The House Judiciary Committee Has Fani Willis in Its Sights

Now that Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis has turned all eyes toward her courthouse in Atlanta, the House Judiciary Committee has its eyes on her.

WSB Radio reported this morning that Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) sent a letter to Willis’ office announcing an investigation into Willis and her grand jury investigation into Donald Trump and his actions surrounding the 2020 election.

Glavin: Canada is colluding in China’s global green masquerade

It’s no wonder that Canadians are among the most skeptical people in the world when it comes to confidence in their government’s capacity to deal with climate change. That was the finding of a global Ipsos survey earlier this year, and there’s no reason to think that this summer’s record-breaking wildfires across Canada will change things much.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Trudeau sold out millennials and pushed them into Poilievre’s arms

Since Pierre Poilievre launched his Conservative leadership campaign, polls have shown a shift many previously thought impossible in Canadian politics: younger voters turning rightward.

In a reversal of the 2015 election that carried Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to power, the 18-34 demographic now heavily favours team blue while the over 65 cohort strongly prefers team red. The latest poll out of Abacus Data shows the CPC now has a 10-point lead with millennials — a group Trudeau still held by a solid seven points in Abacus’ post-2021 federal election survey.

Debt among Canadian millennials at record levels, while earnings haven’t kept up: RBC report

Canadian millennials are more likely to face the brunt of a wavering labour market as most face mounting debt with an income that fails to keep up with inflation, according to a report from RBC Economics.

The report released on Wednesday said Canadian millennials are more vulnerable to serious financial burdens if job losses continue to rise in their age bracket. July marked the third consecutive month Canada’s overall unemployment rate has increased; the rate stood at 5.2 per cent in May before it rose to 5.5 per cent in July, according to Statistic Canada.

Biden probe censored expert claims that COVID was likely genetically engineered in a laboratory

US President Joe Biden’s 90-day probe into the origins of Covid-19 censored the input of intelligence agency scientists who concluded the virus was most likely genetically engineered.

In May 2021, President Biden tasked the Intelligence Community with providing an assessment into how the pandemic began after reports, first published by Sky News, that researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology had been hospitalised with COVID-like symptoms in November 2019 in the suspected first cluster of the pandemic.

Biden got his 10%.

NRA-Style Politics Transformed Canada’s Gun Culture — and Shootings Rose 869%

A third of guns used in Canadian crimes and then traced by authorities were legally imported from the US. That’s three times the global average.

Some 300 miles north of Canada’s border with Montana, the prairies end, the roads narrow and the rural towns give way to the vast, unbroken forests of northern Saskatchewan, where on clear nights the aurora borealis dance above pristine lakes.

This is the home of Canada’s highest rate of gun crimes.

Drive-by shootings, the latest just a few months ago, have erupted in the quiet lanes of La Ronge, which serves as an entry point to the northern expanse. In May 2022, a 32-year-old man was shot dead at a cottage. A month later, on a sunny Sunday morning, La Ronge went into lockdown as an emergency alert warned of two suspects, armed with handguns, on the loose. In a community of some 7,000 people, police in recent months have seized more than 50 rifles and handguns. The firearms now line one wall of a storage room. A dozen more are stashed, barrels down, in a blue bucket.

Must be an election looming.

Nordstrom Rack and Macy’s stores are ransacked by groups of thieves who made off with thousands of dollars worth of designer purses in California

A Nordstrom Rack in Riverside has been ransacked by a band of six thieves who made off with thousands of dollars worth of designer handbags.

The incident come as Southern California experiences a wave of ‘flash robberies’, where a group of thieves overwhelm a store’s employees and security before making off with as many items as possible.

The department store on Canyon Springs Parkway was hit first on July 10 and again just weeks later in a separate incident on August 14.

Cutting back on international students could financially cripple universities, colleges … so lets keep screwing Canadians and Justin we’re not blaming students we’re blaming you

OTTAWA – If Canada reduces the number of international student visas, as Housing Minister Sean Fraser mused this week, it would be a serious blow to colleges and universities who increasingly need those students to balance their books.

Fraser, who was in the immigration portfolio just last month, said he is concerned about the more than 800,000 students Canada accepted last year, worried that many do not have access to good housing when they arrive and distort local rental markets.

‘Different factors’ fuel housing crisis, not international students: Trudeau

“We have to be very careful. Over the past years, we’ve seen a lot of different people and a lot of different groups blamed for the housing crisis. At one point it was foreign homebuyers. At another point it was developers being super aggressive. Another point, it was under-investments by various orders of government. Now it’s people saying, ‘Oh, it’s international students,’” Trudeau said.

“Yes, there’s a lot of different factors that go into this housing crisis. But it’s something that has been brewing and developing over the past number of decades.”

Trudeau can’t help but lie, it’s his nature and he will never accept blame for his monumental screw-up of Canada’s immigration policy.

Trudeau initiated a Mass Immigration scam on  an unheard of scale without a thought to how it would overwhelm our infrastructure and price Canadians out of decent housing. The deep thinkers in the Liberal Party have determined that making everyone poorer is sound economic strategy.

Those “foreign home buyers”  Justin mentions were laundering hundreds of millions from Trudeau’s admired dictatorship of Communist China. Small wonder the foreign influence inquiry seems dead in the water.

The mass immigration scam was bolstered by Trudeau’s abuse of the Temporary Foreign Workers Program which allows his Corporate Class Cronies to import wage slaves on a whim.

The international student ruse is just another way to sell Canadian citizenship and add to the pool of cheap labour Justin’s corporate cronies desire. Currently 800,000 “students” compete for housing with hard pressed Canadians.

“… The truth is that a big proportion of international student visa holders who arrive here to attend career colleges spend more time working than studying. Indeed, as immigration minister earlier this year, Mr. Fraser lifted the 20-hour-per-week work limit for international students – providing proof if any were needed that the foreign student visa program is also a temporary foreign worker program aimed at helping desperate employers fill low-paying service-sector jobs. Capping visas for these students would leave hundreds of employers in the lurch.“

Having some of our uber woke universities go bust is a good thing since so many solely focus on turning out racist grievance mongers and other degenerates.

Maybe business should pay a higher wage, I do not believe  only “desperate small business owners” rely on foreign student labour, that sounds like a Chamber of Commerce talking point.

Trudeau’s Canada Is So Shitty Even Ukrainian War Refugees Are Leaving

Returning home amid the war: Why some Ukrainians are choosing to leave Toronto

In the midst of the Russian invasion, Oleksandra Balytska landed a remote job in Kyiv with a Canadian artificial intelligence start-up, hoping to support her family.

But last fall, when the capital city was plunged into darkness amid attacks on Ukraine’s power systems, Balytska’s employer invited her to move to Toronto.

When Balytska landed in Toronto last December, she was immediately shocked by the cost of groceries.

“I was so terrified that I bought only like two ramens because of the prices,” she said.

Chowtown is right on schedule: Tent city Toronto growing again in downtown core

It is hard enough to traverse the downtown core of the city by foot, on two wheels or four.

But try walking through some of its more famous, or now infamous, parks.

We posted during the election that homeless camps would be back bigger and better under Chowreign.

Trump reveals he skipped the debate because he didn’t want to waste two hours being ‘harassed by people who shouldn’t be running’

Former President Donald Trump told interviewer Tucker Carlson he skipped the first Republican presidential debate so he wouldn’t get ‘harassed’ by rivals he said didn’t deserve to run.

He made the comment at the top of a 46 minute interview where he said he skipped the forum to avoid giving other Republicans the chance to swing at him, acknowledging it was a defensive move to sit on his lead.

‘But you see, the polls have come out and I’m leading by 50 and 60 points. And you know, some of them are at one and zero and two. And I’m saying, “do I sit there for an hour or two hours, whatever it’s going to be and get harassed by people that shouldn’t even be running for president. Should I be doing that?’ Trump told Carlson.

There’s no quit in Trudeau. With an election loss, he could still be Liberal Leader

Justin Trudeau controls the Liberal Party top to bottom, upside down and sideways, a long-time Liberal caucus member told me this week. No Liberal leader has had such ironclad dominance since his father, Pierre Trudeau.

We recall the unity wars with John Turner, Jean Chrétien and Paul Martin, and the party’s distress under Stéphane Dion and Michael Ignatieff. There’s discontent with Justin Trudeau today, owing to the party’s falling support numbers. But not like those times.

EVs are running out of customers — and some dealers don’t want them anymore

More electric vehicles are being pumped out of car factories than ever before – but some dealers don’t want them.

Electric car inventory has been piling up on dealership lots this year as companies up their EV production, leading some dealers to say enough is enough. Some are telling automakers they don’t want any more until they can sell what’s sitting, several dealers told Insider.

“We have turned away EV inventory,” said Scott Kunes, COO of Kunes Auto and RV Group, which sells Detroit brands as well as Nissan and Mitsubishi in the Midwest. “We need to ensure that we have a good turn on it.”

This rush to market of a technology not yet ready for prime time is madness.
