Sycophants At CBC Laud Trudeau’s Latest Waste Of Money As If It’s Coming Out Of His Own Pocket & Not Taxpayers

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled a slew of funding announcements in Cambodia on Saturday aimed at deepening economic and academic ties with Southeast Asia, after decades of sporadic engagement with the region.

“This is a generational shift,” Trudeau told leaders gathered in Phnom Penh for a summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

“I am announcing concrete investments that are part of our commitment to this relationship,” he said, before listing $333 million in new funding.

What an awful state of affairs, we are held hostage by a despised man-child and his equally hated errand boy.

Hacking fears after $650m vanishes from collapsed crypto firm

Cryptocurrency exchange FTX is facing fresh controversy after observers noticed “unusual” withdrawals totalling around $650m from the collapsed website’s funds on Saturday.

The collapse of FTX, one of the world’s biggest exchanges, has wiped $150bn (£126bn) off the cryptocurrency market’s value, amid fears that the crisis could yet deepen.

FTX filed for bankruptcy protection in the US on Friday following a liquidity crisis that left the crypto exchange unable to meet customer demands for billions of dollars worth of withdrawals.

Spoiled assholes throw maple syrup on Emily Carr painting at Vancouver Art Gallery

Emily Kelsall – Too stupid to live

Climate activists in Vancouver said they threw maple syrup on a painting by one of Canada’s most iconic artists at the Vancouver Art Gallery Saturday to bring attention to the global climate emergency.

Emily Kelsall, who identified herself as one of the people who covered Emily Carr’s 1934 painting Stumps and Sky with maple syrup, said she was with a group called Stop Fracking Around.

No charges? Given Carr’s oeuvre was cultural appropriation the gallery probably wants to ditch her work anyway.

Boy abducted by ISIS reunited with his family in Winnipeg after eight years

Eight years after Ayad Alhussein was abducted by the terror group ISIS, he has been reunited with his family in Winnipeg.

On Thursday at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport, Amal and Leila Alhussein hugged their little brother Ayad for the first time in eight years.

“We’re just so excited to welcome him to our new home here in Winnipeg,” Amal said.

They were last together at their home in Iraq when in 2014, ISIS arrived in the Yazidi family’s community. Amid the carnage, the family of 20 was reduced to just four. Ayad, who was only six years old at the time, was abducted by the terror group.

I can’t help but wonder why this story has received so little media attention relative to the coverage given to the ISIS whores Canada allows back.

‘We received no help’: Texts shown at Emergencies Act inquiry show strain between Alberta, federal governments

Text messages entered into evidence at the Emergencies Act inquiry describe a testy exchange between feuding Alberta and federal ministers around the time the act was invoked.

At the time, the province was struggling with a blockade near a southern Alberta village. People protesting COVID-19 restrictions used large trucks and other vehicles to block commercial traffic to and from the U.S. at Coutts between Jan. 29 and Feb. 14.

About a week into the blockade, Alberta turned to Ottawa to ask about the possibility of using Canadian Armed Forces tow trucks to remove the blockade vehicles after local tow operators rejected RCMP requests.

There is nothing innocent about the false presumption of Indigenous identity

In recent years, there have been a series of high-profile media exposés of people who are falsely taking on an Indigenous identity. They are being called “pretendians.” The word blends “pretend” with “Indians.” It’s a cute word, too cute. The use of the word pretend makes it sound like a game, like something fun, like action with no consequences. People don’t cause harm when they pretend, and pretending has an air of innocence about it because that’s what children do.

New poll finds Ron DeSantis has 7-point edge over Trump in 2024 presidential primary

A new national poll gives Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis a 7-point edge over former President Donald Trump in a potential presidential primary battle, the first survey of the 2024 cycle to do so — and the first poll since February 2016 to point to a weakening of Trump’s GOP dominance.

The YouGov poll, released Friday, found that 42% of Republicans and GOP-leaning independents prefer DeSantis over Trump as the party’s 2024 standard-bearer, while 35% of those surveyed remain in the 45th president’s corner.

‘We don’t trust you anymore’: Moment group of 70 Russian wives march to frontline in the cold to find their partners and demand their commanders send them home

This is the emotional moment wives of mobilised Russian men – who ‘hid under corpses to survive’ – travelled close to the frontline to find their retreating husbands and demand commanders return them home from Putin’s war hell.

Up to 70 women had set off on foot from Belgorod to occupied Luhansk region in search of their spouses following a ‘massacre’ blamed on inept senior officers.

Some of the wives reached the men – who have pulled back from the frontline – and confronted commanders who have so far refused to permit them to leave the war zone.

Another Day, Another CNN Discovery of Something Racist

Maintaining the illusion that there is “systemic racism” in the United States, where racial discrimination has been against the law for six decades, requires constant propagandizing, but never fear: CNN is up to the job. On Wednesday, it ran a lengthy, weepy piece entitled “‘Stacked against you’: Critics say the lottery system is preying on poor communities.” Yes, that’s right: Powerball is racist now.
