Slain Idaho students talk mystery man hours before murder, footage shows

Kaylee Goncalves and Maddie Mogen, both 21, appeared on newly disclosed surveillance video that was purportedly taken on the morning of Nov. 13 in downtown Moscow, Idaho, according to Fox News.

The victims were wearing the same clothes they were seen in while patronizing a food truck on a Twitch livestream hours before they were murdered. They also reportedly appeared to be with the same man they were seen at the food truck with, who police have said is not a suspect.

The footage, which was reportedly provided to the outlet by the administrators of a Facebook group called “University of Idaho Murders – Case Discussion,” also contained audio.

Veterans minister says he doesn’t think they’ve told any veterans they should kill themselves lately … well probably not

Veterans minister says he thinks all assisted dying talks now known, but isn’t certain

Canada’s minister of veterans affairs says he isn’t sure whether there will be more cases of veterans discussing medical assistance in dying (MAID) with a Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) employee, but believes the four cases confirmed so far may be the extent of it.

Lawrence MacAulay is also acknowledging that his previous insistence that the first known case was an isolated incident was “not correct,” as more confirmed cases were later revealed and other veterans since have come forward with their own claims of similar discussions.

Trudeau Liberals’ online-streaming bill threatens freedom of expression

Bill C-11, the Trudeau Liberals’ contentious Online Streaming Act, inched closer to approval this week. After nearly three months in committee, the bill that would let the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulate the Internet the way it regulates radio and television, was sent on to the Senate as a whole.

Russia ‘may try to re-enact its early invasion plans of Ukraine on anniversary of war’

Russia may attempt to re-enact a version of its original invasion plans, Ukrainian military officials believe, as Volodymyr Zelenskiy warned this weekend Vladimir Putin still has enough missiles to order more heavy strikes.

The Ukrainian president was speaking in the aftermath of the latest wave of missiles to target his country’s critical energy infrastructure after Russia launched 98 rockets at 20 cities and towns on Friday.

Officials said on Saturday, however, that repairs had been speedy with water supply restored throughout Kyiv and two-thirds of the capital now connected to electricity while the country’s second-biggest city, Kharkiv, had been reconnected to the grid after suffering a total blackout.

Amazon‘s Woke ‘Rings of Power‘ Goes Even Woker by Hiring All-Female Directing Team for Season Two

Amazon’s The Rings of Power series is doubling down on its wokeness by hiring an all-female directing team for season two, the filming of which is already underway in the U.K.

I hope we find out in season 2 that Middle Earth stole all of Wakanda’s technology and must now pay reparations and appoint racialized dwarves to the boards of all public companies.

Weak conflict of interest law isn’t deterring unethical politicians

The federal Conflict of Interest Act is ineffective in dealing with politicians who abuse the public’s trust by placing themselves in conflicts of interest.

A $500 maximum fine for violating some sections of the legislation — other sections don’t even have fines — is clearly inadequate and, unlike the Criminal Code, politicians face no risk of charges, trials or imprisonment for violating it.

How Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX being in the Bahamas alone was a massive red flag

As revelations emerge about the vast scope of the FTX debacle, the inevitable comparisons are being made between its disgraced chief executive Sam Bankman-Fried and legendary Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff.

To be sure, both scoundrels were adept at parting fools and their money – lots of it. But Mr. Madoff’s victims might elicit some sympathy for being taken in by his carefully crafted façade of respectability. Mr. Bankman-Fried’s willing dupes should get no such leniency. They should have seen trouble coming.

Mr. Bankman-Fried’s venture had more red flags than a Beijing military parade, the biggest one being that head office in the Bahamas. There is perhaps no redder flag than a corporate headquarters in a sketchy tax haven with a long history of dirty dealing that has been called out by global watchdogs.

The FBI Has Lost All Forms of Trust and Credibility After ‘Twitter Files’ Revelations

On Friday, Independent journalist Matt Taibbi released another round of bombshell revelations that prove Twitter is guilty of suppressing information to favor Democrats.

The thread revealed how the FBI was in cahoots with the social media platform and “how the government collects, analyzes, and flags your social media content,” including how “Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive.”

Pentagon UFO office: Be patient. We’re working on it

Under one provision of the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, the Pentagon’s UFO (or UAP) investigative office was ordered to produce a report on their activities to Congress, presumably with an unclassified version for the public by Halloween of this year. It turns out that the trick was on us because that particular treat still hasn’t shown up nearly two months later. That office, currently known as the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), may have noticed that people were beginning to speculate as to what was causing the delay, so they held a conference call yesterday to take questions from the press. They attempted to assure everyone that they weren’t stalling on purpose or engaging in yet another coverup when it comes to the subject of UFOs. The office has only barely gotten on its feet and they’re trying to get up to speed as quickly as they can. But they still revealed a few interesting tidbits during the call. One of those was an admission that they have received literally hundreds of new UFO reports from both military and civilian witnesses since opening their doors.

EU Declares Posting to Twitter a ‘Human Right’

Does Elon Musk have any clue what he’s gotten himself into? I’m skeptical. It’s easy to kick over a hornet’s nest and then have some fun. Populists and nonconformists do this all the time. The trouble is that the hornets plan, coordinate and swarm. And then you need more than just an attitude and some memes.

You need a plan. Does Musk have a plan? We’ll find out.
