Ottawa has reached a deal with U.S. to allow it to close Roxham Road: sources

Radio-Canada has learned that the Trudeau government has reached a deal with the United States on irregular migration which will allow Ottawa to close the Roxham Road irregular crossing at the Canada-U.S. border.

Sources told Radio-Canada that Ottawa has agreed to welcome a certain number of migrants through official channels. The precise details of the deal are still not known.

I bet they just bus them to another entry point.

Border patrol with the RCMP: an inside look at Joe Biden’s and Justin Trudeau’s parallel problems

LACOLLE, Que.—Along the busiest spot for clandestine migrants of the 9,000-kilometre border between Canada and the United States, every approaching set of headlights causes a flicker of doubt.

There is suspicion in a car idling on the side of a dark country road, and a driver at a four-way stop who suddenly activates the turn indicator at the sight of an approaching vehicle, but cedes the right of way.

Or the very sight of a minivan.

MANDEL: Knock. Knock. Cops came to his home to demand breath sample

… This crazy incident could have had a much more serious ending for Colbert: what would have happened if he’d cracked open a few beers after he’d come home?

“Had this young man in Barrie been consuming alcohol (after driving), he would have failed the screening device, he would have been arrested and brought in to provide a sample,” Neuberger said. “So it’s real. This is a perfect example of how things can go wrong under this legislation.”

Biden, Trudeau set to meet in shadow of Chinese influence accusations

President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will meet Thursday for two days of discussions on a range of topics, but both men face Chinese-manufactured crises at home that they may be keen to escape.

“Justin Trudeau had been claiming for months that he had not been briefed by the [Canadian Security Intelligence Service] (CSIS) about Chinese interference in Canadian elections,” Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada (PPC), told Fox News Digital in a statement. “We’ve learned recently through leaks by a CSIS agent that this wasn’t true of course.”

9/11 taught me everything I needed to know about COVID Vaccine Mandates

On 9/11, many who survived the World Trade Center attack did so because they thought for themselves, disobeyed authorities, and acted with common sense.

That’s not so different from the decisions made by many of us in the last three years – to disobey, and to resist authorities who were so obviously acting contrary to our interests.

Chinese Diplomat Endorsed Montreal Councillor Who Heads Organizations Under RCMP Probe: Report

A senior diplomat from the Chinese consulate in Montreal reportedly urged attendees of an event in September 2017 to support a Brossard municipal candidate who is the director of two organizations now under RCMP investigation for being alleged Chinese police stations.

On Sept. 8, 2017, the Chinese consulate in Montreal held an event at the Service à la Famille Chinoise du Grand Montréal (SFCGM) to announce the release of a handbook meant to assist Chinese visitors to Canada. The event was moderated by Xixi Li, director of SFCGM and another Chinese community centre in Brossard, the South Shore Sino-Quebec Centre (CSQRS), according to an article first published by Sept Days, a Chinese-language weekly in Montreal.

In a normal country rather than Trudeau’s 3rd World shithole version of Canada there would have been expulsions by now.

Thousands of military members to be cut off as Ottawa introduces expanded housing benefit

After working on it for almost a decade and a half, the Department of National Defence (DND) is rolling out a new benefit to help military members deal with the high cost of housing — but it’s not going over very well with everyone.

Military members learned at a virtual town hall Tuesday that a new, highly-anticipated housing benefit is coming in July. It’s meant to help lower-ranking members cope with steep housing costs in dozens of additional Canadian locations.

But not everyone is getting it. The military estimates the new policy will mean roughly 7,700 military members who have been receiving a monthly housing allowance will soon be cut off. That news sparked an angry online backlash from those who say they will receive less than before.

The new video from Natasha Owens hit No. 1 on iTunes when it debuted. It is now at No. 5 and ahead of Taylor Swift’s “All of the Girls You Loved Before” and just behind “Justice for All,” featuring Trump and the J6 Prison Choir.

Terry Glavin: David Johnston the right man to whitewash Chinese interference

He has spent a half century supporting Beijing’s strategy to draw Canada into its orbit of influence

There are so many crazy things the Trudeau government has been expecting Canadians to believe about the partisan advantage the Liberals have accrued to themselves owing to their cozy relationships with China’s agents of influence in this country that it’s really difficult to decide which is the most objectively unbelievable and easily disprovable.

European young adults are critical of both US and China – study

Young people in three European countries are sharply critical of the world’s two most powerful countries, a study has found.

They are concerned about the US’s role as the “world’s policeman” and China’s growing economic might, says US-based Pew Research Center.

The findings are based on focus groups with some 120 adults aged 18-29 in the UK, France and Germany.

Participants were from across the ideological spectrum.

Many voiced concerns about how the US has wielded its power on the global stage and criticised its actions abroad as self-interested.

Electric cars are creating a new economy — and leaving some towns behind

Workers and small businesses in Belvidere, Ill., are dealing with the aftermath of mass layoffs, after Stellantis idled its Jeep factory

BELVIDERE, Ill. — Early last year, workers at a Jeep factory here hoped their plant would be converted to an electric vehicle facility as the auto industry revamps for a green-energy future. Engineers came to take measurements for a possible retooling, and rumors spread that electric sports cars were on the agenda.

But those hopes crumbled last month when the corporate parent company, Stellantis, ended production at the 58-year-old plant and laid off roughly 1,200 workers, ripping the heart out of this small town 70 miles northwest of Chicago.

This seems more about stripping America of its manufacturing capability. EV’s are not anyone’s savior.
