Justin Trudeau faced intense criticism after he was recorded singing a rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody following a dinner just two days before Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral.

The Prime Minister of Canada stooped and jibed during the tone-deaf jollity – as he belted out the song at an impromptu session in London’s swanky Corinthia Hotel while the country was in its official period of mourning.

Trudeau, 50, was one of the many world leaders who traveled to the United Kingdom to meet the new King Charles III and pay their respects to the Queen at the monumental funeral this morning.

Academic who said ‘witch hunt’ was a racist phrase faces £170,000 court bill

A black British academic who claimed “witch hunt” is a racist term faces paying up to £170,000 to his former employers, The Telegraph can disclose.

Dr Mike Leary-Owhin, 66, was sacked from London South Bank University (LSBU) after being accused of bullying his line manager and “playing the race card”.

Dr Leary-Owhin, a senior lecturer in spatial planning, claimed he was unfairly dismissed and suffered racial discrimination. He alleged that Dr Duncan Tyler, his line manager and former friend, used racist terms against him during the disciplinary process.

The academic said he was accused of being a “witch hunter” who displayed aggressive and bullying behaviour, the tribunal was told. Dr Tyler said Dr Leary-Owhin had been “more concerned with witch hunting than changing his attitude” in staff meetings.

The Halton District School Board is “standing behind” an “accepted” transgender teacher who has gone viral in social media video posts.

In addition, HDSB Chair Margo Shuttleworth tells the Toronto Sun that staff are looking at “going through creating a safety plan” to ensure the Oakville Trafalgar High School teacher’s security as they prepare for potential protests when the school opens for classes Monday.

To start with I’d obtain a court order barring the HDSB from having contact with children.

Green parties have become a significant political force in many Western nations and sub-national jurisdictions. While “Green”-branded platforms vary from one part of the world to the next, they all typically draw in heterodox left-of-centre political figures who trumpet ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, and social justice through non-violent means. In some nations, such as Finland, Germany, Ireland, and Austria, Greens have gained cabinet representation and membership in ruling coalitions. In Latvia, Green politicians have even served as prime minister and head of state.
