Canada considering sending 4 Leopard tanks to Ukraine: sources

Canada is considering contributing four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, senior sources told CBC News — but no decision has been made.

The government could announce the donation of tanks as early as Thursday, the sources said.

CBC News is not identifying the confidential sources because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Do we even have 4 working tanks?

Adam Zivo: How Canada sabotaged its own fleet of tanks

When asked last week about whether Canada will send tanks to Ukraine, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, “We’re not there yet.” As it turns out, maybe the reason we aren’t “there” is because a decade of neglect has rendered a significant portion of our tanks inoperable.

Tank warfare: why the West is worried about arming Ukraine

Ukraine’s top soldier, General Valery Zaluzhny, has said that if he is to launch a successful counter-offensive, the West will have to provide him with another 300 tanks. This is, of course, a negotiating position. President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government has been very effective in managing western allies: cajoling, demanding and guilting them into providing more than they intended. He’s actually going to be getting more tanks, if not 300, now that Berlin has been browbeaten into lifting its objections. Might Germany’s initial reluctance suggest a changing perception of the war? It has certainly revealed the limited nature of the European powers’ arsenals.

FBI blames North Korea for $100 million US crypto theft

North Korea was behind the theft of $100 million from an American crypto-currency exchange last year, the US government said, part of the Communist regime’s effort to beat sanctions and fund its missile and nuclear weapons programmes.

The FBI said that the Lazarus Group, a hacking organisation believed to be run by the North Korean government, was responsible for the theft last June of $100 million from Harmony’s Horizon, a crypto “bridge” that enables owners of different digital currencies to convert them into one another.

With Joe Biden, George Soros finally had a president he could control

At 92 years old, George Soros boasts more influence than ever before in the Oval Office.

Despite dumping millions into US presidential elections before, he has, fortunately for the country, incinerated most of that money into thin air. Soros donated tens of millions to the failed presidential campaigns of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, and even when he did score a win in Barack Obama, he would later complain that it didn’t get him the sort of influence he was looking for.

Calif. teacher helps students change names, pronouns without parents’ knowledge

A California high school teacher has boldly confessed that she helps students change their gender identity — without their parents’ knowledge.

“My job, which is a public service, is to protect kids,” Olivia Garrison told the New York Times about helping students socially transition at school.

“Sometimes, they need protection from their own parents.”

Censorship, Mass Surveillance and Bugs: World Economic Forum vs. The Free World

The World Economic Forum’s nation-crushing empire looks like a chop shop that has stolen parts from the world’s worst dictatorships in order to create Frankenstein’s “woke” monster. It has swiped the Aztecs’ penchant for human sacrifice to ward off bad weather, the Chinese communists’ love of total control and the eradication of traditional culture, the Italian fascists’ society-squeezing partnership with corporate monopolists, and the German Nazis’ belief in a “master race” — chiefly the celebrities, bankers, crony capitalists, and potentates who assemble in Davos and elsewhere to applaud their own achievements and further implement their “master plan,” which the WEF affectionately calls “The Great Reset.”

As Klaus Schwab, himself, recently declared to his potpourri of princely guests, the WEF intends to “master the future,” and who better to “master” what has not yet been written than those who view the rest of the planet’s inhabitants as little more than servants and serfs?

Snow Job TO #ONStorm

Taken at about 4 PM. Six Points. OK it’s looking like a storm now.

Taken at about 2 PM. Six Points. CP24 now claims up to 25 cm of snow on the way. It’s heavier now, roads are sticky but I remain doubtful about final accumulation.

Taken at about Noon. Six Points. They claim up 10 to 20 cm is on its way. My bet is they will be way off as usual. TO has it’s own climate now. 5 cm is more like it.

Tech Firms Slash Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Dept’s To The Bones, Surprising No One

Big Tech layoffs are hitting the short-lived, so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” industry hard in 2023, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Twitter’s DEI team is down from 30 to just two people, one former employee told Bloomberg. Another DEI employee at a rideshare company was let go and has been unable to find new employment, claiming the industry is stalled as technology companies deal with ongoing financial issues and giant cuts to their workforces.

Holocaust is a myth, say a quarter of young Dutch

Almost one in four Dutch people born after 1980 think the Holocaust is “a myth” or that the number of Jewish people killed by the Nazis is “greatly exaggerated”.

Research by the US-based Claims Conference, an organisation representing Jews in negotiations with Germany for compensation and restitution, has found “shocking and disturbing” ignorance among millennials and Generation Z in the Netherlands, which ranked the worst for Holocaust denial from a selection of Western countries surveyed.

Here’s the studies homepage – New Study Reveals Nearly One Quarter of Dutch Millennials and GenZ Believe the Holocaust Was a Myth or Exaggerated

They also conducted a Canadian study.

They give a good look at the methodology.
