Beware the new eugenics

Who decides what humans become?

Visionaries, dreamers, and autocrats have long dreamt of reshaping humanity to their preferred model. In the last century, eugenics was enthusiastically embraced among Anglo-Saxon elites, then by Communist Russia as a means of creating a hyper-selfless Homo Sovieticus, and, most infamously, Nazi Germany’s drive to create a “master race” via racial-hygiene laws and the extermination of people with disabilities and other “lives unworthy of life.”

Gen Z Isn’t Just Online — They’re Living in Parallel Realities

There was a time, not long ago, when Americans — regardless of region, class, or politics — shared a common cultural foundation. From the Saturday morning cartoons children watched to the nightly news programs adults relied on, mainstream culture was both a mirror and a glue: it reflected our values while keeping us tethered to the same national experience. That era is over.

We have entered the Age of Alternative Culture, an era defined by fragmentation, algorithmic echo chambers, and cultural isolation masquerading as global connection.

Olivia Chow was never going to solve the housing crisis

The idea that Olivia Chow was going to be Toronto’s housing champion was always a fantasy. Many voters, especially younger ones, pinned their hopes on her after years of inaction by John Tory, which they wrongly ascribed to his more conservative ethos. In a quick election, Chow’s long-standing brand as a “progressive” helped carry her to victory.

When it comes to housing, however, it appears Chow is anything but.

Meet the Robot Using AI to Ink Your Next Tattoo

One of the last places we might expect artificial intelligence to show up is the tattoo parlor, with its mix of artistry, personal expression and permanent ink. But a high-end ink shop in New York City is now taking appointments for an AI-driven tattoo robot.

The technology is the product of Blackdot, an Austin, Texas-based startup that has been pursuing a vision of autonomous, AI-fueled tattooing since 2019.

Former deputy prime minister Sheila Copps’ firm sues for share of $2 billion federal contract

A high-stakes lawsuit involving former deputy prime minister Sheila Copps turns on a long-running debate in Ottawa over whether she lobbied during the pandemic without registering — and whether, as a result, a federal contractor is off the hook for tens of millions in allegedly unpaid commissions to her company.

Copps, a Liberal heavyweight turned lobbyist, has long denied lobbying senior federal officials during the pandemic’s early stages.

Always the Liberals.

Reid Loses It, Claims DeSantis Is Building a ‘Concentration Camp’ For ‘Brown People’

Former MSNBC host and inflammatory hot take peddler Joy Reid wasn’t very joyful on her Saturday podcast. As Reid tells it, the new ICE detention center, dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” will be a “concentration camp” for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to put unwanted “brown people” in because “This is like being in Apartheid South Africa in the 1980s.”

Race-Based Organ Transplants in Biden Era Flipped DEI to DIE

We thought refashioning DEI to DIE was a sardonic joke, but alas, in his haste to make nearly everything in American life race-based, President Joe Biden is believed to have put “equity” over medical need in the nation’s organ transplant system. And then his people hid the documents that would prove it.

New Federal Report Links Immigration to Rising Housing Costs

So it turns out the government of Canada just released a report — and it’s not from some conspiracy blog or partisan think tank. No, this is from the Trudeau government’s own bureaucrats at Statistics Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. What does it say? Well, it quietly admits that something many of us have known for years and were called racists, bigots, and extremists for saying out loud is actually true: mass immigration has directly caused housing prices to skyrocket in Canada.

Nolte: Sicko Disney Employees Argue ‘Elio’ Bombed Due to Lack of ‘Sexuality of Being Queer‘

Pixar employees are convinced that the Disney Grooming Syndicate’s fourth flop of this year, Elio, bombed because the movie’s protagonist, 11-year-old Elio, had all his queerness stripped away in reshoots.

Yes, you read that correctly… The original version of Elio, an animated movie aimed directly at small children, portrayed an 11-year-old boy as “queer.”

Ukraine warns halt of US weapons shipments will ‘encourage Russia’

Kyiv has warned that an interruption of US weapons shipments might encourage Russia to continue the war in Ukraine, now in its fourth year.

On Tuesday the White House said that it had cut off some weapons deliveries to Ukraine.

The decision was taken “to put America’s interests first” following a Department of Defense review of US “military support and assistance to other countries”, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said.

Paramount will pay $16 million in settlement with Trump over doctored Kamala Harris ’60 Minutes’ interview

NEW YORK (AP) — In a case seen as a challenge to American free-speech principles, the press getting away with lying to American public in support of its extreme left wing agenda, Paramount has agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit by President Donald Trump over the editing of CBS’ “ 60 Minutes” interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris in October.

Paramount, which owns CBS, said the money will go to Trump’s future presidential library, not to the Republican president himself. It said the settlement did not involve an apology.
