STIRLING: There’s something suspicious about Mark Carney’s rush to pass C-5

By the time you read this, Bill C-5 may already have been rammed through Parliament, as the deadline set by the Liberal government in an unusual motion was to limit debate to just 5 days — meaning they want the bill passed by June 20, 2025, then sent to Senate for approval.

Retired energy economist and former public servant, Robert Lyman, has raised red flags. Though lots of people think Bill C-5 — ‘An Act to enact the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act and the Building Canada Act’ — is about expediting pipelines, based on what I reveal herein, it is more about vacuuming out your wallet.

Canada said it would stand up to Trump. Instead, it’s taking cues from him

Steve Bannon calls it “flooding the zone”. Donald Trump demonstrated it in his first weeks back in office, when he introduced over 100 executive orders. Regardless of their legal viability, the sheer volume of policy changes is the point. It is a political strategy to overwhelm institutions, courts and social groups, preventing effective opposition.

In Canada, we are witnessing our own version of “flooding the zone” from our new prime minister, Mark Carney, in coordination with provincial and territorial premiers. Carney is the former governor of the Bank of England. Before that, he was the governor of the Bank of Canada. He recently won the federal election by defeating a rightwing opponent Canadians feared would steer them too far towards Trump policies. Yet Carney’s “negotiations” with Trump have so far involved gentle reminders that Canada would never become the 51st state, as threatened by the US president, and capitulations to Trump’s demand to strengthen our border security and increase defense spending. In reality, Canada is moving much closer to the authoritarian rule of Trump.

Everyone is Hitler to the Guardian.

Maga splits over Trump’s Iran strategy

As Israeli bombs rained down on Iran on Monday, Donald Trump fired off a salvo of his own on Truth Social attacking one of his most reliable media allies.

“Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon,” Mr Trump wrote in response to remarks from the political commentator claiming he was “complicit” in Israel’s strikes.

“Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen,” Mr Trump continued, in an apparent dig at Carlson’s web show.

There’s more here at PJM – Beware the Single-Issue MAGA ‘Leaders’ Who Claim to Represent YOU!

… The MAGA consensus isn’t that tricky to divine; we don’t need to invest in tea leaves, Tarot cards, or professional pollsters. It’s pretty simple, folks: MAGA does NOT want American soldiers in Iran, and there’s ZERO appetite for another “Forever War” in the Middle East.

But that doesn’t mean we want Iran to acquire a nuclear WMD! Are you out of your frickin’ mind?!

Terry Newman: The woke protesters excited for Iran to ‘kill’ us all

Is it at all possible to shift the ever-amassing waves of global support for Iran to Israel, post-October 7?

So far, it appears not. No history lesson, no media correction, no event, nor circumstance has worked to date.

India, Iran using crime groups to target opponents in Canada, CSIS report says

Foreign governments are using crime groups to go after political opponents in Canada, the country’s intelligence service said in its annual report released Wednesday.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service said it had detected “a concerning trend of states leveraging organized crime networks to conduct threat activity.”

Underworld syndicates are being tasked with conducting “transnational repression of legitimate speech in Canada, among other malign activities,” the report said.

The “No Kings” Protest Is Pure Fantasy

The underlying theory is that Donald Trump is an authoritarian leader on the cusp of becoming king.

I spent Father’s Day weekend in Hood River, Oregon, and stumbled upon the local “No Kings” anti-Trump protest. The crowd was populated mostly by Baby Boomers, who appeared to be living out a political fantasy, in which they could “stop fascism” by reenacting the protest movements of their youth. One sign, typical of the genre, derided Trump as a “felon, rapist, con man”; another riffed on Mary Poppins, reading “super callous, fragile, racist, sexist, Nazi POTUS.”

Geoff Russ: The last thing Canada needs is a lecture from pro-immigration ideologues … like Carney crony Mark Wiseman’s crew at Century Initiative

The Century Initiative has nothing to offer Canada apart from hubris, desperation and bad ideas. As the G7 Summit concludes in Alberta, a province that is key to unlocking true Canadian prosperity and dynamism, Canada cannot afford to listen to those who helped push the country into stagnation.

Last week, Century Initiative CEO Lisa Lalande penned an op-ed in the Toronto Star that not only attacked the federal government’s immigration cuts but also natural resources as a tool of economic growth.

Carney hired his pal Mark Wiseman as an advisor. He is a founder of the nation destroying Century Initiative determined to turn Canada into a 3rd world shithole.

Mass immigration is nothing more than an exploitive policy for profit scam by our elites and you and I are merely collateral damage.

I wonder where in the world Wiseman and Carney will choose to live after they succeed in turning Canada into an ungovernable dumpster fire.

The Curious Case of the Castro-Cuddling, Trump-Hating Humanitarian

Sean Penn meets El Chapo

From ‘Dead Man Walking’ to brain dead talking.

Trump Derangement Syndrome claimed many casualties over the years. Big names fell like dominoes in a Hollywood earthquake. Robert De Niro morphed from a psychopathic gangster to a psychotic neighbor who threatens mailmen for delivering campaign flyers. Tom Hanks plummeted from wholesome everyman to that whiny wine mom who lectures cashiers about democracy while buying organic quinoa. Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day devolved into a has-been punk rocker cosplaying as Che Guevara at suburban music festivals. Rosie O’Donnell, the human equivalent of a car alarm going off at 3 AM, fled to Ireland. Ellen DeGeneres ditched America for England, trading political drama for a country where the sun hasn’t been seen since the Renaissance.

But Sean Penn takes the cake… eats it, then hurls it at anyone not willing to join his moral crusade.

Potential Canada-EU defence deal short on details as questions loom over feasibility of displacing U.S. links

‘Geography, cultural similarities, tight defence linkages—all of those things have gone hand in glove with the defence industrial links,’ says procurement expert David Perry.

With Canada heading towards joining Europe’s defence rearmament plan, much remains up in the air about how fully it would reorient Canada’s defence co-operation away from its current reliance on the United States.

The May 27 Throne Speech noted that Ottawa would “boost Canada’s defence industry by joining ReArm Europe, to invest in transatlantic security with Canada’s European partners.”

ReArm Europe is a European Commission project to have the bloc spend $1.25-trillion on defence over the next five years.

GAIA CRIES: The Guardian Seethes Over ‘Carbon Footprint’ of Israel’s War in Gaza

Anti-Israel journos with the intelligence quotient of a moth flying face-first into a bug lamp are just inventing stupid new ways to stir up furor at the Jewish State for daring to defend itself against terrorists obsessed with its obliteration.

The Guardian’s climate justice reporter Nina Lakhani put out a staggering piece of mind-numbing, fallacious eco-drivel May 30 that insults common sense. “Carbon footprint of Israel’s war on Gaza exceeds that of many entire countries,” cried Lahkani.

New EV rebate scam in the works, environment minister says

OTTAWA — Environment Minister Julie Dabrusin tells The Canadian Press the government will bring back a consumer rebate program to help make electric vehicles more affordable.

The federal government’s former rebate program for electric vehicles, launched in 2019, was so popular it ran out of funding, leading Ottawa to pause it earlier this year.
