The source said the message was received well by Blinken.

Coronavirus: ‘Deltacron’ discovery not a mistake, says scientist who claims he found new variant

A Cypriot scientist defended his assertion that a new strain of Covid-19 exists that combines characteristics of the Delta and Omicron variants.

Other scientists have speculated that Leonidos Kostrikis’s findings are a result of laboratory contamination. But he said in an emailed statement on Sunday that the cases he has identified “indicate an evolutionary pressure to an ancestral strain to acquire these mutations and not a result of a single recombination event”.

Predicting 2022 – China’s Year of the Tiger

… Most likely, 2022 will finally be the wake-up call Americans need. For too long, American government and business leaders have sat quietly and allowed China and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to run roughshod over our nation and our values. In 2001, politicians such as President George W. Bush welcomed China into the World Trade Organization and promised that not only would it benefit global trade, but strengthen China’s adherence to the rule of law and that China would “introduce certain civil reforms.” At this point, it is clear that things have not turned out quite that way.

I suspect the Quisling China class will have something to say about that.

GOLDSTEIN: Even Trudeau knows targeting unvaccinated un-Canadian

In May 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the definitive statement on why Canada did not have mandatory vaccination laws and why he opposed them.

It’s a position he is now undermining with his indiscriminate political rhetoric linking the unvaccinated to racists and misogynists.

Compulsory COVID vaccine mandates are coming to Europe

At a small coffee shop in central Rome on Monday morning, the door was wide open and the few patrons who chose to drink cappuccino indoors to escape the cold had to show the masked baristas proof of vaccination for the first time.

The new Italian restrictions came into place after the government made vaccination passes – not just a negative COVID-19 test – mandatory to use public transportation and gain access to public spots such as gyms, hotels, restaurants and bars. Last week, the government also required anyone over 50 to become fully vaccinated, making Italy one of only three European Union countries to mandate vaccines for an entire age group.

Trudeau’s China Suck Up: Dominic Barton’s job appointment to be probed and quickly swept under rug by Watchdog

Watchdog asked to probe former China envoy Dominic Barton’s job appointment

The federal Ethics Commissioner has been formally asked to investigate whether Canada’s former ambassador to Beijing, Dominic Barton, violated ethics rules when he accepted an offer to become chair of Rio Tinto, a global mining company that does much of its business in China.

Two New Democratic MPs wrote to the commissioner, Mario Dion, on Friday. Their letter says they believe Mr. Barton is in breach of the Conflict of Interest Act because he met with executives of Rio Tinto shortly before the end of his time as a diplomat.

This is your Quisling China Class at work folks.

Ontario reports random number of “New” Covid cases … and hospitalizations rise across Canada

Ont. reports at least 2,467 patients in hospital with COVID-19, including 438 in ICU

… The province also recorded another 9,706 cases of the novel coronavirus today but the true number of cases in Ontario today is likely significantly higher due to restrictions on testing.

Of the new cases confirmed today, 1,307 involve unvaccinated individuals, 263 involve those who are partially vaccinated, 7,789 involve people who are fully immunized, and 347 involve those with an unknown vaccination status.

Omicron continues to drive up COVID-19 hospitalizations across Canada

… Former CEO of the University Health Network and Ontario deputy health minister Dr. Bob Bell says every Western country dealing with COVID’s fast spreading Omicron variant has a stressed hospital system right now.

But he says Canada will pursue lockdowns and restrictions sooner than places such as the United States because Canada has a lower tolerance for deaths from the virus.

Who Are the Real Insurrectionists?

Recently, Democrats have been despondent over President Joe Biden’s sinking poll numbers. His policies on the economy, energy, foreign policy, the border, and COVID-19 all have lost majority support.

As a result, the left now variously alleges that either in 2022, when it expects to lose the Congress, or in 2024, when it fears losing the presidency, Republicans will “destroy democracy” or stage a coup.

A cynic might suggest that those on the left praise democracy when they get elected, only to claim it is broken when they lose. Or they hope to avoid their defeat by trying to terrify the electorate. Or they mask their own revolutionary propensities by projecting them onto their opponents.

After all, who is trying to federalize election laws in national elections contrary to the spirit of the Constitution? Who wishes to repeal or circumvent the Electoral College? Who wishes to destroy the more than 180-year-old Senate filibuster, the over 150-year-old nine-justice Supreme Court, and the more than 60-year-old 50-state union?
