Members of Jan. 6 committee claim there’s enough evidence to indict Trump

Members of the House select committee investigating last year’s riot at the US Capitol on Sunday claimed they have enough evidence for federal prosecutors to indict former President Donald Trump.

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff called for the Justice Department to “investigate any credible allegation of criminal activity, on the part of Donald Trump or anyone else.”

“The rule of law needs to apply equally to everyone,” Schiff said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Parliament Hill evacuation in Ottawa may have been prompted by hoax or bad tip, sources say

An investigation into a “potential threat” that led to the lockdown of Parliament Hill for a time was in its second day Sunday, after police in Ottawa determined there was no danger to public safety.

Police initially deemed that the threat Saturday afternoon was credible. Members of Parliament, senators and their staff were told to “shelter in place” as officers closed off streets while they investigated a “suspicious incident” and a “potential threat in the Parliament Hill area.”

Since then, multiple sources briefed on the situation have told CBC News that police are now investigating whether the source of the threat was a hoax. They’re also trying to determine if the tip that led to the massive police response was just a bad tip, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition they not be named because they’re not authorized to go on the record.

I watched the breathless headlines on the weekend and my gut kept telling me hoax or dry run.

Canadian representative attends Russian embassy party in Ottawa

The Canadian government, which has repeatedly emphasized the need to politically and diplomatically isolate Moscow over its military assault on Ukraine, nevertheless sent a senior representative to take part in the Russian embassy’s Russia Day party on Friday in Ottawa.

The reception took place at the embassy on Charlotte Street – recently rebranded Free Ukraine Street by the City of Ottawa – even as protesters outside the gates decried Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of his country’s smaller neighbour.

AOC won’t endorse Biden’s ‘24 bid right now, will ‘take a look’ after midterm elections

New York City Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declined to endorse President Biden’s 2024 re-election bid on Sunday, saying Democrats have to get through the fall’s midterm races first.

“First of all, I’m focused on winning this majority right now and preserving a majority this year in 2022,” Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the Bronx and Queens, told host Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

The Dems don’t really want either of these clowns.

Soros Stiff-Arms Chesa Boudin After San Francisco Voters Kick Him to Curb

Representatives for George Soros no longer want to be associated with disgraced prosecutor Chesa Boudin now that he’s been rebuked by the liberal voters of San Francisco, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

Hours after Boudin was recalled by double-digits on Tuesday, representatives for the liberal billionaire contacted the Free Beacon to reject its characterization of Boudin as a “George Soros darling.” The Soros representatives from public relations firm BerlinRosen say he never contributed to Boudin, and that it is wrong to label Boudin a “Soros prosecutor.”

‘Climate primitives’ are destroying our standard of living

Australian commentator Andrew Bolt has come up with a great term for the green fanatics who are shutting down energy production from dependable fuels with no reliable alternatives.  They reject modern agriculture because it uses chemicals derived from hydrocarbons, but offer no prospect of feeding the earth’s hungry billions. Bolt’s latest column (paywalled) the Herald Sun in Melbourne (he also appears on Sky News) has come up with an apt term for such people: “Climate primitives.”

Furey: Trudeau’s Commitment To Villainize The Unvaccinated

Travellers are experiencing long delays as a result of the Trudeau government’s vaccine mandates and travel restrictions. Despite calls from travel groups and airlines, the government refuses to drop the mandates.

This week, the Trudeau government announced it would drop mandatory random testing for travellers until the end of the month. As Anthony Furey explains, this will do nothing to solve the crises in our airports.

Anthony says Justin Trudeau just can’t drop the mandates because he’s fully committed to the villainization of the unvaccinated.

Millions Believe In Conspiracy Theories In Canada

We recently completed nationwide surveying among 1500 Canadians. The focus was on the levels of trust people have in institutional sources of information, and belief in conspiracy theories. This is the second in a series called “Trust & Facts: What Canadians Believe.”

Transport Minister Cites Faulty Data To Justify Travel Mandates

Liberal Transport Minister Omar Alghabra cited a study that predated the Omicron variant and relied on people to self-report their mask use to justify maintaining Covid-19 mandates.

In a tweet on Thursday, Alghabra claimed that mandatory masking made it 83% less likely to get Covid-19.

WEF Says Smartphone Tech Will Be Incorporated Into Your Body

Speaking in Davos at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, Nokia CEO and WEF agenda contributor Pekka Lundmark said that smartphone tech will be incorporated into human bodies by 2030.

When asked about it, Lundmark said, “First of all, it will definitely happen. I was talking about 6G earlier, which [will happen] around 2030. I would say that by then, definitely, the smartphone as we know it today will not be the most common interface.”

“Many of these things will be built directly into our bodies.”

The Democrats: ‘A Criminal Organization’

More than a decade ago, Michael Walsh dubbed the Democrats, “A criminal organization masquerading as a political party.” I once thought this was overstating the matter, but I no longer do. If you can’t fully accept this characterization, recent events surrounding the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, should unshutter your eyes and let in the light. Democratic leaders are encouraging lawless, threatening behavior against Supreme Court justices, and their attorney general refuses to enforce the law against such behavior. This criminal organization has a huge public relations outfit working around the clock for it, the Major Media, which is why you may have missed this.

‘Disinformation’ no longer: Pentagon confirms there are 46 U.S.-funded biolabs in Ukraine

The Pentagon on Thursday admitted that the U.S. government has supported 46 biological research facilities in Ukraine over the past 20 years.

In a document titled “Fact Sheet on WMD Threat Reduction Efforts“, Pentagon for the first time revealed the specific number of facilities its government has sponsored in Ukraine and claimed that these facilities were part of a “peaceful” public health project and were not focused on developing biological weapons.

Meet Your Fact-Checkers: AP Report Includes Quote From Radio Host Who Has Been Dead Since 2020

On Thursday, the Associated Press (AP), one of the most trusted names in news (as another Leftist propaganda outfit claims about itself), published a story about how some Cubans in Miami oppose a Democrat Party effort to buy up Spanish-language radio stations in South Florida. The article said that one Trump supporter insisted that this would not lead to editorial changes, but added that “Martha Flores, who hosts an evening show on Radio Mambi, isn’t sure about that. She attended the news conference but declined to speak.” The article continued: “‘Look at this,’ Flores said, pointing at her eyes watering. I know I would just cry.’” This was touching, but there was just one problem: Martha Flores was not actually at the news conference. She died in 2020.

What a San Francisco vote says about the US left

Parts of San Francisco have been in a state of emergency this year. The city’s drugs and homelessness crisis has divided Democrats – and this week helped bring about the political demise of one of its most prominent politicians.

Like thousands of people in San Francisco, Jay has been sleeping rough on the streets.

Jay describes his life as nightmarish – as he struggles with a fentanyl addiction he derives no pleasure from. He says he shoots up just to feel normal.

“It’s horrible man. I’m sick all the time,” he says.

The streets where he lives – the city’s notorious Tenderloin district – are dangerous too. He says he’s had fights. Drug dealers have burnt his tent down several times.

The Black Lives that Don’t Matter: 50 Christians Murdered in Their Church

Last Sunday, June 5, 2022, Islamic terrorists stormed St. Francis Catholic Church in Ondo State, Nigeria, and massacred more than 50 Christians who were peacefully worshipping their God. Videos, according to one report, “showed church worshippers lying in pools of blood while people around them wailed.”

As terrible as this massacre might seem, it is just the proverbial “tip of the iceberg”: over the years, Muslims have assaulted, shot up or torched countless churches in Nigeria.

Science’s quest for the genderless society

I HAVE a South American friend who insists that a new world order is coming to fruition soon. In her utopia, women will control everything and the men will own nothing and like it.

A world where men are all slaves and must answer to the whims of all women does sound vaguely tantalising. This scenario was described in a novel published several years ago entitled The Power where a futuristic dystopia is controlled by teenage girls having a biological ability to zap men with electric currents.

Jan 6, and when the media becomes the problem

The Greatest Show on Earth was telecast over at CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and all the ships at sea on Thursday. Did you miss it?

If you were watching Fox News primetime Thursday night, you missed the Greatest Show on Earth that was telecast over at CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and all the ships at sea.

Most eyes were maybe on the Dem-sponsored House hearings intended to punish Trump and Republicans everywhere over what transpired Jan 6 couple of years ago.

You know the fix is in when Adam Schiff sits on the panel.

U.S. Spent Over $21 Billion on Afghan Police, Got ‘Barely Qualified Mall Guards’

New SIGAR findings shine a light on America’s dysfunctional efforts to train the Afghan National Police, which “actually contributed to increasing criminality” in Afghanistan.

After spending over $21 billion trying to train a national police force in Afghanistan, the United States splurged on equipment rather than focusing on institutional reform and churned out police trainees who were effectively “barely qualified mall guards,” per an international observer. That’s according to a sprawling new report published by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) that examines what went wrong in America’s costly and ineffective management of the Afghan National Police (ANP).

Why woke culture wants you to be fat

Being a ‘fat activist’ is a thing now

Americans are fat and getting fatter. “More than two-thirds of adults in the United States are overweight or have obesity,” reports Heathline.com. The CDC (I actually trust them on this one) says that between 1999 and 2020, “obesity prevalence increased from 30.5 percent to 41.9 percent,” and severe obesity “increased from 4.7 percent to 9.2 percent.”

And so, in the wake of woke, Old Navy and other clothing companies are (trying to) cash-in on our widening waistlines by disguising their latest capitalistic campaign as “inclusive sizing.”

Diversity is conformity

Woke ideology is riddled with contradictions.

The strange thing about the doctrine of diversity, that superficially benign and compassionate tenet designed to protect and respect all sections of society, is just how intolerant and conformist it actually is. Some events over recent days remind us of this paradox.

Consider a tweet from Essex Police, made on Monday to coincide with Pride Month, and since widely disseminated on social media:

‘We celebrate diversity by raising the Pride Progress flag for #PrideMonth at our HQ & to honour those who championed equality before us! #WeValueDifference #PoliceinPride… *We’re monitoring our posts. All hate crime will be reported & investigated*’
