The leaders of Black Lives Matter could be held personally liable if they fail to disclose financial records about the charity’s $60 million in donations within the next 60 days.
In a letter issued to BLM on Monday, the California Department of Justice accused the charity of failing to submit its annual financial reports and alleged it was in delinquent status.
‘An organization that is delinquent, suspended or revoked is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds,’ the letter reads.

Alberta RCMP have clarified reports that officers had been assaulted Tuesday at a protesters’ blockade near the Coutts border crossing, saying that while there were dangerous incidents, no assaults on police had been reported.
The information from police seems to contradict a statement Alberta Premier Jason Kenney made Tuesday while updating media on the tense situation in Coutts, where a blockade of vehicles has snarled traffic since Saturday in a protest against vaccine mandates.

The kids in school who used to call out at the end of the day, “Teacher, teacher, you forgot to assign homework!”, are now in charge in politics and government.
And being good little rule-followers, they are reluctant to ease up and give individuals back the control that so many Canadians willing relinquished early in the pandemic.

Thomas Hobbes is a founder of the modern political philosophy. We can deny his conclusions, like laws of mathematics and physics are denied in some American schools, but this is unlikely to help comprehend the ongoing processes.
The human society, Hobbes argued, in its primitive, natural form is no more than a Brownian movement, where “everyone is at war with everyone.” Such is the nature of man (no matter how disgusting it may be for progressives), striving to satisfy the basic animal aspirations – power, sexual possession, gain. To avoid extermination of all by all, people are forced to agree to a ‘Social contract’: they give up unbridled individual freedom in favor of rigid laws that ensure safety for all. People can choose different forms of state power: monarchy, elite republics, democracy. However, in any case, the state must provide for the basic norms of human society: security and order.

In a lesson on human genetics, Needham High School biology students learned to use inclusive language when discussing sex. An accompanying slideshow, which Parents Defending Education released last week, defines gender as an individual’s “psychological sense of self” and asks students to research “gender fluidity” in nature.

French President Emmanuel Macron made international headlines when he expressed concerns that American cultural influence is creating division in France. As a Canadian, I have made similar observations in my country, too.
Wokeness—a political agenda with a superficial commitment to diversity and inclusion—has become a global ideological movement. And, more than government policy, it’s big corporations pushing this agenda and punishing those who refuse to comply.

COUTTS, ALTA. – There has been a breakthrough to resolve the impasse at a protest blockade at the United States border in southern Alberta.
Chad Williamson, a lawyer representing truckers blocking access to the border crossing at Coutts, Alta., says they have spoken with Mounties and agreed to open some blocked lanes.
Trucks and other vehicles have begun clearing two lanes — one going north and one going south.

Two FDA “approvals,” two shell games.
On Monday, the FDA “approved” Moderna’s Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine for all US customers. Just like the Pfizer “approval” episode, this vaccine will not be able for anyone for an indefinite period of time. And according to the FDA, the shot was approved without being tested for Omicron, which accounts for 99.9% of current U.S. COVID cases.

A senior staffer at the State Department told then-U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman in 2017, “Don’t be so Jewish.”
Friedman reveals the antisemitic episode in his explosive new memoir, Sledgehammer: How Breaking with the Past Brought Peace to the Middle East, set to be released on February 8 by HarperCollins. In the book, Friedman tells the story behind President Donald Trump’s diplomatic success in the Middle East — and how achieving it required smashing old prejudices.

The trucker convoy, the remnants of which seem determined to make those living in the Ottawa core indefinitely miserable, would have been a challenge for any Conservative leader to reckon with. But for Erin O’Toole, it crystallized everything that has plagued his leadership, expressing opposing positions within days of each other, appearing embarrassed to be a conservative, being outshined by his own caucus, and leaving everyone unsatisfied in the end. If it was indeed the trigger for the party revolt that ousted him Wednesday, it is a fitting one.
Honestly I thought O’Toole would survive this challenge and I am no fan.
I do wonder what motivated such a large defeat beyond his obvious shortcomings as a Flip-Flopper etc.
Were the MP’s party to intelligence indicating widespread defections from the CPC?
The current party platform is little different from the LPC causing my withdrawal of support.
Maybe a new leader will change my mind and I’ll return but I suspect not.

Canadian media outlets are relentlessly smearing the trucker protest. Make no mistake. Journalists are doing everything in their power to discredit an actual, grassroots, working class revolt.

Jeff Zucker resigned on Wednesday as the president of CNN and the chairman of WarnerMedia’s news and sports division, writing in a memo that he had failed to disclose to the company a romantic relationship with another senior executive at CNN.

The latest grotesque exhibition of anti-Israel vitriol among NGOs is this week’s publication of a report by Amnesty International that recycles tired, repeatedly disproven yet deliberately provocative antisemitic tropes and accusations of racism. This from an organization that was itself last year branded as “systemically racist”.
The title of the report, “Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians: a cruel system of domination and crime against humanity”, is not only a blatant and unsubstantiated lie but also an insult to black South Africans who suffered so horrifically under a genuinely apartheid regime. Few will read this 200+ page diatribe of falsehoods, distortions and half-truths, but many will see and absorb its title, which has already been plastered greedily across left-leaning newspapers and disseminated to millions in social media. The BBC, for example, trumpeted “Israel’s policies against Palestinians amount to apartheid” in an online article, giving full weight to Amnesty’s claims, quoting several people who support them, but allowing only the briefest opposing view from the Israeli government at the end.
I’m not sure Israel will win this battle. A concerted effort on multiple fronts is being made to label it an “Apartheid” state.

Erin O’Toole voted out as leader by Conservative MPs
The party’s members of Parliament met virtually today to cast secret ballots after about one-third of them signed a notice that triggered a leadership review.
Ontario MP and national caucus chair Scott Reid said in a statement that 73 Conservative MPs voted to replace him while 45 endorsed him.
There are 119 Conservative MPs, including O’Toole. As caucus chair, Reid said he did not vote.
