nutrition and reduced impact of infectious disease in childhood. The richer societies became, the earlier girls began puberty.

But, peculiarly, since the turn of the century that relationship between affluence and age at menarche has gone into reverse. Now it is girls of lower socioeconomic status who get their periods first.

CBC shutting down its China news bureau

They made Justin cry.

CBC News is shutting down its Beijing news bureau after a more-than-40-year presence in China, saying it was forced to take the step after officials have ignored repeated requests for a journalist work visa.

“There is no point keeping an empty bureau when we could easily set up elsewhere in a different country that welcomes journalists and respects journalistic scrutiny,” said CBC News editor-in-chief Brodie Fenlon, announcing the move in a blog posted Wednesday.

Winston Churchill’s use of Huns does not need a warning, say campaigners

The National Archives has been criticised for warning readers about Winston Churchill’s use of the term “Huns” to describe the Germans.

Research by the government’s official archive publisher highlighted the word used by the Second World War leader. It deemed the term Huns “derogatory” and said it “obviously” needs to be seen in historical context.

Education campaigners have described the move as “barmy”, however, and said that adding “trigger warnings” to “common historical terms” was unnecessary.

Joy Behar: ‘Crime Is Not on the Rise‘ Under Biden

Joy Behar told her co-hosts on Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that crime was not “on the rise” in the United States but going down under President Joe Biden.

Co-host Sara Haines said, “Rather than just saying wielding a hammer and attacking someone is wrong on all counts, it’s completely out of bounds. I’m hearing that it’s the crime problem. It’s that we have a crime problem. What’s interesting here is that this man so far has not indicated any criminal past. He does have mental health issues, according to an ex-girlfriend, and also has addiction problems.”
