Two recent news reports bring into question how much surveillance there is over individuals coming to this country.
Postmedia journalist Bryan Passifiume reported last week on a warning from the Council for a Secure Canada that sloppy Immigration oversight makes Canada a target for infiltration by agents of the Iranian regime. In an online statement, the organization said Canada is ill-equipped to deal with such an influx.

On June 22, Muslims murdered 25 Christians — mostly women and children — and wounded nearly 100 more inside a church in Syria.
According to eyewitnesses, one or two armed men entered the Mar Elyas Greek Orthodox Church in Damascus during mass, when it was packed with some 350 worshippers, and indiscriminately opened fire before detonating an explosive belt inside the sanctuary.
“When we got to the church, we found the doorway filled with body parts,” said a relief helper who arrived soon after the attack. Photos showed charred and blood-splattered floors, with shrapnel peppering the church walls.
This week, the New York Times experienced an uprising in its ranks and among its readers. The paper was denounced by its own staff and liberal pundits called for the entire editorial staff to be canned.
Why?
Because The New York Times actually reported news that was deemed harmful to the Democrats, specifically Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. The newspaper took the additional step of publishing a cringing explanation of why it reported the news that Mamdani lied on his Columbia application in claiming to be black.For liberals, it was an utter nightmare. For a party still defined by identity politics, Mamdani’s false claim over his race left many uncertain about how to react.The left has always maintained a high degree of tolerance for false claims by its own leaders, from Sen. Elizabeth Warren claiming to be a native American to Sen. Richard Blumenthal claiming to have served in the Vietnam War.

First responders arrived at the sleepy Markham street on March 7 to find debris strewn across the front porch of the Raguthas family home. The front doors had been kicked in.
Inside, Neveeth Raguthas, a GTA tow truck driver, and his sister, Nilakshi, had been shot. Their dog, Lucky, was dead on the floor.
Since the Hamas-Israel war began on October 7, 2023, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered an estimated 90 tunnels crossing under the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. The tunnels have been used by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups to smuggle rockets and weapons into the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli military sources, there may be additional tunnels that have not been discovered. There are also concerns that the tunnels could be used to smuggle terrorists into Gaza.
The smuggling, which increased after Hamas’s violent and brutal takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007, took place under the watchful eyes of Egypt, if not with its willing assistance.

John Brennan, the disgraced former Obama CIA director, may have opened himself up to perjury charges after a new email was uncovered in a scathing internal review by CIA career professionals of the agency’s 2016 Trump-Russia collusion assessment.
Brennan is said to be under renewed scrutiny by authorities over discrepancies between his sworn testimony to federal investigations and his written orders to underlings conducting the Intelligence Community Assessment commissioned by President Barack Obama in December 2016 that found Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump.

After a much-watched trial in the tiny town of Morwell, Patterson has now been found guilty of murdering three relatives at the lunch and attempting to kill another. Those she killed were Patterson’s former in-laws, Don Patterson, 70, and Gail Patterson, 70, as well as Gail’s sister, Heather Wilkinson, 66.
