Toronto’s Pride 2025 festival in peril as large sponsors pull funding amid U.S. backlash against diversity

Toronto’s Pride 2025 festival is in peril after three of its sponsors pulled their funding amid a massive corporate push against diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the U.S.

Kojo Modeste, executive director at Pride Toronto, told the Star that the companies, which operate on both sides of the border, have informed Pride Toronto that “they will no longer be supporting Pride because their mandate has changed.”

“We strongly believe that it has a lot to do with the shift that we’re seeing happening in the U.S.,” added Modeste.

Aston Martin: Going electric is ‘too extreme’ for luxury car drivers

Aston Martin’s new chief executive has warned that electric cars are “too extreme a step” for many of its customers as the company axed 170 jobs and delayed the launch of its first battery-powered vehicle for a second time.

Adrian Hallmark, who left rival Bentley to take the top job last September, said wealthy drivers were split over electric vehicles (EVs) despite calling the technology an “inevitable and somewhat necessary” shift for the car industry.

Manitoba School Board Upholds Flag Policy, Reinstates ‘God Save the King’ in Classrooms

A Manitoba school board has voted down a motion to revoke its flag policy over concerns about inclusion, keeping the current protocol that allows only the Canadian, provincial, and school flags to be flown at schools.

The Mountain View School Division (MVSD) board in Dauphin, Man., voted down a motion during a Feb. 24 board meeting to rescind its current flag policy, which has been in place since last September. Calls to include more flags, such as the treaty and Métis flags, have emerged in recent months, with newly elected trustees arguing the current policy fails to represent all students.

Prominent LGBT Activist Exposed as Leader of Child Abuse Network in Brittany

Despite the appalling crimes involving infants and an international paedophile ring, mainstream media and left-wing circles remain conspicuously silent.

A criminal network of child rapists has just been uncovered in Brittany, involving five men, headed by a man well known locally as an LGBT activist and member of the far-left party La France Insoumise (LFI). Faced with the horror and seriousness of the facts, the media and the French Left are curiously silent.

The case was uncovered by the newspaper Le Parisien, which revealed the actions of Pierre-Alain Cottineau, a 32-year-old carer, now suspected of having handed over young children for whom he was responsible to paedophiles.

“Antisemitism Emergency” in Europe—European Jewish Association Special Envoy Michael Freilich

Jewish communities in the EU face a “rising tide of antisemitism,” according to a report released in July 2024 by the European Union’s Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).

Even before Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel and the ensuing war against Hamas in Gaza, 96% of European Jews reported experiencing antisemitic incidents, the report found. 76% of those polled said they hide their identity “at least occasionally,” and 34% were reluctant to visit Jewish events or sites for safety reasons. About 4% of those surveyed said they had experienced physical attacks, twice as many as in the previous survey conducted in 2018.

Meet the World’s 24 Superbillionaires

In 1987, Forbes published its first billionaires list, featuring 140 individuals whose combined wealth totaled $295 billion. At the time, the richest person in the world was Japan’s Yoshiaki Tsutsumi, a real estate tycoon worth $20 billion.

Today, the world’s richest person, Elon Musk, is worth $419.4 billion, roughly 21 times as much as Tsutsumi at his peak and more than two million times as much as the median net worth of an American household, according to exclusive data from global wealth intelligence firm Altrata.

As the ranks of global billionaires have swelled dramatically in recent years, a new category of ultrarich has emerged—the superbillionaire. Musk is one of just 24 people worldwide who qualify for that distinction, which is defined as individuals worth $50 billion or more.

Supreme Court seems poised to lower bar for Whites to sue for job bias

Now showing more anti white bullshit

Marlean Ames challenged rulings requiring members of majority groups to meet a higher bar to prove job discrimination than groups that traditionally face bias.

The Supreme Court appeared to support the idea of making it easier for men, Whites and straight people to sue for job discrimination, based on oral arguments Wednesday in the case of an Ohio woman who claims she faced anti-straight bias in the workplace.

The high court’s conservative supermajority and at least some of the liberal justices seemed receptive to arguments by Marlean Ames, who is challenging rulings by many of the nation’s courts that require members of majority groups to meet a higher standard to prove job discrimination than groups that have traditionally faced bias.

The nerve! Asking not to be discriminated against because of her skin colour!

Trump: EU was formed to screw USA – and they’ve done a good job of it

The European Union was formed in order to screw the United States, Donald Trump has declared.

Speaking during his first cabinet meeting, the US president said: “The European Union was formed in order to screw the United States, that’s the purpose of it. And they’ve done a good job of it. But now I’m president.”

The president says his administration planned to impose tariffs on the EU very “very soon”.

Full meeting.
