Afghanistan: Taliban unveil new rules banning women in TV dramas

Kabul Playhouse presents “Little Women”

Women have been banned from appearing in television dramas in Afghanistan under new rules imposed by the Taliban government.

Female journalists and presenters have also been ordered to wear headscarves on screen, although the guidelines do not say which type of covering to use.

Reporters say some of the rules are vague and subject to interpretation.

The Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in mid-August and many fear they are gradually imposing harsh restrictions.

The worst kind of domestic terrorism

Joe Biden thinks a normal Midwest family is a group of domestic terrorists if they peacefully guard their family business against rioters, arsonists, and looters.

Merrick Garland says concerned parents are domestic terrorists if they attend public school board meetings to speak about the policies of the district and its academic curricula.

AOC and her infamous “Squad” say that Trump-supporters who attend rallies are domestic terrorists if they show up while wearing MAGA hats.

The Media Can’t Stop Lying About Kyle Rittenhouse

When it comes to the liberal media, there seems to be an unspoken rule to never abandon the narrative, even when it’s been proven false.

We’ve seen this before, of course. Even after it was proven there was no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia in 2016, and that the entire narrative was cooked up by Hillary Clinton and her allies, some refuse to give it up.

A ‘Racial’ Jihad?

During one recent night, four young Muslim migrants from Morocco appeared out of the darkness and surrounded a 30-year-old woman in northern Spain. “Let’s see how we destroy that beautiful face,” they cried, before punching her several times in the face, wounding and ultimately hospitalizing her.

According to the report, the young woman was returning home alone and observed that she was being followed by several young people from whom she tried to distance herself to get to her home. After blocking her way and beating her, the four assailants fled without stealing any of the personal belongings that she carried from her.

Why Rotterdam erupted

The violent Covid riots were about more than hooliganism

When hundreds of rioters piled into Rotterdam centre on Friday night, attacking police, throwing bricks, setting off fireworks and rampaging through the streets, it was no small irony that they left a police car burning outside the Erasmushuis. This cultural building represents one of Rotterdam’s most famous exports: the humanist and Renaissance scholar, Erasmus, known today as a beacon of tolerance and liberty.

‘Statistically improbable’ multiple Tory MPs have valid COVID vaccine exemptions: Holland

It is statistically unlikely multiple Conservative members of Parliament have valid medical reasons not to get vaccinated against COVID-19, Government House Leader Mark Holland said on Monday.

All MPs must be vaccinated against COVID-19 if they want to sit in person in the House of Commons, the Board of Internal Economy ruled last month, unless they have a valid medical exemption that has been shown to House administration.

White House doctor is hiding Joe Biden’s brain drain: Devine

President Biden went for a colonoscopy Friday and his doctor pronounced his brain is fine.

So now he and his inner sanctum have let it be known he plans to run again in 2024, when he would be 82.

No one really believes any of it.

For one thing, where is his cognitive test? That’s the question increasingly on American minds. It’s clear, from his often bizarre or befuddled behavior, that something is not quite right with the president, which is why 59 percent of voters want him to take a cognitive test and release the results, according to a new McLaughlin & Associates survey published in the Washington Examiner.

‘Pipelines will be blown up’ if leaders don’t act on climate change says crazy old crank

Long-time environmental activist David Suzuki made an extreme statement over the weekend about what could happen if politicians and global leaders don’t act to reverse climate change.

“There are going to be pipelines blown up if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on,” he told an Extinction Rebellion Vancouver Island protest in Victoria on Saturday. He made the statement not as a threat but a warning.

JK Rowling blasts trans activists for trying to ‘intimidate’ her by posting Twitter picture that revealed home address

JK Rowling has blasted three trans activists for trying to ‘intimidate’ her after they protested outside her house before posting a picture of her address on social media.

The author, 56, has faced accusations of transphobia after she mocked an online article in June 2020 which used the words ‘people who menstruate’ instead of ‘women’.

She later defended herself against the claims in a passionate essay but has continued to face criticism. Rowling is a notable absence from the upcoming Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion in light of her views.

US added to list of ‘backsliding’ democracies for first time

‘Visible deterioration’ in US civil liberties began in at least 2019, says international thinktank

The US has been added to an annual list of “backsliding” democracies for the first time, the International IDEA thinktank has said, pointing to a “visible deterioration” it said began in 2019.

Globally, more than one in four people live in a backsliding democracy, a proportion that rises to more than two in three with the addition of authoritarian or “hybrid” regimes, according to the Stockholm-based International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.

“This year we coded the United States as backsliding for the first time, but our data suggest that the backsliding episode began at least in 2019,” it said in its report.

Shamima Begum CAN’T go back to court to plead for her British citizenship back, says the government

Shamima Begum cannot go back to court to get her British citizenship back, a minister has insisted after the ISIS bride gave an interview denying carrying out atrocities.

ISIS-bride Begum was stripped of her citizenship in 2019 by Sajid Javid and in February this year the Supreme Court ruled on national security grounds that she cannot return to Britain to pursue an appeal against the decision.

However, she announced yesterday she is willing to face trial in Britain for the chance to come back.
