Sweden and the revolt against the evasive elites

Across the Western world people are rising up against their dishonest rulers.

So now we know: nowhere is immune to the populist surge. Not even Sweden. Not even every European liberals’ favourite welfarist state. Once considered the happy country of Europe, an oasis of technocratic calm in an often unpredictable continent, now even Sweden has been rattled by populism. In last week’s election the Sweden Democrats, a right-wing nationalist party, emerged as the second largest party in parliament. And this has shaken not only the political class in Stockholm but liberal elites around the world. It’s a ‘dramatic shift’, says the New York Times. ‘Astonishing’, says Deutsche Welle. An ‘earthquake’, insist leftist observers. They sound like the troops of an embattled army watching their last patch of territory be conquered by the enemy.

Save energy by showering together, Swiss told

Switzerland’s environment minister has recommended that people save energy by having showers together.

Simonetta Sommaruga, 62, is promoting measures to reduce consumption by 15 per cent this winter to avoid the risk of power cuts.

Why is violence breaking out in Leicester?

Just what is going on in Leicester? Last night violence broke out in the city after hundreds of young men in Covid masks and balaclavas took to the streets as part of an ‘unplanned protest’. The police attempted to contain the protestors but soon lost control of the situation. Videos posted online show officers struggling to contain the crowds while bottles fly and smash on the pavement around them. In another unverified video a group of men flip a car. According to the police, two arrests have been made and they are investigating several other incidents of violence and disorder.

For the past few weeks Leicester has become a kind of mini-Kashmir in the middle of England, with clashes, protests and disorder breaking out in the city between young Muslim and Hindu men. It’s a remarkable turn of events for a city which has long prided itself on being a functioning multicultural society, a place where Hindus and Muslims live alongside one another in relative harmony.

Australian senator brands Meghan Markle a ‘horrible human’ with a ‘terrible influence on Prince Harry’ and declares they are ‘awful, revolting people’ in an extraordinarily scathing live TV rant

An Australian Liberal senator has unleashed a brutal attack on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying she’s sick of the pair and labelling them ‘awful, revolting people.’

Hollie Hughes didn’t hold back as she weighed in on ongoing tensions between the royals following the death of Queen Elizabeth II 10 days ago, aged 96.

As billions around the world prepare for the Queen’s funeral within hours, all eyes will be on the royals after it was revealed Prince Harry and Meghan were ‘uninvited’ to a state reception for world leaders held at Buckingham Palace on Sunday.

How come we can’t have OZ style media? All we get is buckets of LPC filth served up daily on our networks.

Canada to have 50 million people, half of them immigrant families, by 2041

Canadian immigration levels are currently at their highest since the era just before the First World War, when mass immigration was used to homestead the prairies. Just last year, Canada brought in 401,000 new permanent residents.

One result of this influx, according to new projections from Statistics Canada, is that Canada will be home to as many as 50 million people by 2041. It’s twice as high as the Canadian population as recently as 1980. It also means that over the next 19 years, we’ll be adding enough new Canadians to equal the present-day equivalent of all of Western Canada (the combined population of Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba was 11 million in the last census).

Canada – A Great Big Leicester.

Trudeau declines to confirm whether child trafficker CSIS informant has been granted asylum in Canada

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declined to say Sunday whether Ottawa granted asylum to a former operative of Canada‘s spy service after he was freed from a Turkish prison last month for trafficking three underaged British schoolgirls to Islamic State militants.

Mr. Trudeau suggested, however, that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service would not have been allowed to run a double agent who engaged in the smuggling of minors under new rules brought in by his government in 2017.

I bet this burns for days.

You still can’t pack a lithium battery in your checked luggage, but by decade’s end you may be held aloft by aircraft engines powered by lithium batteries.

Thursday, Air Canada announced a purchase agreement with Heart Aerospace for 30 of its 30-passenger ES-30 electric-hybrid aircraft it plans to put into service in 2028.

Academic who said ‘witch hunt’ was a racist phrase faces £170,000 court bill

A black British academic who claimed “witch hunt” is a racist term faces paying up to £170,000 to his former employers, The Telegraph can disclose.

Dr Mike Leary-Owhin, 66, was sacked from London South Bank University (LSBU) after being accused of bullying his line manager and “playing the race card”.

Dr Leary-Owhin, a senior lecturer in spatial planning, claimed he was unfairly dismissed and suffered racial discrimination. He alleged that Dr Duncan Tyler, his line manager and former friend, used racist terms against him during the disciplinary process.

The academic said he was accused of being a “witch hunter” who displayed aggressive and bullying behaviour, the tribunal was told. Dr Tyler said Dr Leary-Owhin had been “more concerned with witch hunting than changing his attitude” in staff meetings.

FBI labeled veterans group “terror organization” despite knowing they weren’t

It seems increasingly likely that there is a core group of agents inside of the FBI that have grown tired of the overt politicization of the Bureau under the leadership of Christopher Wray and the direction of the Biden administration. Another whistleblower has reportedly come forward and presented information to members of Congress about the abuses taking place inside the FBI.

Are You A Dangerous Right Wing Extremist Who Denies Men Can Have A Baby? You Might Be Conservative Commentator Ben Shapiro Says CBC!

‘It’s a slippery slope’: How young men fall into online radicalization

“It started out pretty benign,” he recalls. “You’re watching something about teen fashion and then the next thing you know, the algorithm would push you to a Ben Shapiro video.”

Though Shapiro describes himself as a conservative political commentator, his views are controversial — and some are outright discriminatory. He’s suggested, for example, that transgender people suffer from a “mental disorder.”

But he has a combined 9.4 million subscribers and followers on YouTube and Twitter, many of whom are young people, like Brown was when he got pushed in Shapiro’s direction.

They do suffer from a mental disorder and the CBC is a dangerous enabler attempting to criminalize dissent. Why are our tax dollars supporting gender extremists on CBC?

Canada’s rising prices becoming entrenched, recession may be needed: economists

The underlying pressures driving inflation in Canada are likely to peak in the fourth quarter of this year, economists told Reuters, though most see signs fast rising prices are becoming entrenched and warn a recession may be needed to avoid a spiral.

Canada’s inflation data for August will be released on Tuesday, with analysts forecasting the headline rate will edge down to 7.3 per cent, from 7.6 per cent in July and a four-decade high of 8.1 per cent in June.

‘Excess Deaths’ From Canada’s COVID Response: Justice Centre Challenges Narrative of ‘Success’

A Canadian legal advocacy organization is challenging the narrative by governments, media, and medical associations that Canada’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been “successful.”

In a report published on Sept. 13, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) argues that the “prevailing consensus” that the Canadian response to COVID has been successful is biased because there appears to be no reference to the “excess deaths” caused by Canada’s strategy that has been “among the most stringent and sustained lockdown policies in the world.”

Fifteen arrested to ‘deter further disorder’ between Hindu & Muslim Communities in Leicester, say police

Police Hold Back Muslim Rioters in Leicester

Police and community leaders have called for calm after scuffles between large crowds led to arrests after “serious disorder” in Leicester over the weekend.

Two arrests were made and a large number of people were searched under section 60 stop-and-search powers, police said.

The disorder was the latest in a series of disturbances in the east of the city that have taken place after a cricket match between India and Pakistan on 28 August.

Such is the state of England as Queen Elizabeth is laid to rest. India is soon to be the largest Muslim nation by population. This will not get better.

‘They won’t invade, will they?’ Fears rise in Russian city that Ukraine war could cross border

The war has become impossible to ignore in Belgorod, southern Russia, just miles from the border with Ukraine. Russian soldiers retreating from the Ukrainian counterattack now roam the streets. Air defences boom out overhead several times a day. The city is once again filled with refugees. And, at the border, Russian and Ukrainian soldiers stand within sight of each other.

Three Russian soldiers from Ossetia are wandering the unfamiliar streets past the grand Transfiguration Cathedral late one evening. They seem unsteady on their feet, perhaps drunk or tired. And they’re looking for a place to eat.

China Covid: Quarantine bus crash kills 27 and injures 20

A bus carrying people to a Covid-19 quarantine facility in China has crashed, killing 27 of those on board.

The coach overturned on a motorway in the south-western province of Guizhou. Another 20 people were injured.

The accident sparked anger online from those critical of Beijing’s “zero-Covid” policy.

The policy involves mass testing and tracking. Those who test positive and their close contacts have to isolate at home or in a quarantine facility.
