England fans in Qatar BANNED from dressing up as St George for World Cup because the Crusader outfit is ‘offensive to Muslims’

England fans dressed as Crusaders have been turned away from World Cup matches in Qatar as their costumes are ‘offensive to Muslims’.

Two fancy-dress knights were allegedly seen on social media trying to get through security before England’s match with Iran on Monday. They were wearing chainmail and helmets bearing St George’s Cross.

It is claimed that the pair, who were also carrying novelty swords, were escorted away by four officers at the security gate before kick-off.

New ChiCom group to promote Commie slave state friendly candidates in Canadian elections

On the face of it, the fledgling organization’s goals seem innocuous enough — to encourage Chinese-Canadians to run for elected office and vote in elections.

The Chinese Council for Western Ontario Elections says it wants to be an “incubator” for candidates who support the community’s interests and educate newcomers about Canadian democracy.

We are here because Junior eagerly licked Xi Jinping’s arse on behalf of Canada’s China class.

Whoopi Goldberg: Hamas, Taliban being terrorist groups ‘depends who you talk to’

Classifying Hamas and the Taliban as terrorist organizations “depends on who you talk to,” ABC’s The View talk show hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin said on Tuesday in a discussion about potential Republican Party moves to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar from congressional committees.

During the program’s segment on incoming Republican Majority House leader Kevin McCarthy’s comments on removing what he determined were untrustworthy Democrat representatives from some committees, another host, Sarah Haines, explained why she was sympathetic to the removal of Omar.

It’s the new normal.

‘Doesn’t Prevent Spread’: Feds Asked by Premiers, Industry to Remove Vaccine Mandates During Convoy Protests

Some premiers and an industry executive asked the federal government to end its COVID-19 vaccine mandates that sparked the convoy protests across Canada in winter, with some saying the mandates didn’t prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“I know it sucks politically to back down and reverse course but does it really pay to carry on the policy in support of a mandate for a vaccine that doesn’t prevent the spread of omicron and which seems to be vanishing naturally anyway?” said Alan Kestenbaum, an executive from steel-manufacturing company Stelco, based in Hamilton, Ont., in a text message to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland on Feb. 11.

Bombed, not beaten: Ukraine’s capital flips to survival mode

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Residents of Ukraine’s bombed capital clutched empty bottles in search of water and crowded into cafés for power and warmth Thursday, switching defiantly into survival mode after new Russian missile strikes a day earlier plunged the city and much of the country into the dark.

In scenes hard to believe in a sophisticated city of 3 million, some Kyiv residents resorted to collecting rainwater from drainpipes, as repair teams labored to reconnect supplies.

Friends and family members exchanged messages to find out who had electricity and water back. Some had one but not the other. The previous day’s aerial onslaught on Ukraine’s power grid left many with neither.

Toronto Tesla owners can now use self-driving mode downtown. But safety experts are worried

Tesla drivers can finally use the vehicles’ self-driving feature in Toronto’s downtown core after Elon Musk’s company removed a digital barrier to the technology this week.

Tesla had blocked the use of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software south of Bloor-Danforth back in March, reportedly due to the difficulty FSD had with TTC streetcars stopping and letting off passengers in the middle of the street.

Tesla employee fired for posting video showing Tesla’s self driving tech failing on the road

Here we have a video where a Tesla with FSD engaged hit a bollard while testing.

Alberta government bans school mask mandates, online-only learning

No Alberta schools or pre-kindergarten classes can require students to wear masks to attend school, says a new provincial government regulation.

The rules, which take effect today, also prevent almost every Alberta school from shifting Grade 1 to 12 classes to a solely online format.

Kindergarten and pre-kindergarten classes are excluded and schools in sensitive settings such as hospitals may be exempt from the rules.

Poilievre shows how to save people from the ravages of addiction

Since Republicans under-performed in the U.S. midterms, a go-to narrative to explain what went wrong is that the political right is just too focused on “owning the libs.” It’s a narrative that has picked up steam in Canada, too.

Just days ago, Toronto-based journalist Matt Gurney observed on Twitter that, “It seems that a significant portion of the right-wing electorate isn’t interested in policy.… They just like people being mean and tough and owning the libs/progressives/elites.”

Bill C-11 Raising Serious Doubts About CRTC’s Independence From Feds

A bill to ostensibly protect and promote Canadian online content has long been under fire for becoming a potential government censorship tool. Amid mounting criticism, another issue being raised with the proposed legislation is the broadcast regulator’s perceived lack of independence from cabinet.

“[Bill] C-11 turns basically an independent, arm’s-length, respected regulator into a branch of government. And I feel sorry for the commissioners who were there and I feel sorry for the staff there because they have been undercut by this government in a remarkable fashion,” Peter Menzies, a Macdonald-Laurier Institute senior fellow and former vice-chair of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), told The Epoch Times.

Weapons industry booms as Eastern Europe arms Ukraine

PRAGUE/WARSAW, Nov 24 (Reuters) – Eastern Europe’s arms industry is churning out guns, artillery shells and other military supplies at a pace not seen since the Cold War as governments in the region lead efforts to aid Ukraine in its fight against Russia.

Allies have been supplying Kyiv with weapons and military equipment since Russia invaded its neighbour on Feb. 24, depleting their own inventories along the way.

The United States and Britain committed the most direct military aid to Ukraine between Jan. 24 and Oct. 3, a Kiel Institute for the World Economy tracker shows, with Poland in third place and the Czech Republic ninth.

U. of Arizona accused of ignoring antisemitism, leading to murder of professor

“You’re a filthy kike lover who’s been deceived by them, but I really can’t blame you, they’re very deceptive,” – Murad Dervish

A top Jewish community security consultant accused the University of Arizona of ignoring antisemitism as a warning sign in a case that culminated in the shooting death of a professor.
