Kim Potter, 49, claims she mistakenly drew her gun instead of her Taser and killed 20-year-old Daunte Wright.
She now faces two manslaughter charges for his death. Her defence team claims he was resisting arrest.

Advertising revenues at the CBC fell again last year. According to Mother Corp’s annual report, recently tabled in Parliament, ad sales were down from $220 million in 2019 to just under $199 million in 2020, a drop of about 10% in one year.

British Columbia is forbidding residents who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine from hosting anyone in their homes or attending gatherings in other people’s homes over the holiday season.

On Friday night, Project Veritas released the name of the latest CNN producer to be caught up in a pedophilia scandal.
The employee, Rick Saleeby, is a producer on one of the network’s most successful shows “The Lead with Jake Tapper.”
According to a press release by Project Veritas, they released the name only after ensuring that the whistleblower and the family involved were safe.
All evidence has been turned over to the proper law enforcement authorities who are currently looking into the claims.

Canada’s population growth came to a halt during the start of the pandemic, but it’s back with a fury. Statistics Canada (Stat Can) data shows population growth had the second biggest quarter ever in Q4 2021. Estimates are now back to pre-pandemic levels, as backlogs begin to clear. Most of this growth was concentrated in two provinces, BC and Ontario.

As I reported earlier this month, Fauci began discussing changing the continually evolving definition of “fully vaccinated” in earnest, telling CNN host Kate Bouldon “it’s going be a matter of when not if.”
The “Pledge of Allegiance” when I was a kid was just a series of sounds we would make to start the school day. Look at the flag on the wall. Hand over heart. Say words we do not understand.
Later, researching this thing, I concluded that the pledge originated as mere prattle to instill patriotism during the Spanish-American War, and also bully new immigrants into giving up native loyalties. I’d say the pledges but not with enthusiasm.
And yet: last night, I joined others in saying the pledge at an event. I choked up at one point. Why? It was these words: “liberty and justice for all.”
